We came for a true Roman feast, and we were not disappointed. The set menu let us explore traditional dishes, starting with fantastic beans and two incredible pastas (the Cacio e Pepe and Carbonara were spot-on). The star of the show for me was the melt-in-your-mouth beef stew, bursting with flavour. We paired it all with their fantastic homemade sparkling wine. We indulged so much in the first few courses that we barely had room for the delightfully light dessert and sweet wine. A wonderfully authentic and satisfying meal from start to finish.

Don’t go unless you’re really hungry. And if your wife has spent the ENTIRE trip planning it within an inch of its life - then this place is for you - someone else makes all the decisions (and it’s not you…). It’s like Rome’s Leas Fortuna Court - sport jerseys everywhere. No makeup, no frills - just bloody good food. Many options of perfect sizes, which if you’re in a small group you can order widely and share. Stand outs: rabbit, beans, tuna dip, amatriciana, and the rolled beef. We felt like locals in a local area. Do it. You’ll love it.

My wife and I stumbled upon this amazing restaurant our first night in Italy. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Loved that rugby themed memorabilia took up most of the wall decorations. We opted to go through with full line of courses which included selections of pastas, salad, meatballs, beef stew ending with a delightful sweet wine and dessert. Definitely don’t eat prior to going so that you are prepared for the delicious feast! A great way to start our Italy trip!

Favorite restaurant in Rome after multiple visits. Don’t sleep on this one. Just the best carbonara.

Great Roman food at a fix menu price and choices within various courses, good red house wine at friendly price

Real tipical trattoria, out from crowed main tourists places. Real "Carbonara" and real "Cacio e Pepe". Angelo is a legendary "oste".

A menu of 4 courses, all typical italian food and wine. Perfect to close a nice day in Rome and the Vatican. The dishes are very nice: antipasti, primo, secondo and postre! The price is 30€ and that is cheap for this perfect menu!

Yelp
Service was good. Inside was nice and cozy. We had the fixed dinner menu because that was all they had for dinner. I had the vegetarian option. Food was average. Everything was super fresh. Pasta was too al dente for my liking & a bit too salty for me. I never had salt on my salad & didn't like the salad due to it having salt.

Yelp
Love this place. Neighborhood restaurant reminds me of my favorite NYC places -- tough at first then tough love then love. And great food! Get a reservation -- its a popular local spot.

Yelp
Great place for lunch, especially after the Papal Audience or Papal mass. The food was ok. Service sucked, but then again it's Italy and the place is owned by ex-Italian rugby players. What else can you expect? I'm looking forward to coming here during rugby season, which I'm hoping to have a great experience. But overall, I would recommend this as places to go in Rome.
