They do a good job of making you feel comfortable and it’s really interesting and fun inside in the rooms. It’s a great way to rejuvenate yourself and your body. I love the cold plunge and sauna but I also appreciate they have tea and a room to just relax in. Everything is very clean and the staff is super friendly

Michael Johnson led tonight’s Unwind session with such grace and intention. His soothing voice and perfectly paced guidance created a space where I felt safe, present, and fully supported. I came seeking meditation and left feeling empowered. His words reminded me that I am powerful and capable, and for the first time in a long time, I truly showed up for myself. With his gentle encouragement, I pushed past my limits. I’ll definitely be back.

Visited NYC this weekend and took the Gratitude class with Aaron and AJ. Wow! Staff were welcoming and knowledgeable from the moment we walked in. The ambience was moody, but not too much thanks to amber lighting and wood paneled walls. Changing rooms were clean and lockers were easy to navigate. Loved how the showers separated the sauna from the cold plunge room to ensure everyone actually rinses off before jumping in. The team leading the class was fantastic. 10/10 would recommend and will be back when I’m in town.

I’ve been going to Othership for the past 2 months (3-4x a week) and I’m obsessed! My favorite sessions are the guided ones, it’s a moment to journey in and reflect. The guides are fantastic, all are so inspiring and passionate about what they do. I’ve also met so many incredible people during my sessions. It’s just an amazing community filled with like minded people. I can’t recommend this enough, this is truly a 75 min gift to yourself away from the chaos of this city! It’s been truly therapeutic and a healing experience for me. I’ve been going to Othership for the past 2 months (3-4x a week) and I’m obsessed! I booked the Guided All Around: Inner Power session led by Tihanna Louise and left feeling incredibly inspired and empowered. Her breathwork and meditation guidance were deeply grounding and uplifting—exactly what I didn’t know I needed. The session flowed beautifully from powerful intention-setting into the sauna and cold plunge, which left me feeling renewed and reset. The facilities at Othership Flatiron are stunning—clean, thoughtfully designed, and full of warmth. I also loved the delicious teas offered post-session, the perfect way to unwind and integrate the experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking to reconnect with themselves, recharge, or just explore a new wellness ritual in a truly beautiful space.

Othership Flatiron was truly a full body transformative experience. The class was one of the most amazing gratitude, breath work sessions with Lindsey and support guide Eli. Othership provides a serene, dimly-lit sanctuary, offering an escape from the busy lifestyle of the city. From the moment I walked in, the aroma immediately calmed, and centered me. The phenomenal front desk ladies that are very inviting, welcoming, and help create a very transformative space. Definitely made me feel at home. Special thanks to Daphne Rose that gave me a an amazing experience at the front desk. The changing room is next level, luxury! Everyone that i met were inspiring with sharing how the state of gratitude, and programming your subconscious mind can change your life. We were all in the same headspace of embracing gratitude. The facilities are super clean, and the aesthetic--dark wood, soft lighting, and natural touches--is designed to soothe. The guided gratitude class combines the thermal benefits of the sauna with focused breathwork. Inside the sauna, the instructor leads a powerful guided visualization, enhanced by aromatherapy. The supportive and calming group energy creates a deep sense of contentment and peace. Thank you again Lindsay, and Eli for everything. The communal tea lounge, is cozy, an ideal for post-session reflection. Thank you Root for keeping the lounge flow great, answering questions, guiding, having cold water ready after the sauna breath work. Fabulous! The ice bath was next level! My body mind, spirit, and nervous system, loved every bit of my experience, and definitely have to bring friends. Othership offers something special for both experienced and first-time sauna users. The class provides a reminder to slow down and appreciate the present moment. Leaving the class leaves a feeling of being reset, refreshed, and grateful. It's recommended to revisit.

Othership feels like a safe haven for me in a busy city like NYC. I come here to reset, expand my inner world, and find a sense of groundedness. The environment is cozy and serene - with beautiful ambient lighting and the smell of essential oils that fill the space. I love that every time I come here, I always leave feeling better than when I arrived. I particularly like the guided classes - which offers support and makes othership different than just any sauna and cold plunge experience. Every staff member I’ve encountered has been incredible, accepting, and welcoming- creating a beautiful community within. I’m so glad to have found this place.

Yelp
I just took the sound immersion class with Valeria and experienced the best way to start a Saturday! It was my first time at othership and I went alone, so I really wasn't sure what to expect. Her class was so welcoming and relaxing. I couldn't last the full two minutes in the cold plunge but felt no judgement or pressure for having to hop out early. I wish the sound immersion class was every Saturday, I would absolutely come back for that but am excited to try other classes as well!

Yelp
Unique space that offers a communal sauna and cold plunge experience. Othership has a warm, intimate vibe. The space is large and natural, cave-like: cedar paneling, riverstone flooring, drapery, moody red‑tinted lighting. You can have a more guided or independent experience depending on your preference, though it is certainly a shared space with a social bent. I went on a Friday and it began to get much more crowded and lively as the evening went on. If you're interested in a quiet experience, daytime /weekdays are best.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to spend my time, ever. I am a frequent enjoyer of their free flows but just started going to classes which have been so life-giving. I want to check out more! It's like a spa that indulges so many child-like wonders through components like essential oils and beautiful sound accompaniments. 10/10 love Othership

Yelp
I stopped by for first time around lunchtime on a weekday. I'm no veteran to sauna/cold dips but have gone to a few especially internationally. Clean, good music, the human guides are helpful with their knowledge but not pushy. Like the teas and water cups. Front desk and staff generally are super friendly. Convenient location. Pricing is OK but definitely not a steal (I booked via classpass) Wish the cold "tubs" were deeper than 1.8M. Also some of the people in the "quiet lounge" are disrespectful and having full loud conversations. Also wish there was more variety but I understand the limitations of NYC space. Sessions are 75min in total which is fair but lean towards longer spas. Worth a try! You will definitely feel great and relaxed after

Yelp
Supposedly the biggest sauna in the US originating in Toronto, this is such a unique experience as a combination of sauna and a cold plunge! I enjoy saunas but this was my first ever cold plunge, just because it's not something that normally appeals to me. If you're looking for a very specific, group oriented experience, this could be cool. You enter and immediately it's all dim lighting and dark wood. They check you in and give you 2 towels, one to bring with you and one for after, and a wristband that indicates that you're a first timer. There's a big women's changing space where you leave your shoes near the door and your coat as well. It's quite spacious with several bathrooms as well, but it seemed like just 1 shower within the changing space. Once you're in your bathing suit, you walk into a large open area, bleachers style and again this is group guided experience so you pretty much chat or drink some water and tea that they provide until everyone in that session is arrived and prepared. I believe the space accommodates up to 60-70 people, both women and men. Then you're guided into the sauna, which is a half circle and you can take a seat on 1 of 3 tiers, the tallest being hottest and the lowest closer to the huge container of hot coals. It can be dark in here while the instructor takes you through the experience, with some strobe / colorful lighting. They have snowballs of essential oils they toss on the coals and waft it to you with towels. Then depending on where you're sitting you enter the cold plunge room in groups, while the other groups stay in the sauna. There's 4 groups and they take you to rinse off in a big communal before entering the cold plunge. My big mistake was walking to the closest one on the left not realizing it said "Coldest", meanwhile there were one that said "Cold". Some can fit 4 people, others 2. It was very very very cold. It's 4 dips of 30 seconds each, 10 seconds out of the water in between. Honestly I bailed after the 2nd dip, it was just so cold! Everyone goes back into the sauna for a bit after, to chat. I left towards the beginning of this to run to work but again note there is just 1 shower in the women's changing space. I think this would be a great group experience for someone that's looking for a cathartic session with friends instead of the normal happy hour or hang out session. I'd come again for sure. They give you a little incense stick when you leave as a parting gift which is a nice touch!

Yelp
I had to go check out what the craze was about so I took a Guided All Around: Heart Opener class at Othership today, not quite knowing what to expect but going in with an open mind. I'd never really experienced a sauna before, nor had I ever attempted a cold bath. The experience began with a 20-minute session in the sauna, led by our instructor, Lindsey. I was surprised by how soothing it felt to be in the sauna (I personally don't like sweaty environments) and allowing a wave of calm to wash over me. As the heat settled in, so did a mix of emotions--mainly a deep sense of happiness. A few moments of sadness but it's all part of the class and I want you to experience it so I won't mention what was discussed in the class. Next came the cold bath, something I was both curious and excited about. It was a guided experience, and we were encouraged to stay in for up to two minutes. Stepping into the icy water was a shock to the system at first, but as my body adjusted, I found an unexpected tranquility. The cold melted away my tension, leaving me in a state of mindblowing peace. After the cold bath, we returned to the sauna for a brief segment before entering free-flow time. Here, we could choose to either linger in the warmth or brave another round of the cold bath. Naturally, I couldn't resist going for a second dip. I did read reviews that mentioned how crowded it could be, but I didn't mind--it added to the communal energy of the experience (in a flaming way). They also provide two towels and have spaces to shower in between and after the class, complete with body wash and shampoo, which was a nice touch. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Would I do it again? Absolutely--if they offer discounts in the future. For now, though, I'm saving up and can't quite justify making this a weekly indulgence. But that's just me; I noticed many regulars who seemed to thrive on attending these sessions more frequently.

Yelp
What an amazingly unique experience! Perfect for a date, grief support, couples, friends, or solo. Single ladies, don't fret it's neither a ladies club nor a creepy place. It's on a calm, quiet street and as soon as you walk into the building the environment is even calmer given the dark ambiance, deep color scheme, and soft spoken, warm smiling staff. Hilay and her partner leading the Rose Bud Thorn experience were both so relaxing, supportive, and informative every step of the way. For the fellow Christian's out there who are concerned about spiritual conflicts of this, I invited two Christian friends with me and we prayed before & during reflective moments - it's not as you may assume. Everything was pretty and the scents remained on our body which was an unforgettable lovely fragrance. The teas were wonderful. I wished they were ingredient labeled. I'd love to collab with my women's organization TheWEN and also Yelp Elite. I will be sharing this with everyone. It was beautiful and rejuvenating. Go, enjoy!!!!!

Yelp
I tried Othership for the first time recently, which was my first time ever doing a sauna and cold plunge experience! My friends and I signed up for a Free Flow session, which are unguided. The space is brand new with a dim, relaxing ambiance. Upon checking in, you enter a locker room where you put away your shoes. Changing rooms are available to change into your swimsuit. After the locker room you enter the tea room, a communal space with benches to hang out and relax. On one side of the facility is the sauna, which is large and can fit dozens of people inside. It's a bit of a "party sauna" vibe in that you are welcome to talk and there is music playing in the background. Every so often, a guide will come in and do a short session such as seated stretches. After the sauna, you have to briefly rinse off in the open showers before heading to the cold plunge. There are a couple of pools for either 2 or 4 people. We had a wonderful guide who led us through some breathing exercises and helped us get through 2 minutes in the cold plunge. She was honestly amazing and even did a short sound bath for us afterwards! The Free Flow session allows you to rotate between the sauna and cold plunge at your own pace, so we did them twice. In the tea room there are also cubbies for you to store your water bottles and towels, as well as water fountains and tea bags. Unfortunately the hot water tap was not working when I was there. Amenities wise they provide showers, toiletries, and two towels (one to sit on in the sauna, and one to dry off at the end). They also provide plastic bags to store your wet swimsuit after your session, but the bags are very thin and don't keep the moisture in very well (I would recommend bringing your own dry bag).

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! After so much buzz on socials, I figured I'd give it a try. From the moment you walk in you feel relaxed. The sauna was very social so it's a great place to meet people or just go with friends. They also come in to do breath worth every so often which was nice. The cold plunges were also great. Loved that there were instructors there that were so willing to guide you. Only reason I didn't give this place a 5 stars was because of how small the locker rooms are.

Yelp
I was meaning to try Othership for a long time and finally had the chance to go last week to an A-Z Emotions Class with Lindsay Hunt. I didn't really know what to expect but I went in with an open mind. The space is truly beautiful and smells amazing. There are locker rooms to change, showers and bathrooms to use. Othership also provides tea and water throughout the space. The class initially meets in the common room, which is stadium style seating with comfortable cushions. There, the instructor explained how the class would go. From there, class began in the sauna which is a short walk down the hall. We stayed in the sauna for about 20 minutes doing breath work and discussing various emotions. We also were able to share our experiences if we wanted to. The instructors used different essential oils thrown into the sauna to evoke different moods and then waved towels so we could smell them from our seats. The sauna seats are also stadium style and the higher you sit, the warmer you will feel. I believe the emotions we discussed were - anger, bravery, despair and compassion. We also did vocal releases with each emotion discussed. Afterward, we were told to shower off (nothing crazy - you keep your bathing suit on and take a quick rinse under the common area showers they have). That is when we went to the ice bath portion. I have never been able to do an ice plunge so I was nervous. Depending on your pool, there are 2-4 people per pool. The instructor does deep breathing exercises with you to count you off going into the pool. The best tip is not to slowly dip yourself in because your body will retract and you will not be able to get fully in! On the count of the instructor, most of us in the class just went for it and quickly went into the ice bath. It is certainly a shock to the system. The instructor is coaching you throughout. You are supposed to stay in the ice bath for 2 minutes, but most of the class exited the ice bath between the 30 second-1 minute mark. It is not easy to stay in the ice bath at all!! I think I made it to 30 seconds and then I had to listened to my body and get out of there! Initially, my feet felt like they were in shock and could not move. I wrapped myself in a towel and sat on the bench with some of the other classmates. As you are warming up, you do feel really great after the ice bath. It was an interesting experience to do an ice bath and even though it was very hard to stay in the water, the feelings afterward are pretty amazing. After the ice baths, we went back into the sauna for about another 15-20 minutes of breathwork and sharing stories. The last 15 minutes of class are given to use as 'free time' to go back into the ice bath, relax or stay in the sauna. This was an intense experience, but well worth the try. Individual classes are kind of pricey at $66 including tax, but I will try anything once. They do have open 'free flow' sessions that are not in a class format that allow you to use the space as you choose - i.e taking as many ice baths as you want or using the sauna as many times as you want within a 75 minute period. Some people may roll their eyes at some of the breathwork, vocal releases and the content of the classes but I find it to be interesting and it definitely sparked my curiosity. I would give Othership another try when I am mentally prepared for another ice bath (although I don't think much mental preparation can help you prepare - you just have to go for it).

Yelp
If you like guided experiences this will be fun! Bring a friends or come by yourself and bathing suit with change of clothes. The venue is beautiful with lockers, showers and waiting area. The inside has a dry sauna, shower section, lounge and ice bath. There are various classes you can take. You can buy credits on their website and book session online as well. This was my first visit and my friend got me into the most intense class my first time ( maybe not the best for everyone ) they have more relaxing and also self guided experiences as well. We did a rotation of dry sauna and ice bath for a total of 3 times. The whole experience in general was very positive. The instructors were great and honestly I've never don't a once bath before in my life but it was a lot of fun and very encouraging to do it with everyone. Definitely recommend stopping by if you enjoy guided classes!

Yelp
I signed up for Othership's 14-day unlimited pass and stuck to the Free Flow classes for the most part. I prefer a quiet sauna, and I read online that most of their sessions are meant to be social. I tried my best to book non-peak times (their booking app shows you how many people are scheduled for any particular session), but the sauna still felt very busy with people speaking loudly and people constantly going in and out of the room. The busyness of the room made it a bit difficult to relax. The highlights of the sessions are when the guides come in and add aromatherapy snowballs into the heat. The different blends, like sage and basil or lavender and eucalyptus, fill the room and transport me to another place. It's so soothing and refreshing. I absolutely loved the cold plunge. I started off with 30 seconds and worked my way up to 2 full minutes. The time goes by surprisingly quick once you are fully submerged. And once you get out, you feel awake and ready to take on the day. The space itself is beautiful; there is a relaxation room you can hang out in in between your sauna and cold plunge sessions, and there is a station where you can get tea and water. I accidentally signed up for the Sound Immersion guided session with Valeria one Saturday morning and it blew me away! I do guided meditations often, and this class felt like the ultimate guided meditation. The sound bowls, gong, instruments (including Valeria's soothing voice) and aromatherapy really took the class to another level. The session was so impactful and relaxing, I was walking on cloud 9 for the rest of the weekend. I would highly recommend the Sound Immersion class for anyone needing a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle of NYC!

Yelp
I attended the love and empathy session ... with some coworkers so that was very interesting haha. I love a good sauna and ice bath venue, but this was definitely my first time trying something like this. It's a more social crowd than I'm used and the sauna gets pretty packed. It was definitely easier to sit through the sauna with no break as they talked us through breathing. The ice bath was tricky bc you have to share with others. I personally like sticking through for as long as possible (3+mins) and it's harder to do with other people moving in the water/getting in and out early etc so be wary. Keen to try again and bring my friends / make new friends!

Yelp
People giving this four stars make me wanna scream. There is nothing like this in Manhattan, and I think it's just remarkable. Are there things that could be better? Perhaps, but again, find me anything remotely like this in New York City that is run as nicely, clean, with amazing staff, and I'll get your next class. Just an incredible experience of the mind body and soul. Just go! Bring a friend or two and challenge yourself.

Yelp
I took class here with AJ and Regina, and if I could give these two an 11 out of 10, I would. I laughed, I danced, I cried, I evolved. I cannot wait to be back and experience the magic. AJ does such an incredible job in creating a safe, yet vulnerable environment to explore our inner minds. He roots his sharings in science, yet can relate everything to spiritual elements. He is a masterclass in creating an experience that can resonate with everyone. Regina is incredibly intuitive, kind, and does an excellent job using music as a tool to go deeper within.

Yelp
STRANGE : felt like an overpriced cult/ White Lotus vibes. People inside were a wearing sauna hat, and when I asked about them, I was told you've had to go to an insane amount of sessions given the price point. Rhythmic dancing by staff as they blow air on you and lead through meditation. All felt very performative and straight out of a someone's imagination. Not worth the price

Yelp
Beautiful model spot for sauna and cold plunge. Once you get into the facility, put your shoes on the shoes rack and your belongings into locker. Get change and walk into the waiting area or straight to the sauna room. For the guided class, there is a guide sauna session, cold plunge and closing. I was late for the guided sauna session, so I had to wait until the session end to get into the sauna room. They do provide icy aroma towel at the end of the sauna session. That should be very refreshing You'll get your group number before your cold plunge. You fellow your group number and wait for the call to shower area before the guided cold plunge. After the plunge, you are welcome back to the room for last 5 minutes group closing session. Make sure you are on time for your guided class. They do provide you iced water and hot water, tea bags (anti inflammatory, clarity and detox) on the free flow class. I didn't see it in the guided class ( might be it's because it was a full class and the risk of spilling hot water might be increased). It's a good experience for guided class but I'll enjoy the free flow class more when it's not too crowded.

Yelp
After seeing videos online and reading about the space and intentionality behind the experiences I was very eager to visit. Othership did not disappoint, it was a profound experience with all the social wellness elements one could hope for. The sauna is a one of a kind and the other features are beautifully executed. I can't wait to return to NYC to visit again and meet more amazing people at the sauna social !

Yelp
I'm a ex employee of this place and I have to be honest with you all.this place is like a cult.and they don't care about their employees.i gotten hurt and was out for a few days and instead of seeing if I'm okay, they fired me.this place sucks for real!
