Osteria La Sosta

What a great place to eat! The Osteria was recommended by our host. We tried some of the very traditional dishes, like escargots with herbs, boiled tongue and calf's head with salsa verde, Marubini in brodo (local pasta in soup) and spaghetti with scorpion fish sauce and croaker fish tartare. Main courses were braised pork cheek and crispy goose leg. Everything was excellent and very well presented. The wine selection is also very good. The owner has an incredible wine cellar below the restaurant (we were invited to visit). We found some very rare bottles down there! Generally the staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonable for the quality offered. For us one of the best places to eat in Cremona. Highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner whilst holidaying in Cremona and fancying somewhere different, and this place was amazing! I chose the onion soup in bread crust (with a pie crust on top), and my boyfriend chose the cottage cheese ravioli. Both were absolutely delicious and filling! That along with the complimentary bread, lovely atmosphere and beautiful decor meant I would definitely return! It was slightly more expensive than some of the other places to eat around Cremona but it was worth it for the quality and atmosphere!

A nice restaurant in the heart of Cremona. The food was very fine, with some Michelin standards dishes too. The service and hospitality can be improved. At the end, you can buy some great restaurant sauces as well.

Delicious Italian food. Great pasta and a tasty goose. Outstanding Risotto. 🥰 Nice wine selection as well.

A wonderful place to eat real Italian food in a real Italian town. We had the tortellini soup, mostardo with cheeses, pasta and veal shanks. Well priced. Wine to share. Overall a great experience. We suggest reservations.

simply amazing place, homemade cremona style gnocchi was so tasty, homemade special mustarded jam with different cheese also very impressive, food quality really good, atmosphere elegant and relax

Delicious food, kind service, big wine selection, family restaurant. We initially wanted to sit outside in spite of the warning we might be eaten ourselves by mosquitoes before we can take a bite. As we persisted, we were offered mosquito repellent - thoughtful! - before we decided to take them up on their offer and move inside. All in all, the food (cold cuts platter, goose leg, lemon tart, local wines) was great, the place wasn't crammed, we were treated with attention and kindness, would come back any time.

Amazing experience, excellent service, and the food, especially primi piatti are superb. Highly recommended!!!
