Truly enjoyable meal. First, despite the appearance from outside, there is a cute interior garden. Then, the food... Had a lovely octopus salad, followed by homemade pasta with rabbit sauce, and then grilled trout. All were great, but the trout stood out. Cooked perfectly, moist and yet had a nice grilled flavor. Was a fairly large portion as well! For dessert, the cherry tiramisu was a nice variation of an old classic. I'd go back in a heartbeat...

Location: 10 minutes to walk from center of Como. Service: Many old staffs work there with kindness and professional service. Decoration: old but very clean. There is a garden that you can seat. Food: T-bone steak was a bit hard to chew but the taste was good. Risotto was fantastic taste. Risotto strongly recommendable. Recommend? Yes. But T bone steak is not so wow tasty like in Florence to eat. But they grill well with wood.

Great Italian Resturant. Outstanding food quality and service are great. The Resturant itself is a bit dull. Staff speak English and have English menus. We tried the octopus, crab pasta and veal stake. They were all great. The restaurant is extremely easy to find as its on one of the main streets in Como. There are parking spaces just in front of the Resturant. Enjoy! Follow to get the next review.

We visited Osteria on Valentine's day. The restaurant its cosy, romantic italian restaurant. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We had a few dishes but the stars were the lukewarm octopus and seafood au gratin, absolutely delicious. The wine was great as well. Definitely a restaurant to be visited if you are in the area.

Really good place to have a risotto. Good options of seafood. The entrance looks uninviting but once you get in, it's a lovely atmosphere and there is a nice private garden for nice summer evenings. A bit on the pricey side but justifiable. Service is good but felt slightly intrusive. Definitely worth visiting for the food though!

I might not be an expert in risotto but usually it is cooked with white wine and chicken stock, couldn't taste any of these this time, plus the rice they used looked like a regular rice and not a carnaroli, but once again, not an expert. Given the great reviews I could read about the place I was expecting much more from that place . Also beside the owner whom was friendly the service was pretty cold.

Yelp
Amazing dining experience with exceptional service and delicious dishes from appetizers to deserts! Lake Perch on their classic risotto was my favorite dish on the menu. A must try! Will be back!

Yelp
The positive reviews of this place are accurate. No curb-appeal but the back patio is beautiful and quiet. The staff are amazingly accommodating and speak English very well. The lobster bisque is good, as previously reviewed. We order a delicious salad off the menu, which was also excellent with watercress, lettuce, carrots, cabbage, and tomatoes. The lobster ravioli was fine, not great. Same for the linguine with sea urchin. The pan seared branzino was fresh and good, nothing spectacular. Prices were very fair. The food is probably 3.5 star but the service was 5 so I'm giving them a 4 for the effort!

Yelp
Great atmosphere - tucked away from all the tourist restaurants. Good food at a very reasonable price! The staff was very kind and welcoming! We believe the owner was working and took our order - extremely nice man. This will be on our list of things to do again when we come back to Como!

Yelp
Loved this little gem! Service was phenomenal, everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Food was great. We had the shrimp cocktail (plentiful), lukewarm octopus starter (delicious), blank angus beef with sweet paprika sauce (cooked to perfection/ sauce to amazing) and Seabass (comes filleted with the head and tail-delish). Definitely a must to visit while in Como!

Yelp
Extraordinary food! Superb! Great rissoto, great filet, great service and nice setting away from the tourist restaurants, worth the stroll!

Yelp
We were very impressed. Great food, wonderful courtyard and the folks couldn't have been nicer. A bit out of the way and doesn't look like much from the outside. You would walk right by it but don't.

Yelp
This restaurant is well off the beaten path. I found it in a guide book and from the outside it clearly isn't trying to attract any tourists. The entrance is empty and I probably would have just walked back out BUT when you get through the empty tables in front you enter another room and a stunning garden filled with locals. The food was the best food I have eaten anywhere in the world and a fraction of the coat of the tourist traps. The lobster ravioli melts in your mouth and the veal was perfectly prepared. I consider myself a foodie but have never tasted flavors like this food. The service and ambiance was also perfect. If I ever return to como this place is at the top of my list!
