Great value lunch stop near Town Hall and Gadigal stations. Order via one of the three touch screen kiosks. Can be a little confusing as there are so many combos and options and the price fluctuates based on more premium selections. I got the 2 piece onigiri with karaage chicken and drink combo. They were very busy at lunch time but they were pumping through orders in record time. The onigiris are HUGE! Forget about the kombini sized ones you are used to in Japan, these are two handers. The spicy pork was tasty and the chicken karaage one was too. The individual pieces of karaage were really greasy. Loved the sauce and seasoning stations. Yuzu lemon soft drink was very refreshing. Great interior, quick turnover spot with an excellent concept. We need more of these fast food eateries in Sydney.

Love the concept of quick and easy meals with an extensive onigiri menu. Cute interiors, but not a lot of seating. Would like to go back to try their other flavours, but premium toppings get too expensive though for the size

I'm still hopelessly addicted to Japan, and today I dropped by Otogo, a hip onigiri shop in Sydney CBD. The shop's modern vibe is cool, and their service is seriously top-shelf, complete with a fancy touchscreen menu. I went for the cheapest option because, well, I'm a budget baller on a mission, and scored two onigiri and one karage for a sweet AUD 10.50. I picked the karage mayo onigiri and eggplant onigiri because, duh, they were free, and came with a complimentary karage and yuzu drink that basically made my day. This whole experience has me reminiscing about my recent Japan holiday. A friendly warning — onigiri has a lot more rice than sushi, lol! Don’t underestimate that cute little triangle.

Such an incredible spot for delicious, amazingly priced onigiri (both meals and individual)! The meal combo is a stellar deal, and the onigiri is so yummy 😍 Wonderful value (likely the most value-for-$$ spot in all of Sydney for onigiri and sides!), with such cute decor, efficient touchscreen ordering, kawaii items on display, and a sauce/furikake station. The Japanese rice is SO fresh and the triangles are so perfectly shaped as well - such lovely presentation overall 🥹🍙 Mitsu, the owner, is the sweetest and so lovely - such incredibly swift, wonderful service also! (We love that Otogo uses Canva 🥹🥰💜) Big love and appreciation for this amazing business, highly recommend everyone try 💖

I usually love this Onigiri spot for lunch as the deals are honestly so good and cheap. 2 onigiri’s, a drink & soup fro $13.90 is amazing in this economy. However I received one of my Onigiri today and the rice to chicken ratio was so off… 3 tiny bite size bits of chicken for a full heaping of rice was quite disappointing. I took bites off the side thinking there was more hidden inside but nope just those 3 tiny pieces on the top. A bit of a let down as I paid for onigiri not rice with a side of chicken…

Affordable prices in the CBD from $10.50 that you can customize from your budget, delicious flavors to choose from including quite a few uncommon varieties like mushroom and particular seafoods. Remains me of the good trips in Japan where the interior is catered for quick convenient dining, I would add there is only three kiosk for everyone ordering with card payments only, surcharge is applied to all orders. Definitely a great spot for combo deals and desserts during lunch or dinner. 🍣🍙🍘🍥🍵 The yuzu lemon is the best!!

I love this place- the food is great, comes fast and it’s made fresh. Come here at least once a week. Don’t hesitate- come here. Onigiri is great and they also have desserts and drinks

This is my fave spot in the city for a quick bite, especially great for solo dining, as the portions are customisable, service is quick, and seating is clean and comfortable. I like the (new?) combo that comes with two rice balls and edamame. Today I got miso eggplant and tuna mayo. I also like the salmon one rice ball. ☺️soba noodles are great too especially in winter
