Wonderful authentic Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere. Always a highlight of our visits to Kanazawa. Friendly service and English menu provided. The food is excellent. Especially recommend the risotto and the gnocchi. Bar available but as non-drinkers we still always feel welcome and enjoy the non-al mocktails. The restaurant is in a tucked away spot so I recommend copying the Japanese address from their website to show your taxi driver.

This was our best meal in Japan so far!!! The flavours were matched perefectly, great service from Syu and great wines to compliment the meal. Can not recommend highly enough! Thanks for having us, if we ever return to Kanazawa this will be the first place on our list to return to.

An amazing 140+ year old Japanese building renovated with subtle Italian touches. The antipasti’s were tasty. The wine was on point. The risotto from the parmegiano cheese wheel was perfectly al dente. Syuichi is a fantastic host!

Great Italian place in Kanazawa! If you’re ready to eat something other than ramen or sushi, try this restaurant. It’s friendly to English speakers and was easy to dine solo! The man running the restaurant Syuichi Oyama was very attentive and provided great recommendations for food and wine. Also very affordable!!

A lovely authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Kanazawa. Each course of the set menu was delicious, with great presentation. The chef clearly has an insight into the ingredients, flavours and textures. The host was friendly and attentive. It was our wedding anniversary and we celebrated in style! The dessert had a personalised touch, referencing our anniversary. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic food, service and ambience. Our server whose name started with Shy? was so amazing and the food was delicious and perfectly cooked. We started Wi to the simple salad and it was nice and cold with a perfectly balanced light vinaigrette and persimmons. We hade the housemade truffle ravioli and the risotto served in a cheese wheel. Both were excellent. The garlic bread was the best I’ve ever had. Very cozy ambiance. Female chef too who came out to say hi to other tables.

We were looking for something fresh and delicious after a week of Japanese cuisine that was a little more western. Osteria was fantastic. The food was outstanding - we had some pastas and the pork shoulder. The service was warm and accommodating. Our kids asked to come back again (7 & 9 years old) and we would definitely eat here again with or without them.
