Very beautiful resturant. The staff was very friendly and professional. It is a bit fancier restaurant, but the food doesn’t disappoint! Big wine selection and many traditional milanese dishes to try!

The place is very cozy and the staff very efficient. However, they try to fit more people who truly can have the table. Then, you have little space for you. On the other hand, it's very noisy, very. Some dishes were yummy but others not, to highlight the eggplant.

This place is one of the classical food experiences in Milan - a city where it is easy to eat very averagely. Binari is atmospheric, practiced and professional. We arrived and my husband was not impressed to be facing the wall at the end of the room and the mirror ( yes - I took the seat w the view of the charming room!). I’d booked online weeks in advance and as we were leaving the following morning I decided I’d ask if we could be moved. Not a problem - possibly because we arrived at the very early (by Milanese standards) hour of 7:30pm. They happily reseated us. The wine list was comprehensive- we enjoyed a Barbaresco, the waiter was charming and the food was delicious. I tend to always try the Vitello tonnato - and this was an excellent version. My husband was not as impressed w his seafood pasta. We enjoyed ourselves though . We walked back to the metro past the student bar where they were spilling onto the street w the smell of pot wafting through the air and pizza being delivered and caught the very safe metro back to our accommodation. A classic experience.

We had an amazing experience in this restaurant, everything was just beautiful. The food, the people, the atmosphere as well as the view of the inside restaurant was beautiful. Bader was amazing, many thanks for him to feel us welcomed and answered all of our questions well. Bader is very respectful and he cares for his clients, it was my birthday and through reservation he saw the date and have put a candle on my desert and it was so sweet and amazing. We are not wine drinkers but we decided to have wine tasting and it was a nice expectation. Overall beautiful experience.

Dining in their garden was great, the food was tasty. Service was very slow. No waiting for table if you have reservation.

The food is reallly good. We ordered veal ossobuco, ribeye (I believe it was Angus) and codfish. The veal ossobuco was absolutely amazing, both meat and risotto were superb. The steak was alright, maybe because I’m not a fan of smoky flavours? We asked for medium for the steak but I would go for medium rare next time. Not sure what’s that green sauce inside the codfish, I think it’s some sort of vegetable mash but it was great. The fish is slightly salty but I loved it, the potato mash is very tasty as well! We sat in the garden at around 7:30pm and it’s summer, there were ants and better. We both got bitten by mosquitos…so if you’re going during the summer, choose indoor!

Amazing all around. The fasano tartar with truffle and anything ossobuco were among the best things I've ever eaten. The service was kind and attentive, and what a beautiful space! 10 out of 10

A few steps from Navigli, you can taste traditional Milanese cuisine in this historic restaurant. There is a nice selection of wines. The risotto with artichokes and risotto with ossobuco, beef wellington, Milanese cutlet, homemade desserts (creme brulee, tiramisu) were all delicious. Thank you to the kind staff for this lovely dinner.

Yelp
Amazing food We visited this restaurant in the Navigli area on the recommendation of a local. The dining area is in a leafy atrium/conservatory with atmospheric lighting and a nice feel. On the recommendation of our waiter, we ordered the osso bucco which came with risotto Milanese and the Iberian pig cheeks. Both meals were cooked perfectly and presented beautifully! The service was excellent too - we appreciated the glass of prosecco, the crudites and the breads at the start of the meal and the pasticcini (petit fours) at the end of the meal - but note that this comes with a cover charge of €5 per head. This is nicey but pricey!

Yelp
We came by without a reservation our first night in Milan, and were rudely chased away by the hostess, although the restaurant appeared to be only a third full. Undeterred, we had our hotel make a reservation for us the next night. The beautiful courtyard is immense, full of greenery and twinkling lights - magical. Our server was kind and professional. My veal cutlet was unremarkable but my husband's osso buco with risotto Milanese finally made me understand what is so special about this dish. On our way to the restroom, we passed through a tavern room with Murano glass chandeliers, red velvet banquettes and marble tables - beautiful! I swear I could hear the ghosts murmuring to each other.

Yelp
I enjoyed this restaurant! We came her for a birthday dinner as Americans visiting Milan. We found this place on a Tik Tok that highlighted its great service and beautiful outdoor patio. The service was amazing from the hostess to the waiters, everyone was kind and helpful. Their staff spoke basic English which made things easier. We were quickly sat and escorted to the beautiful outdoor patio. It's cute and lit up with Christmas lights at night. We ordered the house white wine which was really good. The staff were good sports and helped us when we said "surprise me!" For the entrees. We ended up with saffron risotto and Osso Bucco Ravioli! Both dishes were excellent quality and the pasta was so so so beyond fresh! Although these aren't my personal favorite dishes, I still appreciated the quality, presentation and attention to detail. The dessert menu was too tempting- so we ordered it all in a sample plate. Again, not all my preferences but good quality. I think when trying new foods, especially of a different culture, you have to recognize when something is of great quality and simply not your favorite taste. I was so happy to experience this restaurant and support a business who cares to give their customers a good dining experience!

Yelp
This place was by far our biggest disappointment during our Italy trip. We were there right when they "open" but we were informed the time change and they wouldn't open for another 45 min. We should have left but I really wanted to try one of their dishes so we waited around (because even though there were employees inside chatting with each other, we couldn't come in). We finally got in and our waiter took forever to take our order. When he finally came, he was very pushy cause we didn't order wine. We just wanted water and he made us feel super uncomfortable for not buying a glass of wine. I ordered the Risotto Milanese which is what I came here for. What a disappointment this dish was. It was extremely blend and the risotto seem as it wasn't cook right. My husband ordered a gnocchi dish with a red flavorless sauce. It was really bad as well. No flavor, very plain. The bill came out to close to €55 for two dishes that were very bad. We were super disappointed. We don't mind paying for good food but the wait and the bad dishes were not worth it.

Yelp
Was in Milan for work and one of our crew members had this on her list of places to go to. Due to our work schedule, she didn't make it. But as I stayed on, I went and loved my meal. Amazing Ravioli and the Panna Cotta was beyond amazing.

Yelp
We loved it! We were first in the door at 7.35pm - seated in the garden and nicest waiter on earth. Enjoyed 3 courses plus all the extras. Prosecco, pâte, vegetables, bread and desserts made it extra special. We all had different things but thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the gnocchi were amazing. A must order!! Would return in a heart beat.

Yelp
After spending my entire lunch time searching for a restaurant to eat risotto at - apparently all of them were closed for lunch today- I FINALLY tried my risotto alla milanese at the internationally-recognized and quite traditional Osteria del Binari for dinner. The restaurant was nothing bu fabulous! They brought out complementary cava, and then pheasant patè. Delightful! Then came the risotto alla milanese at osteria del binari- I am now STUFFED. They even had this little tool with which I dug the marrow out. For dessert? Tortino caldo al cioccolato con salsa al pistacchio. Duh. The awesomest restaurant EVER! Very green, secluded private terrace covered in vines with grapes- wonderful! Quite a romantic, Italian vibe. Incredible service, friendly staff, and a great traditional Italian restaurant. Five stars. It is very hard to give any restaurant in Italy five stars, as they are not a service minded as they are in the United States. But this place really is. A new favorite of mine. Next time I'm in Italy I honestly would go to Milan just to go here

Yelp
What an amazing place! They were over the top on everything! The wine, the croissants, the food. The servers were out of this world good. They had great suggestions too. We had our daughter and they took us with no reservation. Definitely 5 stars!

Yelp
This traditional restaurant has a large garden terrace with excellent service and the Milanese dishes you hope for. Really glad I came here and highly recommended.

Yelp
fantastic atmosphere. Went for sunday lunch, booking highly recommended! Every milanese specialty is to try, but I want to also recommend the sesame tuna, which is one of the best thing I ate in my life!!!!! Dessert: warm chocolate muffin with pistachio cream!

Yelp
The Milan Risotto was very good but the Cesar salad was as bland and lifeless as a Cesar salad could be. I will say the ambiance lived up to what I expected and the service was great! I would have gave it a 5 star rating but I can't forget that salad. I literally ate everything around it.

Yelp
We were a large troop of 12 people to go the Osteria. We had been recommended the Osteria del Binari as an insider tip. The restaurant itself (unfortunately I did not take photos) feels like an old house/apartment from the 20s. You enter the restaurant and are standing in the middle of the room. On your left a wonderful fireplace with the crackling fire. To your right, the first group of people sitting at their table and eating. They sat us in the heated, or course - winter garden area The selection of food and drinks is very good. Not terribly special or innovative, but good Italian food for not much money. Only the meat was - despite the voiced desire for a medium-rare steak - more towards well-done and thus relatively dry. The service was fast and courteous, so that we felt in good hands. Conclusion: Simplicity in all points. But not a real highlight.

Yelp
An absolutely charming place. You feel like you are eating indoors while you are actually eating beneath a grape arbor. All the food is excellent, though the portions are a bit large. An extensive wine list at reasonable prices made for a wonderful meal. A definite must visit when in Milan.

Yelp
I found this in a Rick Steves guidebook, so my husband and I tried it. It was suppose to be $ (according to the guidebook), but I found it to be $$ aka not inexpensive by any means! That would have been fine except the food did not live up to the price. The bruschetta was not as fresh as we were used to in similar restaurants. The water tasted realllllyyyy strange. The main dishes were fine, but nothing special. On a high note, the staff was friendly and accommodating, but with the many restaurants in town, I would choose another.

Yelp
This restaurant is a little oasis hidden by the train tracks. I loved the front entrance, with an old brass door that brings you into a living room-like setting, with a warm crackling fireplace. We ate dinner in the back garden (which is fully enclosed). The waitstaff was very friendly, and spoke English really well. We had heard from a coworker that this is a traditional Milanese restaurant. To start, they bring different kinds of bread, and some raw veggies like carrots, cucumber, and peppers. They also gave us each a little flute of prosecco. The sommelier recommended a nice bottle of white wine that paired well with our dinners. The food was delicious and I'd definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
Went here last night and walk through the rain to get there. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but beautiful on the inside. Fantastic execution of Italian cuisine. Had a seafood tortellini to begin with, which I've never had before, but was delightful. The Risotto Milanese was the best I have ever had! Highly recommended!

Yelp
Let me start with the positives - 1) fantastic sommelier with great insights and recommendations 2) great old world setting 3) Good and pleasant service 4) nice little extras - glass of cava and fresh veggies After a great start with the main courses were all a bit of a fail - the seafood pasta was fishy smelling and not very flavourful, the osso buco was over cooked and the mushroom pasta was passable but not great. Maybe an off night but definitely not a four star on this night

Yelp
Amazing amazing dinner, the patè took me back to my child hood. The raw vegetables were all amazing. The sommelier was great, very helpful and didn't just point to the most expensive wine. Overall great dinner in Millan, felt rustic and old. I would come back in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Seriously, 94 degrees outside, outdoor seating only, no air conditioning, no floor for God's sake. Let's all pay 200.00 to eat in the garden, be eaten by mosquitos and sweat ourselves to death. Get a clue.

Yelp
Osteria del Binari's front door makes you wonder: what is going to happen when I step out from the din of trains, late-night buses and dimly lit streets? The street scene had given my doubts, had I really dragged my friend all the way across town for this? I hoped for a portal. We opened the door. We were transported to a richly lit entrance room and a sense of being in good hands. The place was recommended to me by a colleague from Milan. He said "this is fine, traditional Milanese food". It is, and more than that. It is a place that welcomes you as you enter with drinks, amuse bouche, and a garden setting that seems impossibly placed. Are we really in the same neighborhood? Is the train track really just a few dozen meters away? Where did these people come from? Tourists and Milanese alike. A couples dinner or a special occasion. The food is high quality, from a wonderful pate of duck, to light breads, to glistening pasta that seems to be have been rolled and dried earlier that evening, and just pulled from the pot, clinging with a delicate red sauce. The risotto and meat are hearty, come hungry and ready to eat and drink. Finally, desert. A small plate of biscotti awaits alongside whatever you order. We had the tiramisu - ethereal. And then, chocolate dipped grapes. The waitstaff is generous, appearing at the right moments, and then stepping back. Highly recommended. My best meal in N. Italy.
