There isn’t much to see here. The building itself is not particularly impressive, and inside you’ll only find an exhibition of icons — mainly of interest to students of iconography or practicing Orthodox Christians. If you’ve purchased a combined ticket and have 10 minutes to spare, it’s worth a quick stop. Otherwise, you can skip it — the fortress of Rhodes offers many other spectacular sights that are far more rewarding.

Tickets are bought across the street in the archeological museum. Amazing old church with an exhibition of old icons. There is detailed information on the church and the exhibition. If you have already seen the Archeological museum and Grand master palace, this is an amazing addition. An insight into the life of the island since 11th century. Take a peek into the Zebrano cafe and the Auberge d'Auvergne through the gate in the little garden adjoining the church and head for a cafe freddo to cool down afterwards. Afterwards,

It's a nice old church which you can visit if you bought a ticket for the archeology museum across the street (very worth it to take a look there)

Part of the combined 10€ ticket. Otherwise 3€ on its own, which doesn't seem worth it. Wasn't much to see but still nice to go in and have a look. Information about the history of the place, very old artwork and pieces of stone.

Panagia tou Kastrou (Our Lady of the Burgh) is one of the oldest churches within the Medieval City of Rhodes. Its history perfectly mirrors the island's complex past. Originally built as a Byzantine Orthodox church likely in the 11th century, it served the commercial district before the Knights arrived. Under the Knights Hospitaller, from the 14th century onwards, the church was significantly transformed into a grand Gothic Catholic Cathedral, serving as the official church for the Latin Archbishopric. Following the Ottoman conquest in 1522, it was converted into the Enderum Mosque (Enderum Camii), reflecting another major shift in the island's rulers. During the Italian period, restoration efforts aimed to reveal its medieval Gothic character again. Today, it no longer functions as a place of worship but serves as an exhibition space managed by the Archaeological Service. You can still see remnants of medieval frescoes inside, hinting at its long and varied history.

Visisted in aug 2021 , aroung noon , few tourists , paid 3 euros (from the archeology museum across the street ) . Small place , 30 minutes visit , once a great cathedral . Few partial frescoes remain ( 1%) , the rest of the walls are empty . There are some orthodox religious exhibits . Worth it .

A quiet, tranquil place. A handful of well-preserved Orthodox icons can be seen here. The building itself if impressive as well, with its arches on the vault. The church is not fully restored. There is still much work to be done.

The entrance to this 11century church is in the combine ticket that includes the archeological museum and the episcopal palace.
