Osteria Il Gallo e L'innamorata

We had a lunch here during our day trip to Marsala. Food was delicious (we especially enjoyed the gnocchi), staff was very friendly and the place had a nice feel and atmosphere. We definitely recommend

Delightful dinner. Was a truly authentic feel. Waiters spoke limited english yet their extensive knowledge of their food was clear. Immediately presented us with their catch of the day and made every effort to ensure we were pleased and taken care of. The food was fantastic and certainly defeated us but we enjoyed every bit of it. Highly recommend all the pasta dishes and the swordfish starter!

Slow Food recommended this Osteria. It was a special experience. We arrived without reservations on bicycles. Immediately, Marco and Dario welcomed us and gave us safe space for our bicycles. We had bruschetta with shaved smoked swordfish. We had busciate — local shape of pasta — with red shrimp and trapanese pesto. And another busciate with sicilian pesto. Both were outstanding, unctuous, something to write home about. We finished with a perfect dessert marsala wine and expresso. The staff is patient and kind. All smiles and helpfulness. Great experience in Marsala.

We had Caponata and Verdure lessate as pre and Busiate with Granchio and Gnocchi with Salsiccia as first course. As Sicilian I can tell you these guys know what they are doing. Just amazing. Worth a visit!

Really nice local restaurant. Their swordfish appetizer is the best thing we’ve eaten in Sicily so far. Also, the pasta with Sicilian pesto was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place (for weekends, it’s good to call and book it to be sure)

Real rustic food. Huge selection of various pastas. Big wine list. Second courses are worse than antipasti and pasti.
