Lovely small award winning restaurant—reservations recommended. I ordered their seafood set menu -4 dishes for 38 euros. The octopus carpaccio antipasti was excellent with an emulsion of octopus water into a thick delicious sauce. The primi was spaghetti with muscles and clams. Unfortunately it was over salted and had to be sent. They were gracious, tasted it, agreed it was over salted and prepared a new plate. The secondi was squid with arugula. The dolce was lemon sorbet in a bathe a prosecco. Both the secondi and dolce was spot on. The highlight was the carpaccio of octopus. Front of the house service was excellent. We got a bottle of really high quality Chianti for about 60 euros. I would recommend this restaurant.

Great ‘locals only’ place with both authentic Tuscan surf and turf! Awesome wines, traditional dishes and great relaxed atmosphere. Not a tourist trap like most of Pisa!

Love this place! Staff welcomed us in for a nice lunch. I had the clam and muscle soup, fantastic. My wife had the clam and muscle spaghetti, it too was unbelievable. the sauce was one of the best i have ever tasted. If you are into really good food, try this place.

Really enjoyed our evening here and would go back again. Staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient. There were only three waitresses but they worked really well together while still finding time to answer any questions about the menu. Ravioli were superb, as was the wild boar. Not a huge restaurant and seems to be popular so be sure to reserve a table.

Google
Our hotel recommended this restaurant so we gave it a try. They have meat, seafood and vegetarian 4 courses menu to choose from. You can even change some of the dishes if you want. Very friendly staff and quick service. They didn’t leave the impression that if you don’t order wine, then they will treat you differently. Not every dishes are good. My mussels spaghetti was a bit too salty but had the right chewiness. The steak also was just ok. The lemon sorbet was very good. The grilled octopus was good and juicy as well.

Wow! We had the Prix Fixe seafood menu! Amazing. And the lemon gelato with Prosecco! Final touch.

Everything what we ordered today was okay. We didn’t like the food, just were hungry and ate half.

Yelp
I love the setting of this restaurant. They cook the pizza traditionally in front of you. This place gets packed very quickly. I tried the pizza carbonara. Staff is very friendly.

Yelp
You can tell that this is a longtime establishment taking great pride in serving patrons from all over the world. The quality of the cuisine is spectacular and impressive. The service attentive and very professional. I never felt rushed even though I arrived 20 min prior to lunch service closing. I'll remember this experience for a long time.

Yelp
Came here for lunch after a lot of searching for something that was rated well and open. If you go by the stickers on the front window, the place has been Michelin star rated since like 2007, so we figured it would be good. We walked in around 12:45 (right after they opened) and were seated immediately. I ordered the tagliatelle with rabbit & asparagus. They brought some bread while we waited - about 15 minutes or so - for the food. The pasta was very tasty! The portion size was a little smaller than I would've hoped but the presentation was nice and the flavor was good. The rabbit was cooked perfectly (If you've never had rabbit before, it kind of tastes like a mixture between ham and sausage). The price was moderate at 10€. The service was great and our waiter spoke very good English. I'd say this is more of a 4.5 star rating, but I can't give every restaurant 5 stars and this didn't blow me away, so I ended up going with 4 stars. I would be willing to come back if I was local.

Yelp
Roaming around Pisa had us starving for a good lunch. We stumbled upon Osteria Dei Cavalieri by chance since every restaurant rated decently is closed before 12 pm. All the other ones opened had mediocre ratings and we didn't want to settle for less than best. The place is hidden on a side street so if you walk to fast you might miss it! Luckily, this place opened up at 12:30 pm, prime lunch time! I ordered the ravioli and my bf ordered another pasta dish. The cheese in the ravioli is high quality and extra smelly if that is your thing. It was delicious, but a little too strong for my taste. My bf enjoyed it very much. Our orders came out to be 25€ total for 2 people. The meal came with complimentary bread.

Yelp
Great place nice ambiance good airconditioning. We stumbled upon it looking for osteria dei cavalieri that was unfortunatly closed for the holiday season. Personel speaks good English. I would recommend the housewine it's tuscan and nice especially for the price. The cold cuts and bruschetta where great also there was this dish of grilled cheese and vegetables, but I forgot the name of the cheese, that was really good. A little hidden away but definitly a tip!

Yelp
Had a lovely experience at this local restaurant. Great service and delicious food. I started with a clam and mussel soup which was served with toast points, had tagliatelline with razor clams for the second course, and sliced beef with radicchio for the main course. The wine and dessert were also delicious. Though I was one of the first to arrive when the restaurant opened at 7:45, it filled to capacity quickly. I enjoyed seeing what everyone else ordered and wished I'd gotten the local specialty of fried dough with Tuscan ham, cheese, and some of the carpaccio appetizers. Maybe during the next visit...

Yelp
We had stopped by Pisa to see that object that leans and got hungry .Really enjoyed my lunch at Osteria, enjoyed a delicious bowl of mussels and clams. The bread served was charred just right , nice grill marks. The waiters were friendly and fast. It wasn't long before the entire restaurant was filled with other tourists, that usually makes me leery but I must say I enjoyed my lunch.

Yelp
The Florentine steak we had October 2, 2015, was super delicious. We even got a table for two, checking with them at 7:00. They seem to open at 7:45.

Yelp
I entered the restaurant with two friends of mine asking for a table. The waiter looked at us from feet to face (and we were well dressed) but it was obvious they didn't like the fact that we were young adults. The waiter answered with a rude "No" and since we're standing at the door, he rushed us to leave saying that clients inside would get cold. I was never treated this way in any restaurant in my life. I don't care if the reviews are good, with this rudeness I definitely will never eat here.

Yelp
Went here with a huge group (26) on recommendation of an Italian friend who had been to university here. We were all happy with the 4 course menu (vegetarians got great food as did we meat eaters). Had freely flowing wine and water as well spectacular food for 37€ each.

Yelp
We were a group of two for dinner on April 4, 2016. The waiter was polite and seated us quickly. There was a waitress( thin girl with long hair) also working the floor. It soon became an uncomfortable atmosphere . The waitress was apparently anxious and irritable because she was zipping so quickly around with an angry look on her face. She would fly by our table and deposit a bottle of water and not say anything to us. It was quite uncomfortable how the waitress and our waiter were huddled together obviously sharing complaints in plain view of all the customers. They both displayed very unprofessional behavior. Then our food came. One was a vegetarian dish of vegetables and scamorza( which was nothing more than a big blob of melted cheese) and a grilled calamari dish. I told our waiter that my calamari dish was full of sand; every bite had a gritty sandy crunch to it. He offered me to order something else but I refused his offer. Then it became even more uncomfortable when a chef came out and was eyeing us as he was walking past our table a few times; each time giving us a dirty look. Then we get our " bill" which was one of those receipt pads you buy in a stationary store and all that was on it was the total. Nothing was listed. Just a bottom number. I have never seen a food receipt look like this. To top it all off was the way the waitress just flew by our table and slapped down the bill without saying a word. I had to call the waitress over to explain the charges. They never removed the calamari dish off the bill ( I must have eaten no more than a quarter of the dish). I would never come back here again. Terrible experience.
