Sorry to say the food was not good. Pasta was a tiny portion and overly salty. Secondi plates were not good at all, which I’ll let the pictures speak for itself. Service was good however hence an extra star for that.

Modest osteria near the Vatican museum. Inexpensive with a fixed price 3 course menu at 30euros which is a steal. It includes antipasti, Pasta, main course, and cookies with sweet wine for dessert.

We were in Rome to watch the Wales, Italy game and stumbled on this place by accident. For anyone who likes rugby, I can't recommend this place enough. The decor is amazing, a true shrine to the sport and Angelo is a great host with many tales of his past matches playing for Italy. The food is really good and has a home cooked vibe to it. Make sure you are hungry though because for 30€ you will literally waddle out looking for somewhere to lie down....enough food for even the hungriest prop! Great place, great vibe and great food!

Great! Loved it! Don’t turn up at 19:30 like we did though, it’s dead - locals start coming at 20:00.

We are from Sydney Australia and dined here for dinner a few nights ago. It was a set menu which worked out well because it was authentic and we really enjoyed it. It was good price for a lot of food! We left feeling full. Although a set menu we were still able to have a preference on what was on offer. Four options for each course. We had an antipasti, pasta, meat with a side, then biscuits and sweet wine for dessert. It was reasonably priced and the food was very fresh and authentic. It was lovely being surrounded by Italians. Great house wine. Generous serves. Give it a try!

For English see below: Buona osteria con cucina romana buona e autentica. Good Osteria/restaurant with tasty authentic Roman cuisine. Keep in mind that the menu shows the prices only for the type of dish, and the waiter will provide you with the options for the primi and the secondi.

One of the best experiences we've had on our trip. Super authentic spot. No tourist traps here. You can tell its a local favourite! Just Angelo, an old school Italian man serving up some great food and at a great price. Plenty of options to choose from for Primi and Secondi! Portions aren't huge but you get 4 courses for 30 euros and definitely leave feeling full and satisfied. Would definitely recommend, especially if you're looking for a spot away from all the hustle and bustle.

Very very traditional roman cucine with a fast service and simple & good courses. Good tradeoff between quality and price.. fixed menu of 30 euros

Yelp
Service was good. Inside was nice and cozy. We had the fixed dinner menu because that was all they had for dinner. I had the vegetarian option. Food was average. Everything was super fresh. Pasta was too al dente for my liking & a bit too salty for me. I never had salt on my salad & didn't like the salad due to it having salt.

Yelp
Love this place. Neighborhood restaurant reminds me of my favorite NYC places -- tough at first then tough love then love. And great food! Get a reservation -- its a popular local spot.

Yelp
Great place for lunch, especially after the Papal Audience or Papal mass. The food was ok. Service sucked, but then again it's Italy and the place is owned by ex-Italian rugby players. What else can you expect? I'm looking forward to coming here during rugby season, which I'm hoping to have a great experience. But overall, I would recommend this as places to go in Rome.
