Otherside

Had a really unpleasant experience with the bartender here just before Chinati Weekend. She was unfriendly while taking our order—fine, probably just a bad day, no worries—but then she, along with a very intoxicated friend of hers who had just walked in, outright berated someone in our group for walking the wrong way for the bathroom. The bathrooms are not marked clearly, and we saw other people visibly struggle to identify where they were, much to the bartender’s annoyance. She was sarcastic and rude as she acted like we were total idiots for not being able to find the unmarked bathroom. This space is really cool and the drinks were good, but I think I’ll be avoiding it in the future and go to the Spirit Co or Planet Marfa instead, where we’ve always been treated in a lovely manner.

It's quite simply the best bar in town. Great selection of spirits, fun speakeasy vibes, and right in the heart of town. A weekend evening isn't complete with a night cap at Otherside.

We popped in during our trip to Marfa and really enjoyed the overall vibe and set up of the bar. The cocktails were tasty and Taylor was a great bartender. We will definitely come back!
