It was my just "walk in" osteria while my walk in Bari. The service was very friendly, very nice and attentive. The food was also super good, really cozy small and nice place. 5 out of 5.

Food and wine was good. Family is working, waiter is speaking english. We took several dishes, everything was ok, not perfect Except traditional bari meal with potatoes, that is perfect!

Really nice local restaurant. Super food and really nice atmosphere! Friendy staff. Menu is spoken. They serve a “food of the day” with 3 options for main and starter. Try it ! You will be amazed

Very nice local restaurant in the old town. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. We also had a bottle of local wine. It was about the best food we have had during our time in Bari and the most reasonably priced. It is very popular with locals.

DON'T GO THERE. They don't speak English, there is no printed menu and you are pressured into taking a set menu. Unreasonable price for low quality. We saw the owner pour unfinished wine from other mugs into another one and served to new customers. Disgusting. Owner snatched money from the table and didn't even say thank you. We paid 37 euros for 2 people dinner with antipasti and second dish.

This restaurant is a hidden jewel ❤️ We were warmly welcomed. The waiter was super friendly and spoke really good English (something you don’t quite find in italy - at least we encountered this problem often) Tipical italian food : you have 3 options for each course and all of them are delicious!! The Menu depends on season (summer/winter). Prices are really affordable - we paid 42€ for 2 persons with 2 courses, dessert, wine, water and shots at the end . 👌🏼👌🏼 Our order: risotto with zucchini and seafood / pasta with pomodoro and ricotta grilled octopus / horse meat fruit tarts peanut shots ( which tastes a bit like Jägermeister with peanut flavor) all accompanied with white wine 😊 So if you are visiting Bari it’s definitely a must 👍🏼👍🏼

Very modest restaurant in city center of Bari. We only came here because on a Saturday night it was the only place with seating available. Fried seafood and pasta with seafood was average, nothing special. Prices average also, around 28 euros for two persons. I would not necessarily reccommend it, although it was not bad. Also, no beer selection, they only have perroni.

The food was amazing and the staff as well. There is a guy that speak English, he is very polite. I definetly recommend this place.

Yelp
Antica Osteria Vini e Cucina Paglionico in Old Bari is an authentic Barese culinary experience. It is a no nonsense typical eatery in a typical structure of the region. Inside an arched sottano made of Pugliese stones and bricks, you will be served simple but delicious food made from what is fresh and available at the time. The food is brought to the table immediately after it is prepared, still sizzling and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere and service is unhurried, so make sure you have set aside enough time to enjoy from start to finish. The prices are quite reasonable. Go with an open mind and a sense of adventure and you'll be amply rewarded. I certainly was. The Paglionico family has owned the business forever and Nico is the current owner. Bravo!
