Honestly wasn’t sure what to expect with this place but it was so much fun! Parking out front filled up pretty quickly but there are plenty of places to park around the side of the building and in the Giant parking lot adjacent to the venue. Drink selection was a little limited but nothing to take a star away from. They have a monitored coatcheck for like $3 which is great in the winter. Bathrooms were clean and plentiful.

This place was so cool, but hard to explain if you haven’t been. It was entertaining for the whole family, and I deeply regret not buying a Kevin Jr. stuffie while I was there. If you’re looking to kill a few hours and experience some incredible interactive art, this is a great place to check out.

Otherworld Philadelphia is an unforgettable immersive experience. Every room feels like a different universe — full of light, sound, color, and emotion. You completely lose track of time while exploring. The atmosphere is creative, surreal, and visually stunning. There are so many details to discover, and it’s perfect for photos. Great for adults, kids, and anyone who loves art, technology, and unique experiences. If you’re looking for something truly different to do in Philadelphia, this place is a must-visit. I would absolutely come back again ✨

VERY Cool! Worth the money. Encouraged to buy tickets ahead of time and online. Sooo many rooms to look through. Place is huge! Could use some TLC in a few rooms but overall - it’s a blast! So many photo opportunities. Great for kids or adults. Takes plenty of time to walk through. Easy and free parking, it’s in a Plaza.

We've been to a few of these experience places (mainly in Japan), that immerce you through your senses; walking through water, padded flooring, with (of course) lights, sound and touch and smells. This experience is mainly focused on lights, sound and visual / sci-fi - 5 stars for creativity, the place is amazing! Many rooms with themes and exciting emotional interactions, I would give more stars if it was more immercive.

Otherworld is an amazing example of how to level up an escape room into a 4 hour visually awesome experience. While you can go for the aesthetics, it is really a clever series of puzzles that require layers of interaction with the environment, paying attention to your surroundings as you look for clues, and doing so in combination with the other people who are there. I went with my 24yo daughter expecting some kind of psychedelic interactive art show, but after about a half hour it all kind of resonated, which I then confirmed by asking one of the floating employees. The amazing thing is, most of the people there had no idea what it was about and how to work toward the puzzle part! I suspect people would have a much better time if they had an FAQ that kind of outlined things for visitors... ****PSUEDO SPOILER ALERT**** As an example, there is a music DJ room. On the wall are instructions, which when done correctly, show you a 4x4 grid of symbols. You have to then go into other rooms (which another poster provides you with a hint of what rooms you need to interface with) and find the symbols. Some of them were in mostly plain site, but some were hidden behind yet another interactive puzzle like an Ice Cream monster looking thing that you had to move levers in the right order to get to...so expand that out by 50 rooms, 4 sub puzzles with 16 sub sub puzzles, only to get the key to the master puzzle and you get an idea of how it all works. Point being, if you like escape rooms, hate the timer on the escape rooms, and want a fully immersive visual and sound experience, you have to do this... Also, you do not need the upgrade package with the glasses. They actually were out of them...so no one in the building had them.

My lady and I went here to outer world it was a nice Saturday weather wise. First time going here they had some cool rooms that I like but I expected to be a little better than what it was. If you like art and lighting different lights this is good for you to go or either with someone.

This place was really dope!! It has interactive elements, very psychedelic, top tier sound effects. Our ages ranged 44, 25, and 6 and we all enjoyed the experience, I did think it was slightly pricey but overall would visit again! This a great place to bring kids, have a date night, or just hanging with friends.

I've always loved exhibits and attractions like these! The storyline and puzzles here were not clear at all though - even the employee who scanned our tickets said it was really confusing and to ask other employees inside for help (though we couldn't find any employees once we were in there). We weren't sure where to even begin and many others looked confused along the way. In the end, we gave up and just wandered through all the rooms, which was still fun! There are lots of interactive rooms and segments so it was enjoyable. If you want a similar but much better organized experience, visit Meow Wolf! I loved the one in Las Vegas.

Was looking for an activity to do in the area with a 3-yr old and discovered this place through internet search. The reviews seemed great so was looking forward to this. First off, the price of the tickets is quite expensive for the experience. We were in and out in about an hour, granted we had a 2-yr old with us, who wasn't that interested in the exhibit. We paid $80 for 2 adults. It was more like a $40 experience to us. With that said, apparently there is an adventure/puzzle part to the exhibit which we did not take advantage of so perhaps if you don't have children, that could be captivating. Everyone said that this place had IG-worthy pictures, and while you could tell the there was a lot of time and effort put into building the exhibit, aesthetically, I've seen much better. The art there is unique to say the least, but it also wasn't the most kid-friendly space. I could perhaps see this place being fun for a group of friends, but it's definitely not a "want to go back" type of place.

This was a lot of fun. I wish the puzzles and stuff were explained a little bit better, but we still had a great time exploring all the rooms and doing the holiday present scavenger hunt. This place reminded me a lot of Meow Wolf in Vegas on a much smaller scale. We were there for about an hour and a half, but I imagine if you had kids who wanted to touch everything you might be there longer.

Wowzers! I went back after 2 years and it was just as awesome. Yes, some exhibits have been updated/changed but the core ones remain. One thing that was really cool was the new chrome glasses that give a slight kaleidoscope effect when you look through them. It was an extra $2 as of the writing of this post but was worth it! The price for admission was about $50ish per person but I felt like it was worth it. We spent hours in here and had just as much fun as the first time. I would really like to see more items in the gift shop though. OW really missed opportunities on that front. The gift shop also has some cool items such as a mechanical cotton candy and ice cream machine. You pop your money in and poof--there's your fancy pants cotton candy shaped like a flower. The wow factor of watching it be made is super cool!

A spectacle for the senses!!! We loved it so much the only little negative is that they provided 3d glasses and mentioned the hourly light show but not that you should wear them throughout the experience. I saw so many people without the glasses and they are integral to the amazing experience, guaranteed the negative reviews were from people who did not wear them.

I really enjoyed my time at Other World. I came here with my niece and nephew and we all had a great time. Other World is an interactive indoor experience that has over 50 rooms of colorful and eye catching displays. Its great for a creative photo op and once you enter the experience you can explore the rooms for as long as you want. We stayed for about 2 hours. Overall tickets are 35.00 a piece and I felt like it was worth it. My family and I will definetly have lifelong memories of Other World!!

This was an experience I'll say that. The rooms weren't bad a tad creepy - with the clowns and tall god like sculptures - but overall very interactive. One and done, I thought it'll be bigger because of the price but whoopty do...

Who doesn't like a challenge with insta worthy images. This was my second time to Other World. It is so interesting with its trippy lights and vibe. It also offers a massive puzzle which is really hard to figure out (in my opinion). You can spend hours if not days trying to figure out the clues. This place even offers a yearly pass for the detectives in the family. The place has events they offer that seem pretty interesting such as yoga, etc. I took my friend who was visiting from Florida here and she really enjoyed the experience. She enjoyed it so much she might just come back to experience Other World.

Other World is a family friendly experience that everyone can enjoy! Located in Northeast Philly, it was about a half hour drive from my house. The exhibit is a lot larger than I thought it was going to be so took us over 1 hour to get through but you can definitely spend a lot more time than we did. Other World transports you to literally another world which very cool and interesting creatures and spaces to explore. There's a room that's completely fuzzy and mazes and rabbit holes to climb. It's so interactive and fun! This would be a great date night activity as well.

Took my kids to explore this place and it is definitely worth the visit! It's it the experience with so much to see and experience. I loved exploring each room and getting lost while making sure we saw each room. There's a sort of scavenger hunt which we couldn't quite figure out, but they said we could ask people who worked there about it. We chose not to interact with anyone and just enjoy the scenes. The restrooms are unisex which was different and the gift shop was pretty lame, but aside from that It is worth the visit.

I went to Other World with a group of 7. I had no idea what to expect but ended up having a great time. I really enjoyed how each of the spaces were so different but all connected. I would recommend this to others but probably wouldn't go back unless there were new rooms to see. We had to empty our water bottles as no outside food or drink was allowed.

This was an amazing experience. We took the kids here for for a unique experience. You can get lost and spend a few hrs in the place. We had a great experience with Miriam who went above and beyond to helping us at the gift shop when we were looking for some extra pins as well. There was also Lanice who was so nice explaining the place & answering questions we had. Overall this is something I would highly recommend experiencing with family or friends. Extremely clean and well kept as well. We will definitely be back again.

Had tickets for this for almost 1 year as we were waiting for the hype to die down. Finally went during our week off and were very disappointed. The website stated that it would take about 3 hours to walk through but it really only took us 30 minutes. Each room was very different and it really felt like you were in a different world. Almost stranger things like. Definitely would recommend if you are a social media person as the interesting pictures you could take in each room would be many. I also wish it was a bit more interactive. Definitely could be a bit better and longer. Young children might get freaked out by some of the rooms. Also anyone sensitive to strobing lights should not attend.

I went here with my friend and we had a great time! I almost wish there were more hidden rooms to give customers more of a challenge to find all of the rooms. I also wish there were more games to play to make the experience more fulfilling because it was more of a museum kind of experience. It was still very fun and interesting, and is a great place to take pictures.

This is way too expensive to be more than a one or two time experience. Despite the price it was a very unique art exhibit and experience. I feel like they had an adequate amount of interactive experiences for the price and all the team members were friendly. It just doesn't seem like something worth the price tag.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. It has something for everyone if you're into unexpected yet intriguing adventures. I would have given it 5 stars but there's a code or ultimate puzzle that a little more guidance from staff would have been helpful. Overall , we had fun

This place is really cool and unique. The sounds and the amazing lights are really nice. They have interactive areas. You most definitely can capture a lot of photos while there. We were there for over an hour.

This was something different to do, and I am glad I experienced it; however, it was a one and done activity for me. The exhibits were interesting and different, however there is no guidance or even mention that there are puzzles involved or how to solve or look for clues. If we hadn't gone with people who have been there before, we would have walked around for an hour or so and then left. I think there needs to be some sort of guidance or explanation before you enter the exhibit.

I love psychedelic stuff and this was just meh, and I wouldn't go again. There was only one room I absolutely loved (the light/laser game thingy), but the rest was sort of corny. It was a cheap experience not commensurate with the price. Something for the kiddies.

I've been on an immersive art kick these past couple of years, and social media seems to know as such. I received so many ads for Other World as soon as I arrived in the Philly area to visit family over the holidays. The ads worked, and on the last day of 2023, I made my way to Northeast Philly with a couple others. We purchased timed tickets for 11:15 am in advance, and while not cheap, the exhibit delivers value for the money. Parking is free on-site. While there were other people there, it wasn't an overwhelming number. There was rarely a time that I'd have to wait to snap a photo to get a clean shot of the art, so that was great. After stopping to admire many of the rooms, it took our group roughly an hour to see everything. It was sensory overload around every corner, with really thought-out art pieces and interactive displays. If you were on "something," I imagine this would be insane to check out. It is really like an adult playground. Apparently, there is a puzzle to solve too, but we weren't aware of that. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're looking for an out-of-the-norm or rainy-day experience.

Always wanted to go and finally I did. It took us about 2 hours to see everything. I didn't know what to expect but quite amazing. If you're into interactive art or art in general then this is the place for you. Very unique experience - I enjoyed all the lights, exhibits, music & visuals. Once is enough and you will never forget it! They have a cute gift shop you can buy souvenirs. Fun time!

I had such an amazing time. It reminded me of seismique in Houston. It's a huge maze like art installation that's mind bending. There are several rooms you can explore and they are all connected to each other, have different entrances so depending where you go you see something totally different. There's a dj booth & a shooting game & more. I would definitely recommend for people of all ages.

My family and I came here on a Sunday after seeing it on Instagram. It's located in a shopping complex with a relatively decent parking lot. The staff was friendly but I had no clue there was a puzzle that needed to be solved until later. I do think the staff should explain a little bit more in depth what to expect. It was definitely out of the world and my kids enjoyed the different rooms. We spent about 75 minutes here. I do find it to be a little on the expensive side. There is a shop to buy a variety of things. Overall, definitely a fun family activity.

I recently took an out-of-town visitor to Otherworld Philadelphia, hoping for an unforgettable experience based on all the hype. I purchased the Premium Flax Pack, and we arrived around 11:00 am. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly, but unfortunately, the instructions were sparse. We were told, "The story and what you need to do will become clear as you go through," which, sadly, never happened. After almost two hours, neither the story nor the purpose of our actions became clear. There were other groups there, including couples and families with children, and while many of them were saying "how awesome" the experience was, no one I spoke to seemed to know what to do either. The glasses provided added a blurry, prismatic effect, but neither of us found them enjoyable. While the walkthrough itself was intriguing, the lack of clear direction and true interactive elements made it feel more like a puzzle without a solution. In the end, we didn't find the experience worth the time or the travel from South Jersey. While I understand I'm likely in the minority, this wasn't the experience I was hoping for, and it definitely didn't live up to the hype. I did not post photos so that it doesn't spoil anything for anyone who might go...

We visited OTHERWORLD and it was an incredible impression! Immersion in each hall is like a journey to another world. The atmosphere, light, sound - everything is at the highest level. I especially liked the interactive installations - it was fun for both adults and children. The staff is very friendly and helpful when needed. We will definitely come back again to explore what we didn't have time to do! A great place for a family out or a meeting with friends. I highly recommend it!

My husband brought me here for my birthday. It was great for the family. So many different rooms me and the kids had so much fun

The Otherworld was an interesting experience. I greatly appreciated the time and attention to detail in the artwork. From an "immersive and interactive art" perspective, I felt it fell flat. The museum requires timed tickets and I was surprised how empty it was at 2:30pm on a Saturday. There were no lines and there were areas in the exhibits where we were the only ones. While I was grateful to have space to maneuver, it seemed odd to have that much space. It was nice to see they had hand sanitizing stations throughout as well. 45 minutes was enough time for us to tour the Otherworld. I encourage you to experience it for yourself!

Went with a few friends to the Other World in NE Philadelphia. There's a lot of auditory and visual stimuli like bright flashing lights, masks, stuffed figures/some alien-like plushies, stuff hanging from ceilings that look like tentacles, some computer stuff like screens you input combinations into to try to trigger a password in the room. Most of it was fine for me, but some rooms like the flashing lights were a bit unpleasant to wade through. I think the idea of it could be fun (and was made better with having frineds), but I didn't love it. Most of the puzzles were just "find an icon on a wall" with the occasional "find the combination of levers/buttons to press in this room to get an icon", then inputting the icons in specific rooms to unlock a sequence of numbers/colors to solve the final puzzle. However, in essence, this results in you just looking for the small icon in rooms...and there's not much of a puzzle aspect - it's closer to a "where's waldo" instead of using logic/deduction in most cases. There's some that have a barebones puzzle like an ice cream room that we had to find the recipe combination, but they still aren't the kind of puzzles I like. And it's not that exciting or fun to just look for an icon in my opinion. Then even though there was some computers to input stuff, most rooms had no interaction - you just looked, saw some (sometimes obnoxious flashing) lights, then moved on. I also think the explanation and QR code sheet could've been better. For example, the icon they show for the mask room doesn't actually match up with most of the masks. Then for the room with circles and lines, there were 2 that had the same number of circles and lines and were only oriented differently, but one of the solution's was rotated while the others were not rotated. And there were some computer ones that I had weren't working or scanning properly either. The final solution we solved unlocked a storyline/message but it was blasting and unclear to hear at parts, plus very few follow the storyline. Lastly, the place is a bit expensive for what you get (prob 2-3h of "fun" tops).

Everything about the place is amazing. If you have time to kill definitely check this place out, I was there for hours just amazed at all of the surrounding areas they have there

We had a great time making our way through this interactive art exhibit. There are so many rooms to explore with secret passageways and puzzles to solve. The puzzles are difficult to find and solve, but overall it's a cool place to explore and spend an hour or two!

Whaaaaat the hell is going on here? The place is mind-blowing, cutting edge, and absolutely fascinating. I came with my son and his buddy when their doors opened at 11 AM. That was great bc the crowds were minimal and it was easier to experience each room in the maze and start piecing together the story. My sons thought the place was super cool with its wild visual design and interesting spaces galore. In many ways, it is like taking kids to see great art, where the concepts sailed over their heads but they internalize the artistic possibilities. Since I had to keep an eye on my boys, I was not able to explore each room enough. I estimate I left with about a 50% understanding of the storyline. I will be back. Likely alone or with other adults.

Super cool place. Weird vibe, bright colorful interactive displays for grown ups and older kids. Younger ones may be frightened. The interactive displays bring out the child in everyone. You can see the whole exhibit in about an hour and there are some discount codes online.

Other World has so many different rooms with all kinds of different vibes. I went with a group of friends and we had so much fun! Every time we thought we went into every room we found another one. We spent hours here and cannot wait to go back!

I went to Meow Wolf in Las Vegas, so once I heard about Otherworld I knew I had to come! I absolutely love immersive experiences like these. I came with my boyfriend, for two of us it was about $75 after tax. Arrived 15 minutes earlier than our scheduled time and they let us in. You can take two routes to start your journey, but you must start in the room to the right and to follow the "mystery" and understand the story. We didn't know this, so we didn't follow the clues. Each room has a different theme with interactive activities; it's very well thought out. There was no staff walking around inside the exhibits, and it was very slow for a Friday at 7pm (keep in mind, we also came on Black Friday). We definitely had fun, and went through a second time to make sure we saw everything. Compared to Meow Wolf, I feel like this was a one and done experience. I would definitely recommend it though!

Otherworld is an immersive art experience, but it also has some cool interactive elements. There's a dozen rooms inside that offer things to do, be it a two-player Asteroid game, or a PC with e-mails to browse through, or a DJ booth at an ethereal rave. It's impressive enough with the art design/direction, but there's also a game aspect to the whole place with hidden glyphs. We didn't get that far into it, but did watch others try to figure these out. There is some depth here for repeat visits. And there's plenty of photo ops, if that's your thing, too. Went on a Saturday morning and spent around two hours walking around inside. For entry, we paid extra for the "flex" tickets, which do not rely on timed entry. This turned out to be a big benefit, as there was a noticeable surge of new guests when the hour rolled around. There's no map or "app" for this experience, you figure it out as you go. I noticed a lot of families, and the wall of plushies at the gift shop suggests a large kid following. But Otherworld could appeal to anyone with an open mind.

I mean I would have to say this place was WILD! Took our kids and mother in law here. Everyone had a great time and the experience was trippy. I felt like I probably should have done some sort of drug before walking through it all. There isn't a really understanding of what you're looking at. It's all just very trippy.

Since my trip to Omega Marts in Vegas, immersive arts has become somewhat of my newfound addiction. Now that Otherworld Philly has opened, I knew I had to go and check it out. As soon as I walked in, I was not disappointed. In fact, I was mesmerized, fascinated, and psychedelically thrilled by all the out-of-this-world arts that play on the blurring the lines between the reality and fantasy. To those who are aimless wanderers, the interactive feature of many room's displays will be entertaining enough to keep you amused for hours. The maze-like paths that interconnects and diverges at various points will also keep you wondering where the next step will take you on your journey within this labyrinthian wonderland. Make sure to always keep a lookout for hidden paths while you're there, or you might miss out on a room lurking behind a curtain or a crawl space right in front of your eyes. For those who are seekers with the itch to know more of "what, where, when, and why?", fret not; there IS a storyline behind Otherworld for you to follow. In fact, the computer in the office/library room has loads of information for you to divulge in. Once you have an idea of what to look out for, some of the displays will make more sense of why they're there. Regardless of whether you're a wanderer or a seeker, Otherworld is definitely worth a visit. I'm still a die-hard Meow-wolfer, but I'll still keep an eye out for thirteenth floor entertainment group's projects from now on.

My husband and I finally got around to checking out Otherworld last month. After visiting Omega Mart in Vegas, we didn't think anything could top that experience. But Otherworld exceeded expectations. This exhibition proved to be even more immersive than Omega Mart and makes Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience laughable. You walk into one installation after another (the space is very efficiently used), which is a great way to keep you immersed. The artists really did a fantastic job. Somehow, a storyline does link these installations together, but that is hidden in clues you need to look for, which we did not do. The only thing that could have made Otherworld better is having a better souvenir shop and a speakeasy bar. We spent a couple of hours in there exploring and re-exploring all the rooms. It is a playground for people of all ages. I still can't believe we lucked out with a cool exhibit like this in Northeast Philly.

We had a fun time once we were made aware of what you can and should do there. The cashiers at the front didn't let us know anything other than we can touch things and to have fun. We had no idea there are four puzzles to solve each with four clues spread out through the exhibit. Once we knew we had a lot more fun. Also, we didn't know one exhibit gave the setting of the story that the exhibit reflects. The guides on the floor were all nice and friendly. It's a fun experience but make sure you ask questions when you go in. Also, be prepared, it's $35 a person but they do have a discount for military members. Not sure what the children's admission price is. Looking for something a little different, check them out!

This was SO much fun. Very whimsical and wacky, I felt like a kid again ! My only downfall is we could not figure out any of the puzzles whatsoever, except for the one that the worker told us was the hardest one. We got it right away, but couldn't figure out any of the other room puzzles.

Not worth the time nor money. Seemed more like a craft version or attempt of an interactive experience. Think of faux fur and faux plants bought from a craft shop and glued to walls. Maybe 2 or 3 rooms that were actually interactive and/or interesting out of the so called 50+. Everything else left you wondering what was the point?

It is an Immersive attraction. I've always wanted to experience one and happy that it's local. Went on a Saturday and I thought it was quite surprisingly that there were not a lot of attendees. Plenty of time to roam freely and interact many different rooms. Very cool, unique, and sensory creative. Also family friendly. Makes a nice selfie backdrop too.

It's a must go if your in and fun for all ages we enjoyed exploring all the spaces just wish we understood the storyline a bit more. Great photo ops for sure!

Pretty cool place. Waaaaaaaay overpriced at $40pp!!!! Not worth that... try for a Groupon and then maybe it would have been worth it.

This randomly popped up on instagram before they even opened. I hoped it'd be open when we were going to Philly a few months later and I jumped to buy tickets once I could and yay we could go. This place was awesome. Coolest place we've probably ever been for something like this. Was the highlight of our trip. My son was a little scared as we got into it but then didn't want to leave. He also managed to on his first try win a spider from the claw machine :P which he then broke that night (yup) This place made me really want to go to more places like it but sadly they all seem to be further west (none in NY seriously?) If in the area or even from NY like us I'd highly recommend going.

Sold presale tickets and won't honor them. For some reason there's a cut off date of when you can get the deal that you paid for. Pretty scummy when you support a business before it's even built and then they don't honor that support. Customer service was unhelpful.

Definitely unique and even somewhat bizarre. It was a good trip and something fun to do and see at least once.

This is one of my favorite museums to go to because it is so interactive and unique. It literally felt like if I was in another world. So many cool and unique looks figures in each room. All the rooms were very vibrant and had their own theme. This was an awesome experience and definitely family friendly. The staff are welcoming and helpful when you need them to guide you through so places because you can get lost. I am happy they have a museum in Northeast Philadelphia with free parking !
