The restaurant itself is beautiful, if you are lucky enough to sit on the “cave” side. The atmosphere is nice and it is wonderfully decorated. The service was fine, we were greeted and rushed to order. We ordered one appetizer to share and two main dishes, all unfortunately came at the same time despite asking for two courses, so the main courses were eaten cold. The best part of the meal was the roasted potatoes that came with the lamb chops. The whole meal felt rushed, we were out in under one hour. I finished my glass of wine and no one asked if we wanted any refills. The food was good, nothing to complain about but not at all outstanding, was in general just okay. The experience was “cool” to eat in a cave and that kind of environment but otherwise I wouldn’t recommend.

Very busy and popular place , definitely make a reservation in advance . The service is excellent , restaurant is build into a cave with nice decor and has a very cozy ambiance. Both the pasta we tried were perfect ,I especially Recomended the pasta carbonara with truffle ( it has no guanciale which I find too salty and strong flavored) . Baked eggplant and grilled octopus was also excellent

Food was good. One of our plates had a toothpick. They told us that is the way the meat is rolled - which is fine - but it would be good to advise the costumers because my friend almost choked. Pasta nice. Service was OK, they dont seem to care much if I could say.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and the staff was amazing. But best of all when you go to a restaurant is the food which was so tasteful! I would really recommend it to friends and family.

Actually, a review like this should be about the restaurant, the cuisine, the place and the staff. But the feeling that remains is about something else. Priority still: the food first. Good selection in the menue, very tasty and skilfully prepared and arranged. Now the other thing. We were here because it was warmly recommended by our kids from their first holiday in Italy on their own. The reservation and communication felt like asking for an appointment with the authorities only to be asked again later via WhatsApp if you really want to come. When we arrived, we were confronted by a shop of loud and tipsy ladies who arrogantly besieged the entrance... Attitude, we were there. The restaurant was empty except for three tables and 2 waiters who took care of the dirty tables. One asked what do you want, rude. I have a reservation. Answer: Are you sure? He switches to English. With an impatient look on his face, we are being sampled. After a back and forth, he looks anyway and finds our name. OK yes, but not in this room, but downstairs, go out and take the next entrance on the left. A little snubbed, we leave the restaurant and find ourselves in a cosier, less stylish room, where the staff also seem several degrees friendlier. Here, too, there are only tourists - something we have never encountered on our previous tour of Apulia, which lasted several weeks. Unfortunately, the focus here is also noticeably less on the food and more on showing off: we've been here and now let's see how you can please us. I wouldn't be the most motivated waiter with guests like that neither.

My fiancée and I reserved this restaurant for a special final night in Ostuni. We reserved the cave and loved the unique environment. The waiting staff were very friendly and professional, attentive and advising on wine (we had the sparkling rosé which was delicious). The real highlight for me was the red prawn carpaccio, which I have included a picture of with this review. We thought the bill was reasonable for what we had, and while the food came quickly, we were not hurried to leave at any point, and enjoyed 2 hours there. Thank you for a wonderful meal and experience!

Well worth a visit while in Ostuni! We were a group of 6 and all had a variety of dishes - the big oriechette & beef tartare were delicious. Sitting inside the cave is an experience - tables are well spaced and not cramped. Amazing wine selection as well. The best tiramisu we tried in Italy!

Lovely lunch where food and service were incredible!home made spaghetti with clams and fiori di zucca were superb! Also had the baba' with chantilly cream...unbelievably great!!!

Nice restaurant, casual but elegant yet still relaxed. The food was very good but seeing that it was mostly foreigners as patrons, the prices kinda reflect that. We had the eggplant parmigiana and the ricotta stuffed zucchini flowers to start, both ok. We also tried the sea urchin and vongole pastas. Both were tasty but a bit on the salty side. The staff was great, friendly, attentive and helpful.

A place for American tourists. Extremely mediocre food in different service relatively reasonable prices however pasta, gummy and ill prepared sliced steak and arugula tough cheese, appetizer, undistinguished, hard and tasteless however, very large wine selection.

This restaurant is on the tourist path in Ostuni, which is one of the busier towns in Puglia. So this may have been one of the busiest restaurants we went to in all of Puglia, but it's worth the visit. Make a reservation, and ask to dine in the cave, which is quite cool. We started off many of our meals in Puglia with a charcuterie and cheese platter, and did the same here. The highlight on this platter was the burrata, so delicious and creamy. We shared a bottle of Rose, which we discovered was our favorite of the local wines, and enjoyed handmade pasta and the pork ribs. The porks ribs are a must get, the flavors are amazing and the meat super tender. The best part is the little ice cream bon bond they serve after the meal. You don't order them, but you wish you could because I would have eaten a dozen. This place is full of tourists, but it was a tasty meal and nice representation of Pugliese cuisine.

A beautiful restaurant inside a cave, the food here is fantastic and definitely worth a visit. The big orecchiette w/ burrata, yellow tomatoes, and bacon was just that - but the sauce was fantastic and the bacon's crisp texture added another layer to the flavors and textures of the dish. The Straccetti di Podolica was equally delicious, with the sauce and artichoke providing a delectable experience. Highly recommended and worth a return visit.

Was recommended but we were totally disappointed. Herded people in. Menu limited. Our fior di zucchine were over battered and filled with ricotta but totally bland. There were two lamb dishes that seemed interesting and turned out to be almost identical lamb chops and roasted potatoes. Baba au rhum dessert was pieces of a long ago baba (maybe) piled under a bunch of whipped cream. Touristy. Average cooking skills. Nothing pugliese about it. Avoid!!!

This the best restaurant In Ostuni! We ordered 4 of the pasta off the menu, all were fabulous! Enjoy

Osteria del tempo perso has the rare combination of amazing, seasonal dishes with fantastic value and great service. We ordered an appetizer sampler plate and the food kept coming - it was enough for both of us as our complete meal. Great wines by the glass, and a fine selection of grappas.

Nice and romantic location, great selection of wines. Prices reasonable. We asked one first dish and one meat dish in two, to split, as we weren't quite hungry , and there were no problems ...we had Strascinate alle cime di rapa and involtini di asina ( donkey rolls) - both quite good. The wine by the glass ( Primitivo) was of good quality.
