Ostria Resort & Spa , Crêtes

My boyfriend and I stayed here in September this year and were impressed with the overall experience. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. There were various evening events such as the Cretan night and the Gala. There was a variety of places to eat from snack bars, the beach restaurant but our favourite was the village and restaurant area. The manager there Konstantinos was always on hand to greet everybody and ensure we had a pleasant and enjoyable evening. Giving advice on the food and drinks. Under his watchful eye and encouragement the restaurant staff were very efficient and friendly. All in all we had a very pleasant experience and look forward to visiting again in the future.

The rooms were extremely comfortable with everything needed for our stay. ||The hotel was very well thought out with quiet areas away from the nosier entertainment area along with an adult bar and pool where you could enjoy the surroundings and relax. ||The beach and sea were very pleasant with beautiful clear sea. ||When we first stepped inside the hotel it felt calm and relaxing.|||The location was on the whole good although quite a drive from the airport and Heraklion. However for this holiday that was fine as it was more about relaxing and releasing stress.||The spa facilities were excellent.

Me and my partner stayed at the hotel the first week of September. We arrived at the hotel around 2:30am, the staff at reception were very helpful and had food set up in the buffet for our arrival. We got taken by a kart to our room and showed around the resort and given lots of information by the driver.|The room itself was beautiful and spacious and there was plenty of storage. It got cleaned every day and fresh bottles of water was put in the fridge every day. |There was plenty of loungers by the pool and the sea and everywhere got the sun did not matter where you sat. The beach was stony but there was wooden walk ways. At the beach there was a section for water sports and swimming. Me and my partner did an inflatable which cost us €25 each. |There was multiple activities provided by the entertainment team daily for example aqua bikes, aqua gym and lots of ball games. The entertainment team spoke multiple languages such as French, Spanish and English.|Each night had a dress code for example white night, flowers, elegant. We enjoyed the themed nights since there was always entertainment on. However the gala night was confusing since we was not aware the buffet was not open and we had to go to another area of the resort to have a set menu which we was not a fan off and the food did not come at once. We felt it was unorganised.|The resort is mainly French speaking however everyone makes an effort to speak English and start conversations in English. |The day before we left we asked for late checkout since we had a late flight. This cost us €80 which we thought was good.|The food was amazing and there was plenty of choice and different food every night. The drinks were delicious as well and the bar staff were great.|We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be back :)

The hotel itself was very nice — clean, comfortable, and in a great location. However, we did feel that English guests weren’t treated as warmly as others. As a young couple, we sometimes felt we were dismissed or not taken as seriously, which was a shame. Some staff also came across as a bit rude or uninterested when we tried to communicate, and we noticed we weren’t kept as up to date on activities or events as other guests seemed to be.||On a positive note, the crepe ladies were absolutely lovely — always friendly, smiling, and happy to help. They really stood out and made a big difference to our experience.

I stayed at Ostria Resort & Spa in Crete with just my daughter, and it was truly a holiday we will never forget. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that instantly made us feel at home. ||||The resort itself is stunning – beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and set against the most breathtaking backdrop of the Cretan sea. The atmosphere felt both luxurious and relaxed, making it perfect for a mother-daughter getaway.||||Our room was modern, spacious, and extremely comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. The pools and grounds are immaculate, and there’s always a quiet corner to relax in as well as lively areas full of energy if you prefer that.||||What really stood out was the service. Every member of staff we encountered went above and beyond – always smiling, attentive, and genuinely kind. They made my daughter feel special, which meant so much to me.||||The food was another highlight. Each meal offered such variety, from traditional Cretan dishes to international favourites, always fresh and beautifully presented.||||The spa is a sanctuary in itself – peaceful, elegant, and the perfect place to unwind. I indulged in a treatment while my daughter enjoyed the pools, and we both left feeling completely rejuvenated.||||Thank you for a lovely holiday ❤️

The resort was lovely, staff were very accommodating and friendly. The food was amazing every day, the all inclusive cocktails were lovely too. The spa was beautiful! A great week spent relaxing and enjoying every minute. I also loved all the cats and kittens, they were so friendly

With mixed feelings the hotel not fully met my 5-star expectations though the potential is definitely there. It is a lovely designed place, nice people, good vibe and excellent food. Main issues: -> some superior rooms desperatley need a renovation as this one has mould on the wall in the bathroom -> restaurant garden starts literally 1.5 meter from my doors generating late hours noise that can well prevent from sleeping -> speaking many languages fluently I still had some issues to align with animation team oriented foremost towards french speaking guests and not always inclusive -> some hours (17-19:30) there is literally no food available despite all in option and due to location in the middle of no where going outside is also not super easy so when you actually happen to return from excursion around that time you would need to wait even for a snack -> I'm not sure if number of umbrellas and beach loungers is fully sufficient in peak season outside of adults only areas and private pools.

Just returned from the most beautiful holiday.|Upon arrival (which was around 1am in the morning), we were greeted by a lovely staff member in reception, they informed us well about the restaurants, gym, spa etc and provided us with a map of the resort (which proved helpful as this place is huge haha!!).|We were then driven to our room with our suitcases on the buggy, and asked if we required anything from the main restaurant (even though it was 1am!).|Our room was spotlessly clean, and cleaned each morning. We were provided with a bottle of water each day, the room was very modern and stylish and everything worked well.||We didn’t struggle finding a sun bed, which was great as a lot of reviews stated that finding a sun bed after 7am was difficult!|The grounds of the resort are stunning, very well maintained and the beach was lovely, again, plenty of sun loungers available.. gorgeous clear waters and we could even see some fish in the sea!! 🐟🐠 ||The pool bar was fantastic for food and drinks throughout the day. |The food at the main buffet was lovely, lots of variety and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.|On Thursday night we attended the Gala evening, we were feeling a bit sceptical as this isn’t usually our sort of thing, but we ended up having a great time, the show was fantastic and the food was brilliant (3 course meal with wine included!).|We went to one of the restaurants, Aeolous, which was included as part of the all inclusive which you can attend for 1 night per 7 nights stay and wow - the food was amazing!|We also went to Maestro Traditional restaurant (also 1 meal included per 7 night stay), and the staff and food were lovely.|We went to Thalassa (not included on the all inclusive package) - however, this was some of the BEST food me and my partner have ever eaten and the staff went above and beyond, the location is also stunning with it being right on the beach! ||Overall, I would definitely recommend this resort and we will definitely return in the future.
