We thoroughly enjoyed dining here! The atmosphere was authentic and warm. The food was tasty and good value. Olivia had exceptional table service. She was very friendly and spoke English well. Olivia recommended some great dishes to try which had a “Siena spin”. The restaurant was very accommodating with food allergies and labelled them on the menu.

Very classic restaurant - very nice environment - very friendly stuff and lovely traditional food. The meat was delicious- pasta I would prefer to be a little more boiled. Very hard to chew. Lovely flavours though. Lovely place and the stuff was very helpful when we asked “ tourist questions”

Walked in for lunch, osteria has deli and sit down service. Appears to be a local hang out, was a bit too boisterous and loud for me that day. Had a good pasta special and house wine. In and outside seating, sports on TV.

It was the best steak I've ever eaten, even better than they serve in Lisbon, Portugal. Very, very kind waitress, doing all she could to give us best time and food. Pasta also was very tasty, good wine. We'll be back and really recommend the restaurant to all of you!

I was in Siena for three nights, and each night I came back for the delicious food and amazing service at il Vinaio. Bobbie was a wonderful host and took time to get to know me. Even though the Palio was on and they were extremely busy, the food came out very quick and they all made me feel like part of the L’Istrice contrada. I cannot Speak enough in how good the food is at il Vinaio. Simple, but filling and decadent Tuscan cuisine. Every night was amazing and another reason to return to Siena.

We went as a group, paid 25 euros each, ate a lot, had alcoholic drinks and water. The white wine was not great, but ok. We had a lot of different foods, one thing was really really good, the rest average. I only took pictures of the first and the last plate. Good price for what you get.

Loved this restaurant. Local gem. If you are respectful, you will be treated well. Came in without a reservation; locals seem to make reservations. They found me a table at the counter, and staff were very kind. Had pasta with boar ragu and appetizer of vegetable cakes.

We ordered an appetiser, a pork dish and pasta. Love them all. The appetiser is a warm appetiser which contains difference pieces of pastry like thing.
