We stayed in the treehouse and a regular room because we booked only 1 month in advance and there was no room for 2 consecutive nights.
The Treehouse is very spacious with nice patio and ground level sitting area. No sofa, but there are 4 beds, (1 double bed, 3 single) and extra blankets available, so lots of room. There is a Fan, Air conditioner, Fridge, kitchen, coffee maker, sink & dish detergent. No luggage rack. Small bathroom with very little counter space and no window to air out the humidity, but large shower stall though. 3 bath towels, no other sizes (no hand or face towels), no toiletries, no hair dryer, so bring your own and air dry your hair.
I guess we forgot to take pictures of the regular room. Pretty standard, with window screens, air conditioner, clean and spacious.
We paid 1 night via PayPal to Veronica and the rest in cash when we checked out.
Luis gave us names for turtle guides. Since most people staying here wanted to see turtles, it would've been great if they also organized group tours. We went to a morning tour to search for baby turtles and everyone in the group was from this lodge. One of the tourists we met, said to go to San Juanillo town to hire a boat to take us out to see the turtles in the ocean, since we were not able to see turtles nest and lay eggs during the 2 nights we were here. That proved to be one of the highlights for my boyfriend, as he swam in the ocean with turtles and filmed it on his GoPro. These 2 turtle activities made out stay a wonderful one. I would recommend staying here.
Bring red light head lamps to see turtles at night, but it may not be necessary. Scare off dogs and vultures to protect baby turtles to give them a fighting chance to get to the ocean before being eaten right after birth.
