Due to recommended list provided by our hotel (Grand Palace Hotel in Ancona) we visited this excellent trattoria. Service was professional, friendly, kind and fast, and the food…absolutely delicious. Well prepared, more than enough, we enjoyed every bite. The amount of grappa poured was very generous and the local wine perfectly paired with the main course. We would visit it again!

We were pleasantly surprised by this place. The proprietor was very friendly and informative. He cautioned against ordering too much and was honest about the wine selections. We ordered the fish of the day for two - monkfish. It was unbelievably good, with shrimp, mussels, clams, potatoes and vegetables in a tomato and olive oil sauce. The only dessert we could consume was a couple of sparkling wines… at 3 euros each! The value for the money, the food and the service were top notch.

We wanted to eat fish...since we were near the sea. So we took some recommendations from our friends in the city. The place is clean, looks nice and the feeling was foretelling a nice dinner. My wife has a specific food allergy and we communicated that and were promised there is no onion in sight. But the service lagged, there were only one bar tender and one waiter/cook? It took forever to get our orders. The waiter was probably under influence of something because at some point she brought us the food for another table, it had onions, then the space since the first bottle of water and the second was worrying. But the food was very tasty, sea worthy I should say and we finished having satisfied our taste for the fish. Asking for a grappa I was recommended another brand which was indeed better. The desert however, was trying to be zuppa inglese...with little chance. Their skill in cooking fish is very good, it's a pity the rest was not at the same level.

Lovely hidden alley small restaurant! We were four people wanting a quick lunch among other locals. It turned however into a cozy prolonged lunch with some amazing glasses of Prosecco. Ps we had an off the menu pasta at the waiter’s recommendation.

Had to stop for dinner in Ancona, followed out instincts into this cozy Osteria. The instincts were right. The starter was original, had a good taste and I wanted it to last forever. The pastas as well. I really appreciate when restaurants can offer something traditional and original at the same time. If you’re in Ancona, you should not miss Osteria del Pozzo!

Soooooo good, friendly hosts and cosy atmosphere! We had the big cold platter appetiser and two seafood pasta dishes. We were both quite hungry and we thought the portions were just right. We were there on a Saturday night. Best to call in and book beforehand to avoid disappointment. It was quite busy when we were there. Highly recommend and we hope to visit again, the fish that passed by smelled amazing and would love to try that next time.

Yelp
What a find! Clearly a locals place, but very welcoming to the wandering tourist. Warm decor, fabulous food. Loved our host and staff. We took the time for a traditional, multi-course Italian lunch. The seafood pasta was exquisite, followed by grilled fish, and grilled calamari. Fresh, plentiful, impeccably prepared. Tiramisu was more like a pudding than a cake, but had some of the best flavor we've come across in the Med. Bypass those touristy places on the piazza, and slip around the corner to this place. Oh-so-good.
