Old Sovjet hotel with lots of history within its walls. It has definitely seen better days but its a cool hotel to stay in, although it seems to be a little empty. Rooms are good, nothing to complain about, and as a bonus you have a little balcony with views over the 28 soldier park. The breakfast is nothing special, although the room it is located in has beautiful art on the walls and is shaped like a dome. The lobby and lounges on each floor have their own design and again have that old sovjet touch to it. Next to its history the location is definitely the best part of the hotel. Its located in the heart of the city thus many important locations are nearby like the park mentioned before, the cathedral, bazar and bathhouse. Although it doesn't have the highest quality I can still highly recommend this hotel!

Built in 1975 and it’s a grand old building. However, it needs a serious upgrade. Beds are old and tired. You could feel the springs. Low water pressure and the place to hold the shower wand is broken.|The breakfast is actually pretty good.|Note: internet access is not straight forward. You need a SIM card to receive a confirmation number on your phone.

It is a hotel situated near presidential garden. It is a 5 floor hotel. Rooms are okay. They don't make up the rooms unless we tell them to do so. Breakfast was continental and less options for a pure veg person. Staff was somewhat friendly. Language is the important barrier. They mostly speak Kazakh or Russian.

Too expensive for what you get, the doors don't lock, our shower didn't work and the hotel seemed a little brought down overall. Breakfast was good though and the view was nice.

This was our last stop hotel from the 5 Stans tour with Lupine Travel. This hotel is very spacious, Soviet like atmosphere with dark hardwood furniture. Water stations on every floor which was nice. WiFi is weird, go through the front desk. Don’t worry about taxi to the airport as they will order it for you 10 mins before departure. Walking distance to eating places

This Soviet era hotel is fascinating in its design. I had room 531, which is a standard room, I believe. The room was smallish, but adequate. The bed was good and so was the wifi. Breakfast was good as well. The only critique I had was that there were no blackout curtains and sunrise was at 4am. The front desk staff was very responsive, even though I don't speak Russian they made sure I was taken care of. I would definitely stay here again. The murals on the restaurant ceiling are beautiful, as was the view of the mountains from the front of the hotel. Within walking distance to restaurants and stores and the area is described by locals as being safe.

The location of this very nostalgic and Soviet style hotel is very central, close to downtown sights, services and connections. Rooms are comfortable, but a bit small and they have a tiny balcony too. Breakfast in a great dining hall was actually very good.

Hotel location is excellent close to the market, church and shops. We booked twin room with 2 king beds. Room size is very small. Bathroom is clean and equipped with toiletries. Hotel is very old and outdated. Receiption staffs cannot speak English at all :-(. communication is very difficult.
