Great spot for a little lunch. We wandered by this little bistro while strolling downtown. The menu had lots of traditional dishes. We had the risotto and a big salad. Both were prepared wonderfully. The waitress was very nice and kind. And best of all the house wine was delicious and a tremendous value. Highly recommend.

Wonderful little restaurant in the heart of Parma. This is a lively place with good service, fantastic food, and a fun atmosphere! We started off our dinner with some prosciutto e melone, and an assortment of local cheeses, and some Culatello di Zibella. We then had some fresh tagliatelle with prosciutto and a Parmigiano Reggiano sauce, pumpkin and Parmigiano Reggiano ravioli, grilled vegetables, and some wonderful, thinly sliced roast beef. We finished our meal with tiramisu and a local specialty, which was a really tasty crunchy cake with nuts and ice cream. Fantastic dining experience!

The reviews are that good for a reason. Really great food & a nice wine list to pair with it. Super friendly service & the food is delicious - that goes without saying. Perfect place for a date!

Authentic flavors in the heart of Parma! We had a fantastic dinner at Osteria dello Zingaro, located right in the center of Parma. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service was excellent — our waiter kindly explained everything in English, which we really appreciated. We tried the local prosciutto and Parmigiano Reggiano, which were both top quality, but the highlight for me was the pumpkin ravioli — absolutely delicious and full of flavor! We also enjoyed some lovely desserts to finish off the meal. A wonderful experience overall — highly recommended if you want to taste authentic local cuisine in Parma!

The service was very kind and let us order our food over the phone as we were arriving late. The food was also fantastic especially the horse Tartare.

We made a reservation an hour before the opening and they immediately confirmed. The atmosphere is great and we could tell that mostly locals come here. Portions are huge, food is very specific, but delicious. We even tried horse meat. We totally recommend this place. Having in mind the quality of the food, the prices are very cheap - starters, 2 main dishes and 1/2l of wine was around 40 euros.

We really enjoyed our lunch here! The space is cozy and beautiful inside, the service was friendly and efficient. We really liked all the food we ordered and the wine was also very nice. Freshly-made desserts also looked amazing - we will need to try them next time!

We had an excellent lunch here today. It feels local and was mostly Italians; we were asking the few foreigners. The food servings were copious and the flavors rich. The pumpkin ravioli was cooked perfectly with excellent pasta and a delicious sauce with parmesan. The pig cheeks were excellent and the polenta with it was from another planet. It was a reminder that there is no better polenta than what is served in Italy. We had a salad as a starter with parmesan and pears, perfectly dressed (not soupy like in some places) and the house picked vegetables which were very lightly pickled, the finochio in it was amazing. We were so full we skipped dessert and recommend it to anyone visiting Parma. Almost forgot to mention, great wine by the glad. We asked the waiter to select it and it worked well with the food.

Yelp
This past month, we were traveling in Italy. We looked for restaurants for a meal in the evening in Parma. We were lucky to get a reservation. We were greeted by friendly staff and escorted to our table. Both Italian and English menus were available. The restaurant is small and nicely decorated. Bread and breadsticks were given. We ordered a bottle of wine and checked out the menu. Our server was nice and helped us with choosing food items. The first course was Antipasto dello Zingaro. ( Cold meats ) Our second course was Tortelli di Erbette. (Ravioli stuff with spinach and Parmesan cheese) which was the best Ravioli we have ever had. Next was new meat for us to try. HORSE MEAT. Tris di Cavallo. Presented 3 ways. RAW. Roasted and Tartare. We liked the first two. But the Tartare was not for us. This dish came with roast potatoes. The restaurant got busy during our visit. I would recommend making a reservation. The decor was fresh and clean. With many Italian fixtures. The noise level was low when we visited, but sure, it could be higher on the weekends. We highly recommend a visit or two.

Yelp
We were referred here by a Parma local who was born and raised here. There were four of us. You need a reservation since it is very popular. We all loved our food! Light fresh made pasta w seasonal ingredients. I had roast beef and grilled vegetables. My friend let me taste the spinach and parmesan cheese ravioli - so great! We all loved our food!! Service and friendliness was top notch and they helped us w ordering. They have an English menu online. Italian menu in the restaurant. Clean, hospitable, welcoming and amazing food. Also prices are very reasonable

Yelp
One of the best restaurants I've been to in Italy-hands down! This place can't be missed if you're in Parma. For starters I had the tagliatelle pasta with Parma ham. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the Parma ham generously topping the pasta was the perfect salty accompaniment to the creamy pasta sauce. Next up was the Tortelli pasta (a local Parma specialty) stuffed with pumpkin and Parmesan cheese. The Parmesan perfectly balanced the sweet pumpkin for a sweet and savory dish all in one. For the main entree we had pork cheeks braised in balsamic vinegar. It was literally one of the best things I have ever tasted in my life! Fall off the fork tender and the balsamic enhanced the flavor of the pork in a way you never find in the states. If you still have room for dessert make sure you try some of their home Made pies! You'll find them on display on a shelf near the kitchen in the back. The food was great, service great, and the fellow diners friendly. Add it to your list!

Yelp
If you're in Parma, go here . It came recommended by a local and she did not steer us wrong . The place was packed with Italians, which is always a good sign. We did not have a reservation and although they hinted that a reservation would have been appreciated , they graciously accommodated us. Everything I put into my mouth had my tastebuds screaming "WOW!" The experience was a culinary journey of the palate as each dish was bursting with the perfect balance of flavors. We started with tagliatelle with Parma ham & pumpkin stuffed tortelli pasta . Omg the pumpkin tortelli was ahhhmaazzzinggg!! I tried this dish at other places and hands down theirs is the best I've ever tried. The tagliatelle was also delicious . The star of the show was the entree of pork cheeks braised in local balsamic vinegar . Y'all it was "slap your hand away if you try to take a bite of my pork cheeks" good. Interestingly, the simple presentation of the pork cheeks didn't look that appetizing , just pieces of meat on a plate with balsamic and a spoon- but oh how looks can be deceiving - it was the bomb and I literally spent the rest of the trip ordering pork and veal check to replicate the experience but alas none could hold a candle to theirs. Order it, you won't be disappointed. I normally don't order dessert but everything had been so delicious I couldn't help but select a slice from their homemade selection of desserts . They are on display on top of a buffet in the back of the restaurant so you can pick out what looks best to you . I don't even know what the name of the dessert was but it was delicious , it had nuts and berries baked in and topped with ice cream ...it was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Kinda funny , I had a very happy and euphoric look on my face while eating their amazing food and an Italian seated next to us caught my attention as he was looking at me thoroughly enjoying my food and he looked very pleased - he genuinely looked happy that I was visibly savoring every bite. A little embarrassed, I started giggling and the man told me he was glad I was enjoying the food! They know , y'all. The locals know how good the food is here . Most impressive was the fact that this dinner was probably the cheapest one we had during our entire trip and it was by far the best ! My biggest regrets are 1.) we did not go back the next night 2.) we didn't order more food. If you are in Parma , put it on your list ! Prego!

Yelp
By accident we found this Restaurant during our Italy-trip. We were "flashed" by the quality of the food we got. This venue ist highly recomended because of excellent food from starter to "dolci"! On the way back home we decided to make another "stop" in Parma just to have another lunch in this restaurant. Whenever you are in Parma you should not miss it.
