Google
Best place in Rome. Had a wonderful meal and the staff made us feel right at home. They came round with the specials board and helped to translate it into English which was really appreciated. The food was fantastic and fresh. They had a great drink selection and prices were very responsible. It has a great location with a light show at night projected on the nearby building.

Cozy bar near Hystory. Very nice view, surrounded by ancient buildings, friendly staff that can suggest best combination for food and wine. Cocktails have an interesting taste that goes well with Roman's vibe.

Had drinks and snacks while seeking refuge from the rain. The hosts were super accommodating and the atmosphere was very cosy while it was pouring down outside. Decent selection of drinks, wines and even some craft beers. Food looked delicious as well. Would definitely recommend!

Google
We’ve been in Italy 10 days and this is the best food and service we’ve had. Everything we had was amazing and the waiters were helpful, kind, and informative.

We dropped in for a late dinner and were greeted with enthusiasm. The fried artichoke appetizer was delicious and a wonderful reason for dining here. I had the duck pasta…molto bueno! The pesto pasta was delicious as well. We recommend Osteria dell’Ingegno wholeheartedly!

Google
During my week in Rome, this was by far my most pleasant lunch experience in the city. The staff was really friendly, the food was great and the location charming. I rarely write reviews, but for this place I made a well-deserved exeption.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Osteria Dell'Ingeno, and it was a delightful experience. The restaurant exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a rustic charm that immediately makes you feel at home. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our meal was enjoyable. Their recommendations were spot-on, and they made us feel like valued guests. The food was simply outstanding. From the appetizers to the desserts, every dish was a culinary delight. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The prices for the food were reasonable, providing excellent value for the quality and portion sizes. Overall, Osteria Dell'Ingeno offers a fantastic dining experience with delicious food, warm hospitality, and a charming ambiance. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Google
I wish I could put more than five stars for this amazing restaurant. The service was exemplary, the food superb, the atmosphere outstanding and the staff were friendly, welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. We had Aperitifs and cocktails on the first night followed by dinner on the second. All I can say is when in Rome please, please please visit this amazing restaurant! Thank you so much for making our visit to Rome a brilliant experience.

Yelp
Wow what a great find! One of the best we have found in Italy. Everything was perfect. And the tomato topping for the crispy bread was the best ever!

Yelp
12/10! Fantastico! Excellent specials (artichoke app, fish with broccoli rabe) and reliable standards (carbonara, pepper and pecorino). Beautiful wines. Very nice, low key owner/ staff who took the time to explain the specials in English. Highly recommend. Located between Pantheon and Trevi.

Yelp
Nice location. Great views while you dine. I was surprise to actually like my dinner. Came here by mistake and last minute dinner...

Yelp
This place is great no tourists. Food is fabulous, view is very nice and calming. Great place.

Yelp
This was one of the most amazing dinners we had in Rome. Everything we had - from the apps to the pasta - were absolutely stellar and the service was sublime. Strongly recommended. It's located right across the street from Hadrian's Temple in a very busy but smaller piazza.

Yelp
Been twice when in Rome. Recommended by a friend who lived in Rome for years. The food is absolutely incredible! 13 years later, the same staff was still there, and it rocked our world. Get whatever's on special, you won't be disappointed. And it's wonderful to sit outside overlooking the beautiful temple ruins. This was our favorite restaurant in Rome, which is saying a lot.

Yelp
We had two pasta as first entry with wines and two beef entree. Both pastas were so salty that we couldn't eat them. Staff was very nice that take them out from the check. The steak was good along with the desert. Most important part was the environment and it has seats next to piazza pierta which live musician performs.

Yelp
Definitely more of a local spot than a touristy one, which made it taste more delicious and authentic. Although I love Italian dishes, it was a refreshing change of pace to not eat something with a cream and cheese explosion. The food here tasted healthy and clean (if that makes any sense) while not giving up any of the classic Italian taste. The dishes may look plain at first but they pack a delicate flavor that won't make you feel guilty. Despite being a hidden gem, the waiters were still tourist friendly and voluntarily translated the specials for us.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place after leaving the pantheon. The prices are very reasonable. Although the staff weren't that welcoming we decided to eat there anyway because we were starving. We ordered the calamari for appetizer (can't go wrong with calamari), the carbonara and lasagna. Everything was delicious! The lasagna was not as meaty as in the states but I loved every bite of it. I also tried the carbonara and it was also really tasty. Paired it with a bottle of house wins, only £18.

Yelp
Love this place! The kiss lip pillows lined across the front of the restaurant called out to my family and I and offered the perfect resting spot to stop for a drink. Although the prices are a bit high, the location gives an amazing view of Hadrian's Temple and right in the sun. Our drinks were prepared and served elegantly and were brought out with homemade biscuits that were delicious. Although I only went inside to pay and used the washroom, the peak that I got of the restaurant looked equally as impressive, and had we of had more time we would have definitely stayed for a meal.

Yelp
This is probably my favorite restaurant on this side of town. I have eaten both lunch and dinner and it has always been consistently great. The resultant changes it menu on a daily basis and always uses the freshest ingredients. Among my favorite dishes are the burratina and the couscous seafood dish. Their gazpacho is amazing and worth trying on a hot summer day.

Yelp
One if the best dining experiences ever. Marco is an amazing waiter who asked if we preferred a "dining experience". The rest became history with an amazing experience a five courses that became just better as we progressed. Then Marco turned on the "Marcopedia" and took us out on the square in front of the restaurant and gave us the full on history behind the temple that we had been viewing from our table. This is with no question one of the best restaurants in Rome.

Yelp
Situated close to Piazza Navona and The Pantheon, Osteria dell'ingegno is a charming restaurant/cafe/bar on a square overlooking the Temple of Hadrian. The menu is simple but fairly innovative and as is common in Italy the menu is adjusted with the season. We found it warmly welcoming and inviting. On arrival we were generously plied with 'Suppli' (Roman Tapas) which included stuffed olives, salami, fried mozzarella, pistachio nuts and garlic crostini - all free of charge. The menu displayed a virtuosity in traditional Roman flavours, the use of aromatic herbs and spices to create dishes full of flavour. Though we didn't eat there (we just had pre-supper drinks) we noted the spinach filled ravioli in cheese sauce, the codfish fritters with yellow polenta and chilli, the veal saltimbocca with sage, wine and juniper and the roast duck with a sweet-and-sour sauce flavored with bay, wine and raisins. Service was prompt and delightful and we paid in the region of 17 Euros (or about £14) for a bottle of water and 2 large glasses of good Montepulciano. We noted that a good evening meal with drinks would probably costs over 100 Euros (about £85) for 2 people. That said, the overall impression we got was of great quality and attention to detail.

Yelp
Little hidden gem behind the G galleria, very fresh pasta and fish. Traditional Italian style with foil bake and potatoes, steak from northern Italy and it semi cook at your table side. Didn't give them a 5 because of the time it took for our food to arrived. They could have served us the appetizer first and bread didn't come until the end.

Luca B.

Yelp
Awful Aperitivo, 20€ wasted on a mediocre spritz, rude service and a small plate of "food" that looked like scrapped from other tab

Ernest S.

Yelp
Extremely delicious food and not touristy at all. The beef and the calamar was delicious. Also excellent selection of wine to pair.

Stacey M.

Yelp
This place was wonderful. It was not a touristy restaurant which was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. Our waiter Marco was extremely polite and helpful. We had an exceptional dinner here from start to finish :)

Tyler D.

Yelp
This hidden gem is amazing. Great food and service. If undecided on what to get, the staff's choices are spot on. With the treat.

Michael B.

Yelp
Service and food were excellent. The Bruschetta and Mozzarella were incredible. They also accommodated my sons food allergies well.

Vanco B.

Yelp
The roasted pork (wrapped in bacon!) was amazing For dessert, we had the peach tarte tattin, and the tiramisu. Both amazing

Yelp
We were not far from this restaurant, and our concierge recommended it, so we gave it a try for our last dinner in Rome. Most of the patrons were local; always a good sign! The restaurant was crowded; another great sign! When we arrived, we were greeted and asked a preference on seating, and we chose a delightful table outside. It was a beautiful night, and about to get even better. Since English was not really spoken, I was weak Italian/Spanish skills and the beautiful, gracious waitress made it work. We started with a delightful cheese board appetizer that we shared and it was fantastic with a glass of Merlot for my hubby and Pinot Grigio for me. EXCELLENT! As for entrees, hubby had a delightful rigatoni alle carbonara which was delicious and I had the special of the day which was pasta with some locally caught fish. I expected 'fish' but it was a lovely crab and lobster mix in a very tasty sauce that complemented the dish, unlike some that overwhelm with sauce. It was PERFECT. Following our meal, hubby had Tira Misu which he said was beyond great. I had the Creme Bruelle alla pistachio. It was HEAVENLY!!! We usually just order entrees and enjoy, but we had to go 'the whole 9 yards' at Osteria because everything was just wonderful. The service was SUPERIOR, the food was EXCELLENT; Perfect way to finish our last evening in Roma. Don't go to Rome without going to this restaurant!

Yelp
Really good food (had lunch) in a quiet, cozy place across from Hadrian's Temple. The grilled vegetables with Buffalo Ricotta was awesome--great views, too!

David H.

Yelp
Very good service and food. Less traditional option with some interesting dishes. Steaks were good as were vegetable sides. One in our party liked the veal meat sauce pasta a lot.

Yelp
First visit and we like it very much. Very good service and also good meals! We spend a lot of time to find a not tourist trap, we want to enjoy a good meal in Roma as it is in Bella Italia and we found it here.

John C.

Yelp
Wonderful lunch here on their 25th anniversary. I had the chicken casserole. It was braised and the thigh meat fell off the bone. Husband had the carbonara, which was delicious. Would highly recommend for a nice casual lunch.

Jo H.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our meal here. The menu was decidedly creative and unexpected. Not touristy at all. Th clientele was mostly Italian and it felt more like a higher end dining spot for local romans than a restaurant catering to the tourist. There were lots of fresh vegetables included in the dishes and overall it felt much lighter and healthier than some of the other meals we've had in Rome. Service was excellent, and they had a comprehensive wine list and bar menu. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for something beyond the standard fare at most of the restaurants on the piazzas.

Sasha B.

Yelp
The place to be in Rome! Food was delicious. By far, the best of the whole trip. (Fresh calamari salad, curry chicken with mango, bbq pork kabobs) Atmosphere: cozy, colorful, great design. I wish I could take them home with me.

Roz S.

Yelp
We had a wonderful dinner here with high quality food. Duck, orange and bacon special entree was extremely flavorful! Great wine list and service. Freshly made hummus and artichoke app was very good. Nice change from traditional Italian meals.

Yelp
Amazing! I highly recommend this place for the food and ambiance!!!!! I started with the mixed green salad followed by the candle pasta and tiramisu. It's by far the best meal I've had yet in Rome! Thanks yelp for the recommendation!!!

Tomer C.

Yelp
nice, conveniently located place to get your basic Italian food well prepared. Interesting selection of daily dishes and awesome pasta pici with tomatoes

Christine S.

Yelp
First visit was just dropped drinks - fun cocktail menu. Next day lunch -- just a bit off the path from the Pantheon but a lovely quiet location. Exceptional service and great ambience (great music in the background). Really amazing food - some of the best we had in Rome. The bean soup had amazing favors, salmon was exceptional, all the flavors were subtle and perfect. New favorite in the heart of Rome.

Maurits H.

Yelp
Unable to describe the taste of their tortellini... The ideal comibination of slightly salty cheese and the discrete sweetness of the tomatoe.. Incredible!

Peter V.

Yelp
Happening scene; delicious cuisine. Service was fine, ambience interesting & lively, food terrific. Vast and, from what I could tell, excellent selection of wines by bottle & by glass. Location can't be beat, directly across the Piazza di Pietro from the huge ancient columns of Hadrian's Temple The food was fresh and perfectly prepared (try the gnudi). This is not your local strip mall Italian restaurant.

Mark R.

Yelp
Snug little spot with great food, staff, and decor. A must do!
