Ostería del Capuccino

Updated: we went with friends a second time a month later and enjoyed it much more. Instead of sandwiches we had pasta, the lasagna and the tortellini. The bread they served at table was very good and the pasta also was good. It still was not cheap, nearly $50 USD for two with water and entrees only, but the good was much better. The interior is lovely and cute, with colorful decorations and a quiet atmosphere. The staff is pleasant, but the sandwiches we had were really bad. Specifically, they were plated poorly, nothing but a sandwich on a plate. And then the bread was so so stale. It was pretty inedible. I had ordered the turkey and pesto and he had the Italian, which was really roast beef with roasted eggplant. It took a long time for the order to arrive and it wasn't really warm, the cheese wasn't melted. Not a very good meal I'm afraid, and for nearly 500 pesos each

Very elegant place to hang out. I enjoyed my time here. Delicious ice cream and desserts! This place is by far my favorite so far for my sweet cravings.

Stopped in for breakfast before our flight back to the states. Decor is beautiful and staff was helpful with the menu. My family doesn't speak Spanish and I only a little bit. Food came out promptly and was delicious. We had a mixture of omelets, breakfast meats, fresh breads & preserves, coffee. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Wish I had time to get desserts. They look amazing!

Ottimo, one of the best Italian Restaurants in Santo Domingo. Chef Franco, from Venetian origins makes traditional and innovative dishes, with the freshest ingredients and Italian tradition. A wide selection of desserts and sweets also available on their Deli, next door.

Excellent service. The food was delicious. I was nervous to visit this place because most of the fancy restaurants in Santo Domingo are racist, but this wasn’t the case, I felt welcome and was treated with so much respect. The staff were so attentive and nice to us.

This is a great place to take a girl on a date (and not just any girl, i mean a girl you really into😂) the restaurant actually takes up quite a vast part of that street corner, its an italian restaurant/ bakery/ coffee shop. The moment i came in i felt very comfortable with the ambience, very cozy, no loud crazy music like some spots have, the have several areas for you to choose, theres even an area with dimmed lights, loved it all, the staff was very attentive and kind. As for food and drinks i went straight to the cocktails, had a passion fruit margarita, very delicious. I was recommended to try the meat cannelloni and they were show stopping. Had a one thousand leaves cake for dessert it was so good. Like i said. You wanna impress, this is the place to try it.

Went to this Cafe on our trip, had Cappuccino, Ice Cream and dessert. Really enjoyed the Coffee, will revisit for sure. Nice ambience and good service.

We had a very disappointing experience at Cappuccino Restaurant. We ordered two simple breakfasts, yet it took over 40 minutes for the food to arrive—even though there were only a couple of tables occupied. Waiting that long with a baby in our arms was unacceptable. In the end, we had to leave without eating. Definitely not a place we would recommend.
