Ok, wasn’t sure if we were going to make it after walking almost 4 miles in Solvang but I’m so happy we did! They have over 80 ostriches and 40+ glorious acres. This was such a beautiful experience. All the ostriches behaved. No one got pecked in the head and we thoroughly enjoyed feeding them. Such a great experience for adults and kids. Totally worth the stop, so happy we did it. Definitely recommend it!!!

We had such a fun time at Ostrichland! Buying tickets online was super easy, and there was plenty of availability even the day after Thanksgiving. They also offered a military discount, which we really appreciated. Checking in was quick, the staff was really friendly, and it wasn’t crowded at all. There was plenty of space to walk around and enjoy everything. We went at 10am, and the emus and ostriches didn’t seem very hungry, so I do wish there were more openings for feeding. But overall, our family had a blast and we’d definitely go back!

What an incredible learning experience! This place is nearly equivalent to Jurassic Park. Huge ostriches, fun facts, beautiful scenery– I was in awe for the entire time. There's a lot of space for everybody, humans and ostriches alike, and it's surprisingly wheelchair accessible– I saw multiple wheelchairs when I visited. As long as you treat the ostriches like dinosaurs you should be fine, otherwise you will get bit...I saw many people get bitten. You can feed them, but make sure to feed them with respect!

Such a cool place 😎 the ostriches are so big and tall I am short but my husband is tall and they are big as he is. Feeding them is fun they provide you with a bowl that has a handle on it which makes it easier to feed the birds. They even have some rabbits and squirrels who live on the farm so cute to look at. Cute photo ops inside and on the outside. The gift shop is small but cute. I highly recommend family's and couples to come such a neat place to stop at.

Fun activity to do right outside of Solvang. The cost was reasonable at $7 for adults and $3 for 12 & younger. The feed is $1 per bowl. You have to buy feed as that is the highlight of the visit. In my opinion the feed bowl can be shared with people taking turns. There are both ostriches and emus to feed. While feeding the birds, have patience for them to come to you. Lastly, it would be great if there was more educational signage.

A great place to visit with kids or as a couple! It smells like a real farm, and if you grew up on one, it instantly brings back childhood memories. The ostriches are absolutely incredible! I’ve seen them before, but never this close — they’re not just birds, they’re living dinosaurs! Their huge feet look like they came straight out of Jurassic Park. It’s a fantastic spot for a family trip. Just be careful — ostriches love to sneak in a little pinch :) Highly recommend!

So many ostriches! Feeding them is a lot more fun than I expected, definitely plan on at least two pans of food per person. The food, as of July 2024, is only $1 per pan. However, it's not always available if the staff determines that the birds have already eaten enough that day. The earlier you go, the better the chance you'll be able to feed them! If you're a squished penny collector, they have 4 fun designs! Make sure to bring coins for the machine, it does not accept cards. The staff does accept cards for the ostrich food and tickets. It took us roughly half an hour to go through this farm (no kids) and it was definitely worth it! There's also a resident cat named Piper, who is extremely friendly.

Must stop if you're passing through. This cute ostrich farm is a great place for kids and adults. What better and funner way is there to kill some time while road tripping or just to stretch out a little. Affordable, interactive, and great for all ages!

What a fun experience! You won't spend too much time here (30 minutes - 1 hour) but definitely entertaining. It was $7 per person entrance fee and $1 for ostrich food. BUY THE FOOD, its absolutely worth it and for $1 its a steal. You get quite a bit of food for a dollar and feeding the ostriches is pretty fun. I recommend coming here early, probably before 1 pm because later through the day the ostriches get full and they might not eat the food. Many of the ostriches were already full and not eating the food at 12:45 though there were many hungry ones. Parking - They have their own lot and because people were coming and going, there were plenty of spots.

It was pretty amazing getting to see the ostriches and emus here. The birds look healthy and had plenty of room to roam. You can also opt to feed them. Definitely a unique experience to check out when you're in the area.

If you've never had the opportunity to interact with avians as large as yourself but have an urge to do so, Ostrichland USA is the place for YOU - and it's quite an experience! For a few bucks, you can hang out with some of the most bizarre (and fascinating) birds around. Surprisingly, the ostrich and emu residents of this unique roadside attraction are relatively gentle when grubbing on the bowls of feed you offer them. I've seen videos of ostriches at other zoos/parks filching feed cups from peoples' grasps and greedily gobbling down their contents, but Ostrichland's residents have much better manners - or maybe it's just the size of the feed bowls that discourage such gluttony. :D Regardless, at no point were my hands (or other body parts) in jeopardy due to careless "pecking." (I even made a few trips back up to the main building to purchase more sustenance for my new - and hungry - feathered friends.) I might add that there are lots of birds to visit on the park grounds, with the ostrich and emu groups segregated in separate pens throughout the compound. There's upper and lower park sections, and both are accessible to those willing to explore. Strollers, wheelchairs, and mobility scooters are able to access both levels, as well, due to the availability of packed-earth ramps in addition to stairs between levels. This attraction isn't time consuming, and you can easily be in and out in less than an hour - but choose to stay all day if you wish. Once you've paid your entrance fee, you're free to move around and feed at your own pace. Upon exiting the feeding area you can also spend some time perusing the gift shop for all things ostrich (or emu). This is an enjoyable adventure for all ages but - like most zoos or animal parks - a tolerance for the smells, sounds, and sights of nature is requisite. Also, be aware that it can get quite hot in on the park grounds during the summer months, so an early to midday arrival time allows for a more comfortable feeding experience. Kids will undoubtedly love this place - and there are openings in sections of pen fencing to allow feeding opportunities for a variety of heights. Ostrichland USA receives my highest recommendation as an inexpensive yet memorable family-friendly destination. Bring the fam and feed some birds!

We came by here before heading to Solvang. It's a good stop after the long drive. Admission is reasonable and the food bowl feeding is a must. We spent about 45 min here.

Super easy and fun experience. As of 3/30/24: General admission - $7 Military - $5 Child - $3 Feed bowls - $1 You get to feed both ostriches and their cute cousins, the emus. Go through the side to pay your fee and purchase your bowls. Do not enter the gift shop. You exit the gift shop. Purchases are easy and the experience was definitely memorable. Depending on how warm the day is, the air could get kind of funky so if you're sensitive to smells, either avoid, or put some essential oils on the inside of a mask, dab under your nose, etc. They have eggs for purchase as well. Emu eggs were sold out and I believe the ostrich eggs go for $50. Definitely worth the stop if you're in Solvang.

Our first stop Bluelton - to the Land of Ostrich. We paid $7 per person to enter. Feeding the ostriches was a blast! We purchased three bowls of food for just $1 each, and the ostriches eagerly gobbled it up in no time. The staff at the gift shop were incredibly welcoming. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to answer any questions we had. Just a reminder - it's important to be mindful as there may not always be staff around to provide guidance on the behavior of the ostriches. While they give you the freedom to explore and observe these fascinating birds at your own pace. Just remember to approach them with caution and respect their space to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit. Overall, Ostrich land provided a memorable and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a unique and fun experience. And it is worth noting that they are dog friendly too.

We happened upon ostrichland USA on our way to Solvang and decided to stop. $7 and $1 for a bowl of food seemed very reasonable. The foodbowls have a handle to provide distance of human hands from ostriches beaks. Different birds came up to the fence to grab a few pecks out of our bowls while we walked to the different enclosures. Bathrooms were Porta-potties, and plenty of handsanitizer stations throughout. Maybe some educational signage would be nice to add? Gift shop had a few items available too. We enjoyed our time and learned a lot about ostrich anatomy.

I've wanted to come here since watching The Simpson's Ostrich World episode. Interacting with these birds was a trip. They're SO tall, big, and FAST. I had more fun than I thought we would. We kept buying bowls of food because these birds can eat! It's also educational--emus are the world's second-largest birds, and are capable of sprinting at 30 MPH. Plus, I loved learning this spot is committed to the well-being of these birds, both in captivity and the wild. Very much worth the stop (for both, adults and kids) next time you're in the Santa Barbara area.

A fun stop on the way to Santa Barbara. Parking is easy, admission is $7 per person, and $1 per food pan. We only did one food pan, and it was plenty! The emus and ostriches were actually polite (lol) about eating out of the pan. And, bonus, this stop is dog friendly! We brought our dog - who was slightly confused about the whole thing - but it was nice to not have to leave him in the car :) Definitely worth a quick stop on a roadtrip. :)

Stopped by here on the way to Solvang from Santa Barbara. Admission is $7 and a pan of food is $1. I would suggest to just get one pan to share. The ostriches and emus have been eating literally all day long. So it's kinda hard to even finish one pan of food. I ended up not using up my whole bowl and no one would take it from when I offered, because they also were having a hard time finishing theirs. But it's a great experience and definitely worth checking out. The ostriches are smart and try to just snatch the whole pan from you instead of picking at the food. So be sure to hold on tight!

Great "roadside attraction" with plenty of parking, emus and ostriches. Currently $7 per person and $1 per bowl of feed. Note that if you go later in the day, The animals may not be that hungry. There are port o potties and a hand wash station with soap. There are also some cute murals and signs to take photos with. The best part for us was that this is also dog friendly. You can spend maybe as little as 5 minutes but I would plan at least 30 minutes to wander, feed and observe. The animals look well fed and cared for and have plenty of room to run around and roam. You can watch them run around and interact with each other. If you want to observe more, you can bring binoculars, but the animals will come up close and personal. Notes: if you come earlier, the birds will be hungrier. Ostriches are not the nicest or gentlest so only feed them if you want to, they recommend holding the food out in the bowl at arm's length. If you are sensitive to smells, it does smell like bird poop, but it isn't intolerable. There is not much seating except for one picnic table.

Great place to visit if you're making a trip to Solvang. It's about a 7 minute drive from Solvang but worth a visit. Just takes an hour or so but it's cool to visit and feed the ostriches and emus. The prices are very reasonable about $7 for adults and $1 for a food bowl to feed the ostriches and emus. Just be careful around them as they can bite (especially important for little kids to be careful). It's a cool side trip from Solvang.

My husband and I were visiting family in Santa Inez, California and searched on the Atlas Obscura website for local oddities. Ostrichland USA popped up and his brother insisted we go. The roadside attraction is home to hundreds of ostriches and emus (and we saw a cat and a bunny or two). Parking is free and plentiful on the dirt lot outside the store/main entrance. Once you enter the green storefront, you are greeted and presented with price options (very affordable and they have military, senior and child discounts) and also have the option of purchasing ostrich-themed souvenirs (including ostrich jerky) and looking at their celebrity-signed plastic ostrich eggs. If you want to feed the ostriches and emus, it's only $1 and you get a lot of food. The food is with a food bowl that's on a dustpan with a handle so that you can safely hold it out to the fowl. It's fun to see them messily (food flung into my dress!) peck and eat while you get a close up view of these fun birds. I definitely suggest swinging by Ostrichland USA if you're in the area or driving by!

Visit Ostrich Land USA for a fun, memorable experience with your family while in Solvang, CA. During your visit, you get to get up close and personal with ostriches and emus while feeding ($1/bowl) and watching them roam around the huge area. Parking is available in a medium-sized lot, which could get fairly crowded depending on the time/day you go. I suggest coming earlier to avoid the long line and get a bowl of food to feed the ostriches and emus. Note that the number of bowls of food they sell is limited to 1/party on busy days (don't want to overstuff them!). If you do get a bowl, remember to hold it tight with both hands!

Stopped by Ostrichland with a group of friends. We were spending a night in Buellton and Solvang. I'd never heard of Ostrichland before but was positively impressed. Inexpensive and entertaining. Fun for the whole family. Feeding the Ostriches and emus was really fun. They even had a misting system set up which was great considering the temperature in the afternoon.

If I could give this place a thousand stars I would. We were driving by and as I was pointing out every single cow that I saw, I turned to get ready to point out a cow to my boyfriend until I looked and started with "co......" brain processing. "Ostrich?!" We pulled over immediately, walked our happy asses in the muddy rain and paid for a feed bowl. My little animal loving heart was so happy that day! Oh my the Ostriches were very aggressive like I'm talking when I am hangry and can't take it anymore! Anyways... the emus were very gentle except one section but overall 1000/10 would do again. If you have kids or you are a giant kid or love animals or even don't like animals (don't know anyone that doesn't like them), please stop and do this. The guy at the register was super chill and we ended up buying both an ostrich and emu egg to eat. Will update on how it tastes! Stat tuned

This is always a fun and quick roadside attraction when passing through the area! For $7 you gain admission to look at and take pictures of all the ostriches and emus. For an extra $1, you can feed them! One employee was brand new (her very first day) and wasn't able to answer any of our questions, but her colleague was extremely helpful! We asked questions about the use/purpose of the farm, why some were separated from others, what else is sold (eggs or meat). He had an answer for everything and gave his brand new colleague a wealth of information to help her along! This was my second time visiting and will likely return to see these animals again.

My family added this to our Solvang mini vacation itinerary , and we are so glad we did! Firstly, it is incredibly affordable! $7 for entry and $1 for a bowl of food. The ostriches and emus were so cute and very interactive! There are also plenty of photo opportunities. I highly recommend stopping here if you are going to Solvang. It's only 3-5 mins away! They had a lovely gift shop in the front which had a great selection of souvenirs. There are even emu oil samples you can try on your skin.

Traffic from LA to here on a Saturday was excruciating...took 4 hours :( but very blessed to have made it an hour before they closed. It's $7 per person. Couple of workers stated the animals were full and will no longer eat but when we got in, there were still plenty that were eating. So blessed!!! Overall it was something interesting...everyone was friendly and we actually got a bowl of the feed for free (it was my wife's bday :D) they also sell ostrich and emu eggs but it's only emu season right now. I got one for my wife ($50) will try it out soon :)

Stayed in Solvang for a New Years trip and saw this little farm on the map and immediately booked a spot for the same day. Such a good price and lots of fun, plenty of parking lots, and always hungry ostriches and emus. Some tips: You can pay for a bowl of food online when you get a ticket or in person for $1 cash. Also make sure to hold the bowls with both hands, the ostriches will attempt to snatch it from you. They also have 2 bunnies and a cat on the premises, but those cannot be fed.

This place has very reasonable pricing for entry & for food. The only thing is you could tell that the ostriches & emus are being fed constantly by tourists. Because of that a lot of them tend to avoid the feeders so it's hard to attract them to the fence. We didn't stay long but it's cool for people of all ages to experience. We didn't even get to finish the feed since a lot of them were not hungry. We went on a Friday at 1:30pm

Ostrichland USA is such a good time! My wife and I decided to stop on our drive to Solvang and are so glad we did. Initially we did not know what to expect. But after reading countless 5 star reviews and getting recommendations from friends we decided we had to make a pit stop and see the (giant) birds! Ostrichland opens at 9am and closes at 6pm. General admission is $7 per person and $1 per bowl for feed. Prices are extremely reasonable! The ostriches and emus are HUGE! It's fun getting to feed them but just be aware they can be a little aggressive. The emus aren't as intense as the ostriches, but they're still "energetic" to say the least! It's truly remarkable getting to see these giant birds in person, especially so up-close! It's a little intimidating at first but you get used to it after a few "feeds." I like that at Ostrichland there is plenty of room for the ostriches and emus to roam. This "bird campus" is a large piece of property. I don't support unethical treatment of animals and am happy to see the birds have so much outdoor space here! In a nutshell, if you're in the area and want a unique experience I HIGHLY recommend Ostrichland USA.

My husband I booked a reservation for a Saturday at 10am. This was such a fun and unique experience, adults and kids are sure to enjoy this! It was $7 for entry and $1 per feed. Parking is on a dirt lot so wear tennis shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. There are so many ostriches of all sizes and ages plus emus too! I love how this ranch has lots of space for them and they have the freedom to roam around or "mingle" with us tourists and a dish pan of feed for them. Hold on to those dish pans tight, they peck aggressively. It was amazing to see these beautiful big birds in person and it was greatly uncanny to see how much they resemble dinosaurs especially with those deep noises they make! We spent about 30ish minutes here and would love to come back again one day.

Best day ever! We drove up here from San Diego and I have no regrets. Entrance is only $7-8, but you can feed these cuties for $1 more. You absolutely need to experience this! These cute mfers are as tall and skinny as Wembanyama but they're about as aggressive as you can imagine a modern dinosaur to be. These pea brains have a perpetual thousand-yard stare, not a single thought going through their minds until they see food. But they're so adorable it doesn't matter. I want to hug, ride, and race them like chocobos. I want to take one home and be best friends. The farm is only a 5-minute drive from Solvang so if you're in the area, you need to come here. 5/5, will be back for breakfast time.

Love this little ostrich farm. They also have emu as well. We happened on it by chance and stopped in. The gift shop has cute items reasonably priced. It cost us $8 each to get in and $1 each to feed them. They have outside portable restrooms and a sink with running water and soap near by. The restroom that I went into was clean. I was happy to see that they also had misters hooked up for the customers. It was real hot the day we went. The animals look healthy and well taken care of. The staff here is friendly and helpful. I would stop in again. It was a great experience.

Excellent place for couples, families and kids. Would definitely come here again to visit these beautiful animals and cute gift shop full of goodies. It's only $1 per food bowl.. keep your hand on the wooden part. I would recommend is to have some napkins handy, wear loose, light clothing with close-toed shoes and socks, and watch out for ticks!

If you're nearby, add this to your itinerary for a fun, unique experience! Literally 5 min away from the quaint town of Solvang too, so it's an easy place to make a pit stop on the way there, or on the way back home. Parking is easy to find, and free, but admission to see the ostriches are not. It's about $7 per adult, and $5 with military. Kids are a reduced cost. It's worth it to be able to get up close to the ostriches though. Some of them are huuuge, and it's amazing to watch them roam all the wide open land. If you want to feed the ostriches (which you absolutely should), it's $1 per bowl. Hold on tight though, the birds get real aggressive! It's all dirt road, so you might not want to wear your nice clothes lol Don't be like me and feed the ostriches all in once place. Keep walking so you can spread your feed between the rest of the ostriches and emus. We were lucky to see baby ostriches, soooo stinkin cute! There are so many areas that are picture worthy too, so take all your pics for the gram! The pathway does have one area that is slightly inclined, so this might be a little difficult for some guests to walk down and up. They have two random bunnies but you're not allowed to feed those. I was really hoping to see/touch an ostrich egg but they didn't have any available the day we went :( The gift shop is small but has a decent amount of ostrich themed novelty gifts to look through and fairly reasonably priced. I got a souvenir magnet for $4!

My kids (2 and 9) loved this place! It cost $22 for the four of us to get in and $1 for each container of food. I would definitely recommend buying the food because it made the experience really fun. It was a great experience for the whole family!

Add this activity to your Solvang visit! Located less than 10 minutes away from Solvang, this small ostrich and emu farm was a must stop for me and my group of friends after learning about it. Admission is $7 per person and feeding bowls are $1 (they limited it to 1 bowl per group due to capacity). Feeding the ostriches and emus was so fun! There are signs to warn us that they bite and we did encounter some aggressive ostriches however you should be fine as long as you don't aggravate them. There is a gift shop that sells ostrich and emu eggs for those that are interested along with other fun souvenirs. Overall, it is a fun activity for all ages to experience

Dude, seen this so much all over the gram and wanted to check out this spot so badly. So glad that I finally was able to check it out. Like a 10 minute drive from Solvang. On a spontaneous trip to Solvang and Santa Barbara we decided to stop by here so my kids can experience this. Parking was easy, and it was easy to purchase tickets and food. We initially started feeding the Ostrich at the beginning but decided to keep walking down the path. My biggest recommendation is if you see this review keep walking down that path and feed the emu and the ostriches over there because the ones that usually gets feds is the ones at the beginning. The ones towards the back is very hungry and it shows that they were definitely waiting to be fed. We got two feeding bowls and it went really fast. We literally spent like 30 minutes at most here. The ostrich and emu does seem more aggressive because they all want food and it does seem a bit scary but a cool experience nevertheless. I wouldn't recommend being super dressed up as the walk path is dirt. So you can get dirty/dusty and if its windy then the dirt will definitely be flying around. Would I come back? Yes definitely as it was pretty cool to see them and feed them. I even went down a googling path to learn more about both animals. Tips: *free parking *you can place tickets online or pay at the door. *$1 food bowls *entrance fee for adults $7 and kids were $3 *they have a small gift shop.

It's always fun to feed the ostriches and emu! The noises they make are so cool to hear! We saw an emerald green BIG emu egg that must have just been laid because the workers came and picked it up pretty quickly. In the gift shop you can buy the giant eggs and feathers! They also have the pressed penny machine here. If you are into geocaching, there is a micro cache here! $7 adults, $5 military, $3 kids and then $1 a bowl. If they are not hungry or there are lots of people you can split a bowl, otherwise or during a time when less people are around get one each to start with! Hold the bowl by the handle tightly! They will literally grab the bowl and try to yank it from your hands! This is a must stop for an hour!

If you love scary dinosaurs, this is the place for you. I never realized how fascinating and terrifying ostriches and emus are until I made a spur of the moment date day and took my gf here to feed these tall beasts. We had a really fun time. There is plenty of parking in their gravel parking lot, even though this place gets very packed on weekends and holidays, have no fear. When you walk out to the ostrich yard there is enough space for everyone to feed these beautiful monsters. We paid $5 each for a military ticket to get in and another $1 each to buy a bowl of food. Honestly, it's a steal. My gf had a massive smile on her face, and that's really all I could ask for.

If you're visiting Solvang, one of the must-do attractions is Ostrichland. It's located right off the 101 where Solvang and Buellton meet. It's also close to the heart of Solvang so it's just a quick drive from the town. There is plenty of parking just outside. The admission prices are as followed (as of September 2023): - General admission: $7 - Military: $5 - Children: $3 You can also buy feed bowls for $1 each if you want to feed the ostriches and if you're here you should definitely do that. They might be a little aggressive when eating the food but that's just how they eat. However, some will try to take the entire bowl from you so you have to hold onto them tight. Some ostriches were absolutely MASSIVE. They are the biggest birds in the world and some just towered over the tall fences. I even got to hold one of the ostrich eggs that was just laid the day before and it was also huge. This place is a lot of fun and is very family-friendly. If I ever visit Solvang again, I'm coming back here.

Fun place to visit in Solvang! My family and I come here every time we visit Solvang. The place has gotten bigger over the years with more ostriches and Emu's. Admission is $7 and 12 and under is $3. The best part of visiting this place is that you get to feed the Ostriches and Emus if you want. They sell food for $1 each bowl. Some of the birds can be a little bit aggressive and take your bowl down, so keep that in mind but it's a fun cheap thing to do if your around the area.

Yes these unusual creatures really look like that with their large expressive eyes with enormous eyelashes. Ostriches have the largest eye of any land animal, nearly 2 inches across. Have you ever actually seen an ostrich in person? We visited Ostrichland USA and saw dozens, and emus too. You can get up close to them and feed them, though they can get very enthusiastic. There are up to 100 ostriches and there is a lot of space for them to roam. They do come up to the fence if they want to eat but I read that the farm makes sure they don't overeat. For these large creatures this space is plentiful. Mother Nature is wild. These are kooky looking birds and it's great fun to get to visit them.

Ostrichland USA, a quick little roadside attraction located in Solvang, California. It's a farm where guests can feed ostriches and emus! How cool is that! I liked everything about the experience. It's a simple $7 entry fee per person. Then it's $1 per bowl to feed the birds. I purchased $3 worth of food along with taking plenty of time saying hello to these larger than life animals. I think normally most visitors can stop by and accomplish hanging out and feeding the ostriches in 30 - 45 minutes. I needed 2 full hours, lol. The whole process though is fast and efficient. No frills. No extras. Just, straight to the barn area and start greeting the residents! There is a gift shop right in the front entrance if interested in purchasing a souvenir. There is no fee for parking. Just $7 per person. What a great and affordable way to spend a portion of the day. Now, they do provide makeshift "dog bowls" with pebbles inside them and extended handles for you to hold onto while feeding the ostriches and emus. It's sort of like grasping a large sized pan and then extending your arm out whenever you want. I initially tried using this "dog bowl pan" but found I lost that face-to-face, human to animal interaction I was hoping to discover with the ostriches and emus. No problem...I had an idea. I grabbed the pebbles out of the bowl and hand fed them. This was 100% a better solution. Most people would say pecking by the ostriches and emus can hurt your hands, but really, it's their natural way of eating. I thoroughly enjoyed letting them chomp away. It flipped the whole narrative 180 degrees for the better. And now reflecting back, I'm happy I hand fed them. It also gave me a chance to pet their heads and the back of their necks. I just connected with them on a whole new level. I'm sure if staff saw me feeding the ostriches out of the palms of my hands, I would have been advised it's against policy, but it was a risk I was willing to take to capture memorable moments. I'm not suggesting to hand feed, but it is possible to not have to use the "dog bowl pan", lol. The grounds around the farm aren't big. It takes a few minutes to walk around and explore on your own terms. You have different ostriches and emus maintained in their own stables. It's your choice of where you'd like to stop, maybe whomever you make eye contact and form a bond with. There are water faucets to clean your hands off afterwards. I'd say the farm is surrounded by mostly desert terrain so you sort of feel dirty at the end. Lastly, after visiting here at the farm, you can venture into downtown Solvang and walk the charming streets known as the "Danish Capital of America". Overall, for an efficient roadside stop along Highways 101 and 246, Ostrichland is terrific. Getting up close to ostriches and emus is priceless. I cherished my visit.

When in Solvang, it was a highlight to visit and feed the magnificent ostriches and emus. They also have all kinds of little ground squirrels picking up the feed scraps too. This is a must for any bucket list and just a few minute drive from the main parts of Solvang.

So many ostriches and emus.... we originally bought 2 feeding plates but ended up buying 5 more bc it was so fun! ( feeds are $1 per bowl ). Dog friendly too! Kids and adults all had a blast! mom-tip : go in the a.m.... we went at 945am and 1) NO ONE was there so we got the whole place to ourselves and 2) it was still nice / shady and cool which made the experience more enjoyable. They didn't have any ostrich eggs this time but apparently, they do sell them at certain time of the year..

Have driven by Ostrichland USA a many times but we never stopped so we decided to check it out a couple years ago and it's so cool. We fed the ostriches and the Emus and there were baby ostriches and emus. Will definitely stop by again when we're out that way.

It is truly incredible seeing these creatures up close! I love that this place exists so people can see these impressive birds. We went on a weekday and it wasn't crowded and quite nice. The pricing is amazing with only $7 admission and $1 to feed . I loved walking around and seeing everything. I bought an ostrich egg for $55 and cooked it that night. So fun!

Such a fun experience! Ostrichland USA is located in Solvang. Perfect for families. We had the best time feeding ostriches and emus. Entrance fee (as of 2023) was $7 for adults, $3 for children under 12. Feed bowls were $1. Free parking. We spent about an hour or so walking the property and feeding emus and ostriches. Perfect stop if you are going to Solvang or love ostriches and emus. Such unique creatures. We learned ostriches lay the biggest egg and they are largest bird in existence!

What an interesting place. I love a random roadside attraction, and what better attraction than Ostriches?! For only $7 plus $1 if you'd like to feed them, you can spend as much time as you'd like at Ostrichland which is full of ostriches and emus. The only few cons here are the birds are not friendly so you might get bitten, that's not ideal. The other issue I had is they give you a TON of food for you $1, great! That being said, everyone has a ton too so the birds get full. After a minute or so I noticed the birds didn't want to eat. And the entire point is interacting with them. At one point i just left my food on the side so I could visit the gift shop. It's a fun place for photos and a random break from driving. There is no human food, like no food court or anything like that. There is a portajohn for a restroom so you're really sort of roughing it to see these mean birds, but it's worth it !

the staff is so friendly and the place in general is so cool! it's good for all ages and it's really fun to feed the ostriches!

Such a fun and awesome place to stop by and visit at least once in your lifetime! Visitation tickets are so affordable and I believe feeding the ostriches are just an extra dollar. I visited this place a long time ago and decided to come again to take my husband for his first visit and he enjoyed it. I also thought it was perfect that we could bring our dogs so we took our little feisty chihuahua. The birds didn't seem bothered by him at all. Definitely a must-see place if you are ever in California.

Ostrichland USA is a popular ostrich and emu ranch in Central Coast and the ranch is located just approximately 3-miles away from the famous Danish themed town Solvang. [Parking]: Free parking and there was an onsite parking assistant guiding my car to an available parking spot. [Ticket]: General Admission is $7 per person, $5 = military, $3 = 12 & under, and $1 per ostrich feed bowl. [Activity]: Our party got here at 1 PM and there was a line trying to get in, but it was moving pretty quickly. Our party spent 30 minutes doing the following activities - fed ostriches/emus (one bowl was enough), took pictures with a mural wall with ostrich/emu wings, said hi & touched a rabbit (no feeding), and visited the gift shop. They only have portable restrooms here. This is absolutely a must-visit spot and one of the most unique activities anyone can do in California. Do not miss out this destination for anyone visiting Solvang or Santa Barbara (45-minutes drive from downtown).
