Otel' I Khostel Druz'ya Na Bankovskom

Location is great walking distance everywhere, room is clean and has everything you might need for a short stay. We travelled in August so everything was expensive, this place provides value for money. Staff was rude ! People at reception gave me a « last » room for availability with windows facing the street which was loud. When asked to change they said it’s the last room thought clearly I saw other rooms available online. My mum thought she lost a key and they refused to give a new one. I came over 2 min later and with bit more pushy communication they gave Another key. For such a brilliant location owners really need to educate personal a bit more in the areas of hospitality. Otherwise if you ignore all these details was a great stay!

The price of the accomodation is great, even if the room is really really tiny. Overall for one night it was fine, but if you want to stay for a longer period I wouldn't suggest it. -

- They didn’t pay back deposit. This is not acceptable. They are charging and trying to take much money then you have already paid. Maybe hostel good but this is not moral

Clean room was the only positive thing I could find from thid hostel The worst hostel i ever visit. I made a reservation for two night for bouble room. I wanted to rest here alone, but once i entered my room i could here the the voice from a guy the next room. More over there was a karaoke right in front of the hostel and the loud music and the screaming from drunks make me wake up all night. I acutally wake up at 5:30am twice because of noises. It wasn‘t over yet. The worst is there was russian students in the dormitory room and there where runnig and talking at the hally way till 1:30am and knocking the dormintory room‘s door to see their freinds. These noises came in though my door. The door was totally useless. Because of stressful enviroment I had night mares both nights! Thankfully I would never come this hostel again.

I stayed in this hotel for a weeked in October. I was surprised firstly by how clean it was for a hostel / hotel, and secondly how nice the staff was. ||I had a private room, with a shared bathroom. There is also a very nice common place, in which there's a kitchen and tabletop football. Its a nice place to meet other travelers. ||The only complaint i have is that the washing machine didn't work, but that was quickly fixed by the staff since they've let me use theirs.

We booked this hostel because of the many good reviews and its convenient central location. However, the experience was so bad that we moved out during our stay.. ||||It was impossible to get some decent sleep in Friends hostel, in spite of using good earplugs. Our room was reasonably close to the common room, where other guests threw loud parties every night. Even worse, it was not indicated that the hostel is situated opposite to a bar disco that plays extremely loud bass drum music every night until 6 am. It was not possible to change rooms, so after not having slept for a week, we left. ||||Also, the beds were of very poor quality. Naturally, one cannot expect luxury beds in a hostel, but one bed collapsed and the other was put together in a wrong way: the left side being much lower than the right side, which made you roll out off bed continuously. ||||Our room was not very clean but ok. Bathrooms and toilets were a bit smelly but they were cleaned regulary. Common room was fine. Good points of this place are: great central location, friendly (though slow) staff, free tea and a drinking water tap. It's one of the cheapest places in the city center, but even so I do not recommend staying here to anybody who likes to rest and relax a bit on their travels.
