Our House

We stayed in one of the self catering apartments across the road from the main hotel. Was beautifully appointed, modern and clean with everything we needed. Even some decent TV channels for a particularly cold evening when we decided to stay in and keep cosy!! Walking distance to a decent supermarket with everything you need. We booked two nights so we got to use the spa/hot tub facilities free of charge one evening, which was a bonus! The spa is really nicely done, with a lovely changing room/shower area with fluffy robes, towels and toiletries. Only thing I would say is that the hot tub area is a tad dark, could do with a little more lighting and perhaps a speaker to listen to music :) |Breakfast was good and the owner friendly and knowledgeable about the area. |Great place to stay and very good value for money.

We got lost on the way here, so we called the owner who came out to wave us in. Friendly from the start, our stay at Our House was a very pleasant one. ||The rooms are bright and spacious, the beds are ludicrously comfortable though some are bound to not like the single duvets rather than a double. That does seem to be a Swedish thing. ||The breakfast is filling and I gorged myself on eggs and cornflakes until I couldn't manage any more. The bathroom - which is shared - is clean and powerful. ||In terms of what I was after for a relaxing stay, Our House succeeded in all counts. I'd definitely recommend it. ||The town is fifteen minutes away, the beach is ten minutes away (and if you want a fantastic meal, head to Saltsjobad hotel).

Although Our House is a b and b, they do have at least one self-contained apartment which is what we booked. The apartment is across the road from the main building and there are stairs if you have luggage. We booked here as it was close to the ferry terminal for an early ferry to Bornholm. The apartment is a good size and well fitted out with a microwave and hot plates. Bathroom is nice and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was included in the price. There is a small balcony and off-street parking. Internet connection was sporadic and then disappeared altogether.

We booked the medium sized apartment which was number 3 in a block across the road from the main building. The wifi did not work at all in the room but we were welcome to run across to the main building to use their wifi. Breakfast seemed to be in short supply and only replenished a while after it was finished. There seemed to only be 1 girl running the place. Our room was spacious but very bland. No pictures on the wall and everything was black, white or grey. Although this was set up like a self catering apartment there is no way I would have cooked here. Inside the cupboards were filthy. The shower had hair left of the drain from previous guests. The toilet was dirty. You could write your name on the dust on the blinds. I felt as though the cleaner had just made the beds and left the place as it was left by the guests before us. Our room had a little patio area. There were 2 rusty chairs with a half eaten apple and a few festering conquers on it. An iron bucket full of cigarette ends and the patio furniture was dirty too so we couldn't sit outside and enjoy it. We only stayed 1 night so didn't bother complaining but we were left very disappointed.

We've had two very nice nights here. The host is especially friendly and service oriented! Our room was cozy with a good bed and nice shower, everything clean and well maintained. Would definitely go here again!

On the positive side the staff were friendly, the location was pretty good and there was good parking right outside the room. ||||Unfortunately the room we had was not well cleaned. ||The sheets were dirty, there was a lot of dust on the window blinds and the room and bathroom did not smell so fresh. ||||There was also some candy wrapper on the floor from the previous guest. ||It actually felt like it hadn't really been cleaned since the previous guest. ||||Although there were 2 of us we were only provided with 1 twin bedsheet and 1 towel. ||||The wifi didn't work either in our building. ||||The price is very high for the standard provided. ||||I have seen a number of these issues mentioned in previous reviews. ||It's a shame they haven't taken the comments on board.

Room was clean, nothing special but comfortable. Nice and clean bathroom, shared with one other room. Breakfast buffé was surprisingly good. Located about 15 minutes from the train station by foot. Easy check in and check out, affordable price.

After reading some of the reviews, not sure what to expect. || Our stay was beyond our expectations!|| Why?:||*Bradley, “Our House” host...wonderful, friendly, happy guy w/ lots of information about the area.||*Our accommodations (#5) was a great little studio w/ balcony & small kitchen.||*Location as to center of town & ferry ⛴ was superb!||*breakfast was ok...||*Bike rental available @ a reasonable price.|| Wish we could have stayed longer.., Will definitely return next year for another stay!|| Thank you Bradley...😁
