Ostraco, Mykonos, Greece - Explore & Book

"Mykonos, the original Cycladic haunt of the 1960s, is back in vogue. And the in-place to lay your head is the stylishly minimal Ostraco. It sits on a hill above the impossibly pretty horseshoe-harbour of Chora, with long views out to a scudding blue sea. Guests lounge around on sumptuously cushioned day-beds in shaded pergolas, or top up their tans on white-clad sunloungers around an amoeba-shaped pool. In the evening, the place comes alive with music, lanterns, cocktails and a party-soul bartender: a fitting prelude for a night on the tiles (or rather cobbles) of Chora’s labyrinthine alleys, glitzy restaurants and laid-back dance clubs. But it's the supremely cool interiors that really take your breath away: rustic and retro design details adorn a backdrop so brilliantly white that you’ll be wearing your Armani shades inside. And it could not be more romantic: twinkling views, heated outdoor Jacuzzis in some suites, even a pair of immaculate chapels on hand in case you pop the question. Highs The rooms’ pared-down aesthetic is the last word in Greek island chicWith 22 rooms and suites, the mood is intimate and sociable (it is still family-owned)Manager Stella and her excellent team provide faultless, friendly serviceYou can take a day-trip to ancient Delos, shop (or bop) till you drop in Chora’s designer boutiques and clubs, hang out among the perfect bodies of Paradise beach, or jump on a bus or fishing boat to a quieter cove Lows Some road noise in the rooms nearest the streetIt’s a steep 10-minute walk (or short taxi ride) into townSome outdoor areas feel overlookedMykonos is the most expensive island in Greece, and Ostraco’s rates reflect this" - Melinda McDougall

Ostraco Suites (Mykonos, Greek Islands) 8 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"As a travel destination Mykonos is certainly no well-kept secret, its streets and beaches often crowded with throngs of tourists. Novelty isn’t everything, though, and the considerable natural charms of the Greek islands are still there to be experienced, if you know where to look." - Tablet Hotels

This has been our second stay at Ostraco Suites & we felt again very welcomed. The location of the hotel is perfect, not too far from the airport and easy walkable into town. |The atmosphere is relaxed, but very professional. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. We love the Nespresso coffee machine, for a first morning coffee or a late afternoon espresso. |Our bedroom was very quiet, no issue with any noise from the road. |The overall service and friendliness of the staff and management is outstanding, one of the reasons we keep coming back.

We had a wonderful stay at Ostraco Suites in Mykonos. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming—nothing was ever too much trouble. They happily arranged taxis, made restaurant reservations, and always went out of their way to make our stay seamless and relaxing.||The breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning, and the food in the restaurant was equally impressive. The views of the ocean are stunning, and the location is ideal—close enough to town for easy access, yet peaceful and relaxing when you want to unwind.||Overall, a perfect blend of warm hospitality, great food, and beautiful surroundings. We can’t wait to return!

We had a wonderful stay here in a Deluxe Sea View Room with Outdoor Jacuzzi. As soon we were collected from the port, we had a warm welcome that continued with all the staff at suites. Beautiful grounds and pool. Short walk to town down hill. There is a local bus service that takes you to some of the beaches.

My stay at the Orchestra Hotel was exceptional. The property is stunning, and the staff at the front desk were consistently welcoming and accommodating. On days we missed breakfast, they kindly prepared takeaway breakfast boxes for our excursions—an appreciated gesture.||The rooms with private hot tubs were a highlight; I used mine almost daily to unwind. While beautifully designed, the proximity of neighboring rooms offered limited privacy on the patio, which could be improved. The pool was refreshing, and the breakfast was excellent—flavorful, well-balanced, and never overly seasoned.||The location is also convenient: just 5–10 minutes from the airport and close to local bus routes for easy travel around the island.||Overall, a fantastic experience—I'd rate it 5 out of 5.

Stayed in late September and have to say how wonderful this hotel is. Large rooms, huge bathrooms. They feel more like individual cottages. And the most amazingly attentive friendly and helpful staff. They really do go out of their way to ensure you have a great time. Beautiful breakfast too, and overall great food. Pool area is lovely. Towels provided. ||Only downside was a bit of road noise. We were in the rooms (204) closest to the road. I’m sensitive to noise and wore earplugs and it didn’t affect my sleep. My friend didn’t even really notice it. If you are sensitive to noise ask for a room away from the road. ||It is a steep walk into town, wear comfortable and grippy shoes, it took around 10-15 minutes. We didn’t brave the climb back preferring to get a cab which was 15 euros. I’d suggest agreeing the cab price before you get in or they will try it on! ||If you don’t want go to town for dinner I’d recommend Tokyo Joes which is just down the road. Great sushi and atmosphere.

Extremely friendly stuff altogether. It makes you fel welcome and special. Food menu has good options and pool area is nice and relaxing. It's a 10 minutes downhill walk to town and 20 minutes back up, it's quite steep uphill.

The location is excellent and the room size as well, but the service was not good, especially the cleaning. There was only one woman for the entire hotel, and her cleaning was poor. The bed was also uncomfortable. Additionally, the electricity went out twice during our stay. The biggest drawback, which I have never seen in any hotel in the world, is that there are charges for room service – €10 for each service. This is completely unreasonable. Why would I stay in a hotel if there are no complimentary room services?
