Osteria Dello Zingaro

We made a reservation an hour before the opening and they immediately confirmed. The atmosphere is great and we could tell that mostly locals come here. Portions are huge, food is very specific, but delicious. We even tried horse meat. We totally recommend this place. Having in mind the quality of the food, the prices are very cheap - starters, 2 main dishes and 1/2l of wine was around 40 euros.

All the food was very delicious and the meat was cooked perfectly. The waiter was very kind and recommended nice food and wines. We had to wait 20 minutes till we were able to get a table, but it was worth the wait. In the meantime we drank something in a pub further down the street.

Terrific meal in this fab little Osteria. House fizzante was delicious and very reasonable. Mixed cheese plate was divine and had something to please all four of us. Roast beef - well, let’s just say we discussed returning again to have it. Pork medallions ok. Pumpkin ravioli excellent. It was packed so service was slow but that left more time for wine! A delicious and very affordable meal!

The food was amazing, the hams and cheese board was delightful, the horse meat tartare was divine and beautiful presentation of food. Very good wine. Nice view and cool breeze from the street. Good prices. They had pies that looked amazing but we were too full to try.

So good! Stopped in as it’s near where we’re staying and we were really impressed. We’ve been in Italy for 9 days and this was the best meal we’ve had so far. Our hosts recommend we try Parma’s tortelli di zucca and horse meat while we’re in town. The tortelli was excellent here. We also had the guancialini, insalata mista, and antipasto. Was so good, we made reservations for tomorrow and may feel adventurous enough for cavallo. The locals all ordered it and appeared to love it.

We went in the afternoon right about when they opened, thinking we wouldn't need a reservation. They told us they were booked up but had a table open for an hour, so if we could be in and out in that time, we could dine. Glad they were able to seat us. Within 15 minutes the whole restaurant was packed. Had the raw cavallo and the portion was pretty big. Definitely enough to share. Also had the pumpkin ravioli with parmesan and olive oil and the charcuterie. Everything was delicious and the service was friendly. Very grateful for the experience.

Nice, friendly,cosy restaurant in the heart of Parma. Both the ‘menu del giorna’ and menu were delicious accompanied by a good suggestion for a wine. Nicely finished with a homemade dessert and coffee. Very helpful French speaking waitress 👍🏽

Busy and lively place. Pretty young staff, great service. Did enjoy the roast horse and annoli Insalata zingaro was good but did feel row horse quite memorable
