We came early before usual dinner time but the staff served us great! I got the hearty meat stew and it was the perfect thing to get, honestly so good 10/10

A nice atmosphere, great food variety and yummy dishes. 5 of us went there and everyone loved it! Soup of the day was absolutely winner (based on lentil and other veggies). Kind staff and great service, lovely pictures on the walls. I'm glad that we spent couple of hours there enjoying the food and chatting with great friends. Recommended for everyone!

Food was excellent the price was very acceptable was local family restaurant recommended by out hotel owner turned out exactly as I had asked him for.

Absolutely fantastic food – truly outstanding. Warm, personal, and delightful service. The meat dishes were full of flavor, and the salt cod was honestly one of the best I’ve ever tasted. For dessert, we had Cassata al forno and Scafazzato – both delicious. I simply love Sicilian cuisine. Osteria Lo Bianco gets top marks from me! 😊

Nice and quiet when I visited in Jan. Friendly and patient man at the front and beautiful food! Great prices! I'm a backpacker and this was hearty, delicious, and well within my budget. Definitely recommend to all.

The pasta was undercooked, it was FULL of oil, and impossible to consume. The waiter was nice tho. I also tried my friends’ steak and fish, and it didn’t have any flavour. Very mid place

A must-try if you’re in Palermo! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful in suggesting dishes to try if you’re unfamiliar with the cuisines. I didn’t have a reservation but they made room for me even though they were super busy (book in advance on weekends!) The food tastes very homemade with a lot of love and for the prices you can’t go wrong (especially as it’s right near all the touristic places and sights but half the prices!) My only regret is not having more days to visit here every night and try all the different dishes.

Our party of four came when they opened at 7:30 PM and we were able to be seated immediately. Note that they also have another location a block away that has the same menu and pizza. Our server, Filippo, was very helpful when it came to wine selections and menu items. We ordered the various eggplant appetizers, French fries, multiple pasta dishes for entrees, and meatballs for the second course. A few of the menu items were unfortunately unavailable, but everything we had was quite tasty. We enjoyed all of the eggplant appetizers and they were quite flavorful. Everyone enjoyed the large portions of pasta as our first course and I especially enjoyed my Norma spaghetti. I had the meatballs afterwards and they were also hearty and the tomato sauce was quite good. Overall we definitely recommend this place for the food and friendly staff!

Sometimes you can't go home again. I had a very disappointing experience at Osteria Lo Bianco, once one of my favorite restaurants in Palermo. My food was excellent and their prices are great, but the service was absolutely atrocious. We waited forever just to get water. And then even longer for them to take our order. We were stuck in a corner table under and arch. A table opened up by the window, and we asked to be moved, and they refused. The table remained empty the entire time we were there. I know we weren't treated badly because we are foreigners; there were two tables of Italians next to us that complained vehemently about the lack of service. The place is always packed so they just don't care. I had the caponata followed by fried sardines (a portion of only 4) and a salad. My friend ordered roast chicken, but instead got a pan-sautéed chicken thigh! Needless to say, she was extremely disappointed. This is now permanently off my list.

We ended up grabbing dinner here on Easter Monday which happens to be a holiday and most places are closed. The ambiance is very casual and although they take reservations we didn't need one (we were there ~19:30 on a holiday though). The food was simple but good. We started off with a seafood salad which was a small portion but good enough to start. For our main dishes we got the lasagna special which was a heavy dish and tasted fine but I thought it was served a bit cold. We also tried pasta alla Norma which was tasty but it had very little eggplant.

I cannot understand how this place got such good reviews. It was the worst meal we've had in a while. While service was good, the place smelled like a toilet had backed up. (Should have left but it was late and reco'd by our hotel!) Food came out way too fast to be cooed to order. The pasta looked like it had been sitting around and reheated. I ordered it with grilled calamari, which I assume were the tiny, slimy strips of... fish? My husband ordered broccoli with raisins and pine nuts. I assume the slimy light green mush (mixed with a paltry amount of raisins and nuts) was broccoli but can't be sure what the hell it was. The wine was crappy. Only house wine in a carafe. Service was good but if the food stinks, price and service don't matter.

Really really enjoyed eating at Osteria Lo Bianco. The service was amazing. Our waiter was super friendly, went through the menu with us as we were asking about local dishes and recommended few stuff to try. On top of that they were really fast too: the restaurant was packed but we got served in a matter of minutes. The starters were amazing - I got the squid salad and sardines meatballs (one of Palermo traditional dishes) and they were both so so good - and the main was really good too. Prices were great as well, the bill came to 18€ each, which was pretty great considering we ate a lot and the quality of the food was really good. Great little place, with really good food and amazing staff. Would definitely recommend it.

Lo Bianco offered a fantastic service with amazing high quality authentic affordable food. The wait staff were very helpful when deciding menu options, and were very open and inviting. The food was worth much more than the price.

This is cheap and cheerful, Italian style. The menu is broken down by the usual suspects: antipasti, primi, secondi etc and each course has a fixed price (€4, €6 etc.). The eggplant Parmesan was simple and tasty. The pasta dishes were also very good. I got the spaghetti with oil, chili flakes, garlic and cheese which was very simple but very tasty. This is a great veggie spot. Waitstaff were friendly and efficient. Note to the ladies: the toilet has a toilet seat!!

We ate here 2 days ago on a recommendation from our guide. It was great! Service was amazing, we had 4 courses in under 45 minutes! Delicious food, traditional Sicilian dishes, nothing spectacular, but all very good. The best part was the price- about half the price of anywhere else we've eaten in Italy. Also there were not many tourists which was a bonus - good solid food, great prices and fast service.

3.5 stars. It's fine but not fantastic. The staff were very friendly and service was quick! The food was rather bland, though. The fish was fresh and really soft - amazing texture! - but it had no flavor, as with everything else. Not sure I'd go back

We went here on our last night in Palermo. We had been to a few other trattorias we had liked and this one did not disappoint. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave honest suggestion to go for the house wine versus the more expensive bottles. They accommodated an off menu request we had. The bill came out to 30€. We left with a smile and a full stomach.

I always believe that anything bellow 5 stars for a meal around 50 bucks it's not worth my time to write aboit, plus it can always damage the reputation of a establishment. The food was amaizing, with 3 course meal and still had place for desert

This restaurant was advertised everywhere. It's been open for a long time, the foods did not met up to the expectations, it was very salty. the waiter was hustling.

We ate here the other night and we were not disappointed at all. The fish meatballs in tomato sauce was delicious. The mussels in red sauce were really good, I kept dipping the bread in the sauce. The waiters were all helpful with the menu, the service was just wonderful. You will not be disappointed if you pick this restaurant.
