Stopped into O’Sullivan’s Courthouse Pub in Dingle on a lazy afternoon, and enjoyed a quiet pint of Guinness.
Forgive the 1 star for food, as I don’t know if they do food or have any food, I didn’t notice anything and was only there for 1 Guinness.
The quiet wasn’t a bad thing - at this time of day we were the only people here. The bar man was friendly, it felt like stepping back in time a little bit as I quietly sat in some local history.
The walls had some fun graffiti, I didn’t have a pen or anything interesting to write, but if I did I may have tried to add something. I loved learning about how things were once upon a time for the courthouse in Dingle.
I walked in purely because my last name was Sullivan, and that seemed as good a reason as any for a beer here.
I think the owners of the Pub are musicians - and the space does look like the sort of place where on the right night, with the right gig on, it would be a great place to be. But as an introvert who had spent the day exploring, I was very happy to be here on a quiet afternoon. Regardless of your surname, or the time of day, if you’re in Dingle and this place is open, consider popping in for a beer - or two, or three.
