Friendly people and attentive service. A bit hard to find off the main street but it’s cosy and comfortable when you are seated. Fresh truffles were offered (for our pasta) and we said yes please… although the hype is always a bit more than the reality. Knowledgeable about wine and some good choices offered by the glass, and a ‘crunchy’ tiramisu to finish. A welcome find in this beautiful and interesting small city.

Excellent restaurant for a nice dinner in Massa Marittima. The food and the wine was extraordinarily good ..especially the pasta with fresh truffles. Service is also super friendly and prices overall totally fair Full recommendation from our side !

Small menu, delicious pasta, great decor across two floors, dog and child friendly. Sides are well-portioned and very tasty (roasted veg and salad). Tiramisu served in a plant pot and has a crumble-like topping

Pace is really cool and secluded. They have separate rooms for individual tables. Waiter gave great suggestions for our meal, and all the food was amazing!! Really a great place. Try the tiramisu!

We enjoyed a great meal at Osteria da Tromca at the recommendation of our hotel. They graciously fit us in for a late dinner, and we’re so glad they did! The carpaccio antipasti was excellent, especially with the addition of a light cheese and fresh raspberry reduction that was added to the top. The primi courses, the cinghiale pasta ragu and the rabbit ragu with lemon and olive, were both delightful and quite flavorful and light considering they were pasta dishes. Our secondi were likewise lovely, including more cinghiale, this time in the form of a cacciatore stew (lovely and rich) and lamb “in a net” (i.e. ground spiced lamb meatballs in a light sausage skin). What really stood out alongside the delicious food was the fantastic selection of local regional wines available by the glass. The wine list provided the perfect opportunity to sample wines from Massa Marittima and the surrounding area, including a wide selection of organic wines. We’d recommend putting this on your dining list while in town (but be aware, the charming brick and stone walls ensure there’s no cell signal or WiFi 😘)

Delightful place, two of the best dishes we had on our Italy Trip came from Osteria da Tronca. The Tiramisu with crumbles is the best!

Delicious, honest local food with a few innovative twists. Great wife list, friendly and helpful waitstaff, and they were very patient while our kids ran amok…

One of the best restaurants I have been to recently. Amazingly good prices for the service, the beautiful ancient location and the wonderful food. The menu is full of creativity and pairings that I had never seen and tried in my life that I found very experimental, bold and truly delicious.

Yelp
After walking around in the rain on a sunday we felt a bit hungry. This place has mostly good feedback, so we chose to have some lunch here. Inside it is a really fantastic place. Great setting, with original stone walls on two floors. Feels a bit like in a cave / wine celler (in the most positive way). Nice tables (with candels). Our dog was very welcome as well. The menu was fine and the prices fair. We had some Crostini for a starter and the Penne with cream, Speck and Cauliflower as well as big Ravioli with Sage / Ricotta filling on a butter sauce. Solid food, the handmade Ravioli were really nice. Crostini quite average. Some pie for dessert....unfortunately way too sweet for our likings. So far the place was quite alright. But the female host from Germany was a bit overly pushy when it came about ordering food and wine (looks like we ordered too less: a starter, two mains, a dessert and two glasses of wine!). She was also quite talkative. I know many visitors might like that fact, but I love to enjoy a lunch quietly.....just me and my wife (and our snoring dog under the table). All in all the place was an ok option for lunch. But not a place we'd go back to.
