Great great and great again. Nice place but filled with great hospitality. My server was very very nice and the steak sub that I got was SOOOOO good so flavorful. It was on toasted bread. It was good to the last bite. I was really surprised at how good the food was. I would definitely go back here again and try something different the way the first impression was.

Stopped in on a Friday night at 5, very busy, but was pleasantly surprised at how quickly we were sat down and immediately approached by our waitress. The food was good and served hot. Staff was very attentive. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely return to patronize them again.

Otto's is a nice family style restaurant. They have a nice patio for outdoor seating and 2 rooms for indoor seating. I had stuffed shells. The food was good. The waitress was friendly, even though we arrived 45 minutes before they closed. This would be a good place to stop if traveling on I-90 as it's close and easy to get back to the thruway.

I legitimately cannot get enough of this place! This is true Italian food masterly made by a man who authentically came from Italy and his daughter who’s first generation here! Their homemade bread is incredible, I’ve had two meals here so far and both have been nothing short of incredible! If your craving authentic Italian with a great atmosphere don’t even consider anywhere but Otto’s!

I order pizza from here all the time. My wife and I have tried all the pizza places around and we both think Otto's is the best. Very fair price as well!

It was a busy Tuesday and so glad we made our reservation in advance for table of 12. I ordered fish fry and it was good and satisfying. Good quality food at a reasonable price and the service’s pretty good.

Google
Start off by saying, the food was great as always, service by Eve was exceptional. We had dinner last night from 8p-9p was mostly enjoyable. The dishwasher/bus boy needs to refrain from invading people's personal space to clear tables while customers are trying to enjoy their evening. Multiple times leaning over both of our meals to clear a singular plate on the other side of the table, when Eve was providing adequate service with everything. We felt very rushed by these actions. We understand it was towards the end of the businesses hours but clearly not after. We may just order To-go on our next craving for Ottos and their exceptional food.

Yelp
I'm obsessed. If any of you out there love eggplant parm as much as I do, go here. If I could give 10 million stars I would. Also if anyone loved Tina's in Hamburg their recipe and way of baking it is pretty darn close. Deeeeeelish.

Yelp
Really enjoyed dining here and I can't wait to come back to try more items! This visit was just a sampling of the lunch items- so pasta dishes, and I got a pizza to try. The lunch pastas (chicken parm and fettuccine alfredo) were HUGE and really a good value in my opinion. Everything was great and the Alfredo had soooo much sauce. The dishes were served with fresh Italian bread with sesame seeds, my fav! Now the pizza- this is not my typical style but I will say it's 5/5 amazing. The crust looks thick (which I normally don't like) but this was just the perfect side and texture. It was perfectly cooked so a bit crispy on the bottom, but as you can see, the cheese was not over cooked!! Sauce was sweeter and delicious. The amount of cheese on the pizza was just incredible and made it so delicious. Really enjoyed this meal and can't wait to try the other options!

Yelp
Whenever I think of summertime and family, I often think of Otto's!! Why do you ask? Well, my family has been coming here for years and we love it !! First off, Ottos has a very sizable patio that can accommodate a large number of people. We have come as a family of 3 up 20 and have always been accommodated. We have also sat inside with a large group as well, but we prefer the patio bc who doesn't like patios? Second, of course, the food!! Me and my family usually always get pizza and wings !! Traditional cup and char with the nice cheese pull always !! My lil sister says their sauce is sweet, I feel like it's in between. The wings are always crispy yet saucy, and they are respectful with the blue cheese. They always bring out the right amount. My dad usually gets the antipasto salad, which is jam-packed with meat!! We very rarely have to order two. They also have a bar inside that is a decent size, I don't normally go in there bc like I said, Ottos is family day. But, I do order a drink through our waitress. They have a wine, beer, and alcohol but no technical drink menu but can make most traditional bar drinks. Third, the staff is super friendly and accommodating. They have high chairs and boaster seats and let my lil talk their ears off as well. They are very patient with my loud family. So if you and your family are looking for casual night out and are craving pizza and wings on a patio make your way to Ottos.....I might see you there

Yelp
Went to our monthly get together with old work friends on Friday. This month we went to Otto's for lunch. Sign said wait to be seated but no one was there to seat you. The waitress came and said have a seat anywhere and pointed to an empty room. We asked to be seated in the room where there were people. We ordered food & drinks & when they arrived my friend who ordered coffee said it was cold and asked the waitress for a warm cup, we did notice the eye roll the waitress gave. When our food came mine was fine, I had broiled fish. Anyone who had soup said it was not hot and the one who got a calzone said it was cold (no melt cheese when she cut into it). Haven't been here in years and it will probably be a long time before I return.

Yelp
Good old Otto's. This used to be one of my regular hangouts back in the day, when I worked just down the street. I hadn't been there in quite some time, so when it was suggested for our usual lunch get-together, I was happy to agree. All the usual Italian fare, plus burgers, subs, wings, pizza, salads and a few seafood selections, including a daily fish fry. There's a great lunch deal - $9.95 for a lunch-size portion of lasagna, baked ziti, linguine and clam sauce, fettucini alfredo or pasta & broccoli. I opted for the lunch portion eggplant parm with baked ziti for $10.95. Not a skimpy little lunch by any means. I had plenty to take home. Speaking of which, our server did something not many places do - she packed up our takeout boxes for us. Greatly appreciated! It wasn't the best eggplant parm I've ever had, but certainly tasty. And the cheese on top was baked to a toasty golden brown just the way I like it. Sauce a bit sweeter than I prefer, but not inedibly so. House wine is Franzia. Ick. Thankfully, there are several other better brands to choose from, and prices are reasonable. Otto's has been around for a long time, and will probably be around for a long time to come. With good reason. You can get a decent meal at a decent price, and sometimes that's all you really want.

Yelp
The food here has been reliable for many many years. The service is good. The staff are friendly. No surprises, which is comforting. This is perfectly located on Union Road in Cheektowaga, convenient for shoppers. The menu is deep enough to satisfy a variety of cravings. The portions are large, the sandwiches are well filled, I really have nothing negative to say about this icon of Cheektowaga.

Yelp
I came in on Saturday for dinner. I had no one to do my gender reveal with so I did it there. I wasn't feeling much like eating so I didn't eat much of my food and took it home. I just cracked into it now and cooked into the bread was a TON of short black hair (I have long blonde). Like embedded in it as if the dough had it kneaded into it. I had eaten some food and threw it up instantly when I ripped bread off and saw that. I didn't want to risk the health of my unborn baby so I ended up throwing away what was left of the food since clearly things weren't up to part sanitation wise that day. It was really upsetting because I left a nice tip even though the waiters seemed annoyed and didn't even do more than take my order (I waited awhile) and bring my check. So I pretty much threw out $25. I messaged them about it and their response was a THUMBS UP.

Yelp
It's been a trying week, and I was in the mood for some comforting food. Came to the right place. I ordered the beer battered fish fry (which is served everyday). I just now realized as I write this they forgot the bread and butter it was supposed to come with! Oh well... I left plenty full so not a big deal. In addition to the fish and bread and butter, it comes with coleslaw (I passed on this), macaroni salad, and choice of potato (I opted for French fries). I loved all of my food. Absolutely no complaints. Even the fries LOOKED lack luster but they were actually very flavorful and perfectly cooked (crispy outside, pillowy soft inside). They do have desserts here too if that's your thing. When you first walk in the dining room, there's a little neon sign that says some of the desserts and soups of the day. Server Karen was very warm and friendly. I look forward to coming here again!

Yelp
I've been taking my family to this restaurant for 21 years, but I'm done. The note on the door warning people that the owner welcomes firearms in the place is like a giant middle finger to me that might as well say, "WE DON'T WANT YOUR MONEY." Message received, you won't get any more of it.

Yelp
Some family and I wanted to share a meal together to help round out the (long) week. They decided on Otto's as it was central for all of us. All-in-all, it was fine experience! We met around 6:45pm on a Thursday and were easily able to find a parking spot in their parking lot. We walked in and were immediately seated at a four-person table outside in their covered patio. We were one of maybe two tables with people so we essentially had the place to ourselves. Our waiter came over and went over the drinks and I ended up sipping a Sam Adams' Summer Ale for the evening. Our waiter was incredibly friendly, courteous, accommodating, and attentive, making sure we were taken care of, something, I feel, was lacking in the last year or so. Really nice to see! After taking some time to chat and peruse the menu, we placed our order and chatted for another 20 minutes or so before our food came out. For dinner, I wanted something very neutral as I literally had flown back from St. Louis that afternoon and had been eating out every meal since Monday. I wound up ordering chicken fingers coated in medium sauce, which came with a cup of bleu cheese, and a side of fries and celery. There was a total of four, nicely sized chicken fingers included in this meal. The chicken fingers were nicely sauced and sized and there were plenty of fries on the side. Nothing stood out about this meal, everything tasted fine and was plenty filling, but obviously this is not the focus of their menu. But, I will say, their crispy chicken sandwich looked excellent, so maybe I'll try that if I come back. I thought the prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food and drink I ordered. The long and short of it, Otto's is a-ok! I thought our waiter and the customer service we received was excellent. The food, albeit I didn't order a traditional Italian dish, was ok, nothing real noteworthy. I won't go out of my way to come here but if a group insisted on coming here, I'd be fine with that.

Yelp
Recently received a response from a negative Google review and figured I'd drop another explanation why id never come by here again after s couple years. Shit service, ok food but make sure you check it before you leave with it

Yelp
Love the Bills swag outside. Walked by the bar are...looked like my kind of joint. Ate in the dining room, was a bit dated, but no issues at all. Waitress rocked it. I ordered wings. Great quality chicken. Large, juicy, white meat. I was hoping for a true wing sauce but, fell short. If sauce was better...could have been a five. Blue cheese was good. Peers were content with their meals. Generous portions.

Yelp
This place is ALWAYS my go to when I'm come home for a visit! Everything about it is EXCELLENT! Service, cleanliness, and the food is stupid good no matter what you get! Family owned and operated is what I love most!!! Wanted to take a pic of my food but I ate it!

Yelp
I had lasagna, which was "deconstructed". The sauce was quite sweet. My wife had the fish fry which was "eh". Heavy, greasy. Service was ok. Attentive but not super excited about life. Decor was outdated. 2.5 stars overall.

Yelp
Food is good. Popped in for a quick cheap lunch. Not bad. The wedding soup was really good. Service was fast and friendly

Yelp
I used to go to this place at least 2 times a month. The food was great and a very good value. I haven't been this past year due to 2 surgeries. I went out with a friend , we thought we would have an early dinner at 5:30. We ordered broiled fish fry and class casino. The worst I have ever had. Who is the cook I'm thinking.. class were dry, burned on the bottom and served in a muffin top pan. They were sent backend removed from bill. The fish dinner was horrible as well. We went to our show, and both got sick and threw up. I believe the macaroni salad was to blame... I won't be returnin

Yelp
As Lent is right around the corner, we stopped by Ottos to try their fish fry. The fish fry was roughly $16.95. Along with that, they had Peroni on draft for $5.50 for a pint, which was a pretty good deal, as compared to bottled beer. The fish fry came with a side of French fries, tartar sauce, coleslaw, and macaroni salad. The coleslaw was really diced up and juicy, which is great if you like it that way. I personally prefer it less pureed and not as wet. Bottled beer was $4/each, and a rum and coke was $4.50. There wasn't much of a wait, and out food came out quick. The fish fry was probably in the best 4 I've had. Overall, I'd recommend this place over most in the area.

Yelp
I have no idea how I ended up at Otto's Restaurant & Bar last weekend, but it was a decision I would not regret. I would be lying if I said I had high expectations for this place, but I was proven very wrong by a super kind staff and a really good calzone. Our waiter was super friendly and answered whatever questions we asked. The restaurant itself was pretty large and offered a good amount of booth seating which is always nice. I decided to order a customized calzone with mozzarella cheese, sausage, and meatball (AKA, my go-to calzone). The food came out pretty quick and it exceeded my expectations! The calzone was a good size, there's was a good amount of mozzarella on the inside, and the meat was scattered as it should be. I really enjoyed every aspect of this calzone and the sauce on top was the icing on the cake. Overall, the staff was good, the food was good, and I've got nothing bad to say about my experience at Otto's. If you find yourself in Cheektowaga wanting a calzone or some pizza, consider checking this place out! (Also, free bread for the win).

Yelp
rudest bartender I've never encountered! Didn't even greet me and lied about the kitchen being closed. Pretty sure it was because my man isn't white.

Yelp
Usually, when going to a restaurant on a Friday night, you'll find a packed house, slow service, maybe even a longer wait to be seated. This wasn't the case though. It was a Tuesday night around six. You would think that given the day and time of coming to Otto's that it should be relatively quick service. Not saying that my group wanted fast service(we weren't in a rush) but we didn't want to be miserable sitting there at our table hoping our waitress didn't forget about us. We walk in, seated very quickly, and then our waitress came by to take our drink orders. It takes about 5 or so minutes for her to come back with our simple order of 3 waters. After she sets down the drinks she goes away. Maybe to take care of another table? We didn't know because we were one of the only tables being served just by her. A total of 3 other coworkers are serving and taking care of other tables, and our waitress doesn't seem to show. She does eventually, takes our order(calzone with ricotta and pepperoni, baked cheese ravioli, and a turkey melt) "I'll put that in right for you!" she said, then walks away. Because of what we ordered, we expected it to take a little longer than we wanted, but again we were in no rush. That was when the food came out. She brings our plates and everything, and two of us ask for ranch(for the fries) and bread/butter(because it's "included" with the meal) seems like a simple and easy request. Apparently not because she said she would put it in, but it was never executed. The calzone was good, the ravioli was also good. The fries and turkey melt, however, were another story. The fries were actually cold. We couldn't even say that they were the tiniest bit of warm, just cold. Another thing to add, was that she never even visited us to see how our food was, which made getting our bread and ranch harder. It wasn't until when she came to our table to ask if we wanted boxes, also saying that she realized she didn't get our bread. She completely forgot about the ranch, and only mentioned the bread while saying she was sorry she forgot. We just asked for two boxes and the check, and we got out of there. Overall, all these happenings have made us give Otto's a single 2 stars. I don't believe we'll be coming back.

Yelp
Another great meal . We both Had the fish fry and loved it. It was crispy and not greasy . The side were good ,can't go wrong at this neighborhood place. Someone next to us had the pizza And wing they smelled great!!,

Yelp
This was our first time trying Ottos. We will come back to try entrees and get the bread that looked so good at others tables. But our first experience was not so good. We were sat in the back corner booth and didn't get our drink order taken for a good 10 minutes. Then our waitress forgot the side of ranch I asked for with our potato skins and it took her a good 5 mins to come back around and I had to lean out of the booth to get her attention. Someone else brought out our pizza. The crust was really good but I'm not a fan of the sweet sauce. Our waitress did not check on us again for another 10-15 mins while we sat needing refills on our pepsi. She came to the table next to us three times and I tried getting her attention to no avail. We finally got our refills and she brought us a box and our check with them. 10 mins and counting for her to come take our payment. Hopefully the service is better next time.

Yelp
White pizza was very good. It was covered in diced tomatoes that tasted fresh. The lunch menu was basic pasta and a meatball or slice of lasagna or two slices pizza and salad, and they were reasonable prices under $10. I opted to get a while pizza of six slices for $3 more. A few basic burgers and large Italian dishes rounded out the menu. It was mostly updated with one price change and only one noticable spelling error. Friendly staff sat us right away. Other guests were mostly retired age and my friend and i were clearly the youngest, but we felt accepted. The noise level got surprisingly loud since it's mostly hard surfaces in the dining area. I didn't check out the bar side.

Yelp
Came with kids for lunch. The menu is pretty large but for some reason I struggled to find something. I landed on the grilled lemon pepper fish with mashed potatoes, mac salad and coleslaw. My mother wanted a Turkey club but they were out of bacon so she opted for a 1/2 Turkey sub. My kids each ordered kids fingers and fries. Everything was cooked fine but nothing really stood out. The service was okay but the bill was larger than I anticipated. Kids meals don't include drinks and that hiked up the already pricey kid option. Service was slow and the place was tidy but that seems to be the case almost everywhere lately.

Yelp
This place is pretty close to my house and I've only recently started to get a bunch of take out from here. Their lunch deal of two slices of pizza and a salad is really good and a great price. When I have gone in to place my order, the staff have been friendly and accommodating, and the order doesn't take too long to prepare, so I'm not waiting too long before I can leave Recently, I tried their roast beef sandwich. There was a lot of grizzle in it. I was not fond of going through my sandwich to pick out the not so great looking (and tasting) pieces of meat. Besides that part, the sandwich wasn't awful, but I don't think I'd ever get it again. It comes with fries and a pickle.

Yelp
I flew into the airport on Friday 4/30 at 1:30 and had asked family to suggest a place for a good traditional Buffalo fish fry. We arrived at Otto's around 2pm so it was certainly quiet. My order did not disappoint and I ate almost all of it! Other orders were a calzone, which was even too much for my brother to eat and he took part of it home. My sister had a burger, which she really enjoy. The Cajun fish my sister-in-law ordered was good, but very she thought it too light on the seasoning.

Yelp
I like this place it's for a good local feel and it's a place you can enjoy a good meal, a drink, or a sports game in the bar. Tonight I tried the rueben with German potato salad and it was super yummy. Good cuts of corned beef, yummy dressing and tangy saurcraut made for one good sandwich. The potato salad was excellent with lots of flavor, tangy vinegar, and chunky potato pieces. Prices were great too at just 9.79 I think for my meal. I wanted to try the house French onion but I abstained. I regretted my decision all night especially after seeing another guest order it and say how good it was. Try them out today I enjoyed it!

Yelp
I have a rule that I should really start following better. "Grey hair beware". If you see that the clientele is mainly over 70, go somewhere else. How true it is here. First we ordered clams casino. We should've packed up and left when they arrived at the table with aluminum "half shells". After that it was downhill. My wife's chicken Marsala was inedible and my veal was edible but more like a soup than a veal margherita. The one saving grace was the service. Our waiter was very courteous and understanding. It's too bad. Otto's has been around forever and maybe that is what draws some but we'll skip it next time.

Yelp
Ottos is a restaurant with so many choices you don't know where to start sometimes. The pasta and meatballs are delicious and I do believe that they partner with another fantastic local restaurant that has Italian... I've been told they are related. That is a fantastic combination when I can't decide between American fair, Italian and Buffalo fare whenever I want at this place. Everything came out fresh, tasty and hot. Our server was beyond helpful and friendly, just want you to expect any local Buffalo restaurant. My chicken française was absolutely delicious and better than I've had at upscale restaurants. When you're planning a dinner outing don't forget about Ottos.

Yelp

Yelp
Haven't been here in a least 20 years and can't remember why! My husband saw his favorite on the menu that was in our morning paper an$ we decided to try it. There was 5 of us, three having veal Margherita with a side of sitting, 1 with eggplant Parmesan and 1 fettuccine. We all left stuffed and happy! Everyone had leftovers! It was not an elaborate meal in a fancy setting but good ole comfort food! It looks like they have updated the decor some from some of the pictures posted, now have ceramic tile and a slightly more modern look. I definitely will be back to try the fish fry. I guess this time I won't wait 20 years!

Yelp
Wow what a mess. Layout, food, staff... By the time we were done, I could tell who the problem was, and in like most cases, that's the owner. The wait staff seemed disconnected and poorly trained. The food horrible. The host was a young kid who worked hard. We watched him hustle the whole time there and personally I find that refreshing so, props to the kid. I decided to order a classic spaghetti w/meatballs & sausage. My girlfriend ordered the chicken parmesan. I also ordered what they call an "Eppie roll" which basically is a Stromboli w/peppers, onions and sausage. It took about 45 minutes for our entrée's to arrive. The meatballs were piping hot, indicating they were microwaved. I cut into it and the meatball was firm with no flavor. The sauce was way over sweet and watery. The spaghetti was about 2 minutes over done. I found it odd the Italian sausage wasn't cut in pieces and on my spaghetti but instead, just a piece of 5" meat laying in a puddle of sauce on it's own platter. Again, no flavor-and more of that sauce, tomato sugar water.. I sent it back and of course wasn't offered anything in its place.. I'm left with their "Eppie roll".. It looked pretty good so I thought maybe this is what Otto's is good for. I did notice a bit of people picking up pizza and wing orders. But, too late. So I cut into one and yea, not that good. The sausage was bland in color and taste. I dissected the middle, opened it up and found that the dough was still raw. It was at that time a waitress rolled up & asked if everything was okay and I pointed to the raw dough, she took it-but again, didn't offer me anything else LOL -"I guess I don't eat today." My girlfriends chicken parmesan looked appetizing, but it was disappointing. They forgot the spaghetti that went with her order, I told her they were doing her a favor.. Also, they serve bread before meals arrive. I expected it to be nice and warm but it wasn't however, I liked it & could say now that it was the best thing we ate. When our meals arrived, I asked for more bread and they brought an entire different bread that was NOT as good as the first. (shrug?) I expect a restaurant to hit at least an 80% of my expectation which means 'food is good enough to eat'... At Otto's, it's a flat ZERO. Otto's may be better off turning over a new business offering oil changes and car Inspections like the name suggests because, I don't think there's any real Italians present who are passionate about food. But, maybe the pizza is good? I'll never know.

Yelp
Came to Otto's for a family dinner on a Saturday evening. There were plenty of customers, but we didn't have a problem getting a table for 8 right away. The waitress was very friendly and patient with my three, young nieces. We didn't get any appetizers, so ordered our dinners right away. It took an average amount of time to come out for a large party, so no complaints there. The food was good. Between all of us, we had pepperoni pizza with BBQ wings, fish fry, spaghetti and meatballs, a Ruben and spinach salad with chicken. The highlights were the meatball (homemade and the size of a baseball!) and the pizza. I am very picky about red sauce and the sauce at Otto's didn't disappoint in the least. The Ruben was the only downside of the meal. The bread was soggy and unappetizing. The decor of the restaurant is dated, but clean on the surface in the dining area. The bathrooms however, could use some help. My boyfriend, who is not usually phased by much, actually took a picture of the light switch in the men's room to show me. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned since 1985. I'm glad we had already eaten! Hopefully this is not a representation of the kitchen.

Yelp
The portions were absolutely huge. We ordered way more than we could eat.. the sesame seed bread was delicious... however being Italian, it would have been nice if there was oil and vinegar on the table and not butter for the bread. My husband absolutely loved his spaghetti. My fettuccine Alfredo was good, however there wasn't quite enough chicken for me. Fettuccine Alfredo isn't a real authentic Italian dish, but in any case I'd order it again because it was tasty. We also ordered a calzone (which we ended up taking to go).. the calzone was the one part that I wasn't a fan of. There was way too much ricotta, and only one slice of deli ham. Calzones should have some more mozzarella and ham.. also I was hoping it would be one of the authentic calzones (mozzarella e prosciutto crudo, fritto) but for an American-Italian restaurant, they tried. Overall we would probably go here again, but we would definitely order less knowing the huge portion sizes.

Yelp
We went there for dinner with 8 of us and then others met us for dinner . We went to the bar and had a few drinks, the barmaid was very rude and she made it very obvious she did not want to be there. Apparently the bar closes at 11 and we weee not aware or weee informed , they shut the lights off and the staff told us to leave We left and we will never come back and unfortunately all of us shared this all our other friends

Yelp
Very good pizza. Many people go to Otto's expecting upscale Italian dining. Yes, it is an Italian restaurant, but more of a neighborhood restaurant/pub than anything upscale. That said, the pizza here is among the best Buffalo-style pizzas around. Subs are good too. I can't speak of the other Italian specialties but I do recommend the pizza.

Yelp
Oh so close ... The scales of scoring really wavered on Otto's for this evening's check in on the hunt for the best Buffalo Friday Fish Fry. That 4 1/2 tipping point nudged both ways before the clam strips nudged it on down to a FOUR STAR. Frankly, no eatery should be reluctant to accept a bevy of four stars because the lusting for consistent fives can only make them better! Perhaps I have avoided Otto's because it reminded me of old times with mom and dad ... Walking in and looking around I felt old and dusty (It was clean inside but there was a feeling that mom and dad would pop up from six feet under, which would not be very appetizing.). The inside feel was definitely a factor that tipped the review down. We definitely agreed outside for dinner; it was a perfect al fresco evening (I am sure Al would have agreed if he stopped by.) in Otto's pleasant parking lot patio dining area. Wow a HADDOCK SURPRISE ... A classic Buffalo Beer Battered Haddock Friday Fish Fry (You can get one every day at Otto's; just think everyday is Friday!) turned into a seafood platter!! Love the idea ... Had to order it along with its rye bread (for those who follow me - no hamburger bun bread option) macaroni salad, coleslaw, and a choice of potato. I have learned to ask about THE BAKED unless dining at Morton's where the potatoes are seductively posed for you to pick from. So my waitress assured me that Otto's baked come from the oven and she will make sure mine is well done or was it done well? What made me feel really good were the words "if you are not happy with the baked potato you can exchange it for any of the other potato choice. So as the traffic noises mesmerized us (Why did Al invent al fresco dining and did he intend to have people eating amidst traffic sounds and aromas?) the food arrived .... SEAFOOD FEST for Dave!!! Classic Diner look (Remember this Buffalo kid has spent many years in Joisey (South Jersey) where diners permeate the skyline! Fried shrimp, a stuffed clam, clam strips, my HADDOCK, macaroni salad, plastic cup of slaw and foil wrapped potato (A true diner presentation & a definite warning sign that the potato went through a casual steaming process rather than being lovingly baked. Stuffed clam perfecto!! The clam was the star!! Fried shrimp came from clean hot frying oil where they lingered for the correct amount of time to arrive in my mouth sweet and delicious! The macaroni salad was really good! Oh my the haddock was thick, juicy and a crisp batter that said "we know fish fry" at Otto's! Ah, the foil steamed potato ... I could have predicted hard edges, lack of soft fluffy interior potato with that baked texture. Not good and I would go for another option on a future visit. No, I did not request a replacement and to her credit our waitress checked to see if I liked it. When I said (With a perceptible grimace) that it was "ok" she offered to replace it with fries, mashed, or German but I ate on. If you heard me coughing then you know how dry the fried clam strips were. Crunchy crisp and throat impacting dry The slaw came in plastic cups ... Enough said. Sauces were far above average. Otto's food and service continue to make this old time favorite worth a visit!

Yelp
First time here. I went for lunch and 4 guys ordered 4 different items. Bar area was typical high boy tables. Big speakers and neons around the room. I split a turkey club and a bacon cheeseburger with another guy. ( so I could try both). The good. Turkey club was very nice. Plenty of turkey, perfectly toasted bread, an adequate amount of mayo. Bacon had a nice crisp to it and good flavor. The club was tall and firm and rather difficult to eat but worth it. Came with fries- the original non-coated kind which I love. These were pretty well overcooked but edible for the most part. The bad. The burger was a good-sized patty, likely a quarter pounder. It was between bland and bad tasting. I did not enjoy. It had a very fresh and crisp looking seeded bun (not a Kaiser) that was stiff dry and bland as well. The bacon was crisp and tasty- salvaging the last hope for even eating the burger. It made me sad. Service was very good, even if a little slow. The restroom was a decent size but had noticeably sticky floors. If I do go back I'll try a pasta dish.

Yelp
Over the last decade I've been to Otto's several times. I've never had a complaint with the food or the service, but it's not your typical Italian Eatery in Western New York. What is different about this restaurant than the many others? Let's start with the atmosphere. This isn't your candle light Italian eating experience or an old, well-known establishment like you would expect at a place like Chef's downtown. Instead you'll find what looks to be a rundown bar with a dining area on the other side. What I've always enjoyed about Otto's is that it's open late and doesn't ever seem to be busy. You can always get in and out quickly if that's what you're looking to do. They specialize in Italian food and all of it is average. There's nothing wrong with it and I don't think you're going to eat anything that's going to blow your way either. What we've always remembered about dining here is the massive portions that they give you. Another thing is the food is more than affordable period I can't imagine anyone complaining about the price. Meanwhile, everything is about average in the quality isn't amazing. With that said so many people are happy with average and you'll probably be okay with all the food on the menu here. I think my favorite thing so far has been there Italian wedding soup witches homemade everyday and very enjoyable. I've ordered their chicken parmesan many times and it is a massive amount of food. The chicken is always been very tender and as a matter of fact the last time I was here I didn't even need a knife to cut through it. Similar to what you would get downtown at Chefs they also have a sweet red sauce here that's pretty tasty. I've tried many of their pasta / seafood dishes and they're not bad either. Often times when I bring someone new here the order the triple combo which allows you to try three different entrees for one low price. Last time my friend had the stuff shells, veal and lasagna and there was enough food here for actually two or three people. One thing you can count on it Otto's is friendly service and I wouldn't expect to see too many out-of-towners here. Do count on massive portions and value , however.

Yelp
My husband and his friend stopped in for lunch on Thurs. Sept 1. He brought me home a chicken quesadilla because he knew how much I like them. Well, this was the most delicious quesadilla I have ever had in my life!! Very tasty. Excellent re-heated too! Kudos to whoever was in the kitchen on that afternoon. They rocked it! I will be back!

Yelp
We are semi frequent flyers here. Went simple with a cheeseburger no bun, easily substituted the fries with a salad, with no up charge. Bar service was OK. Second rum and diet was better than the first. Friend had the whole haddock fish fry, the fish was huge, sides were smaller than I would have expected. Waitress was friendly with out being over baring. Easily keto with the right choices. Would return.

Yelp
Went here for lunch with a party. We had never been here before and I was surprised at how big it was inside. I didn't realize that there was a second floor. We were pleasantly surprised. It was nice inside and the staff was very friendly. They made excellent chicken wings. Others had the surf and turf and really liked that too. We will be back.

Yelp
Today, we ordered a Large Sicilian Pizza, Cheese & Pepperoni, and 30 wings. The pizza was great, no issues there. The wings on the other hand, were a complete disaster. I don't know if they were out of wings, and just gave us scraps or what. But, there were about 12 viable wings, and then a bunch of wing "nubs", which we have a pic of to share. Definitely not ordering again after this. All this, for $51. Yikes.

Yelp
My recent visit to this place confirmed it will be my go-to pizza place! Who would've thought, right?? I'm telling you it's delicious! I think it's the sweeter sauce that makes it but the loads of cheese and thinner crust just adds to it. I have also had the open faced pizza sub and it's equally scrumptious! I had to try the stuffed peppers because.. well we all know I get stuffed peppers whenever they are available. These were nothing special and actually I wondered what they were actually stuffed with because they were flat as can be and the cheese seemed to be on the outside only. They were good chopped up and added to the pizza. Prices are very reasonable and there's nice outside seating for the nice nights. The service yesterday was not up to par though so I took away a star for that. Let me serve myself next time and give me the pizza and I'd still probably do 5
