A guide around England from London Gatwick for every type of traveller - SilverKris

"An ornate 19th-century railway bridge built in 1838 that still carries trains on the London–Brighton line and has become a hugely popular photographic landmark; its spectacular under-archways, constructed from roughly 11 million bricks, create the optical illusions that attract influencers and photographers. Located in West Sussex and a short drive from Gatwick, it’s worth arriving early to avoid queues for photos." - Astrid Hofer

Came here on a Sunday morning (10am), it was slightly crowded but we still had space to enjoy the view and take some photos. Most cars park by the roadside and we had a nice walk around the area. Is it a great place to take pictures? Yes. Is it worth traveling long journey for this - not really in my personal opinion.

Great and imposing feature on the landscape. Amazing feat of architecture but the problem is parking. There are two, very poorly maintained and very small areas to park with fast flowing traffic in either direction making it dangerous. If there was a dedicated car park it would be better.

Beautiful place with a unmatched symmetry! Lots of people at midday but come at any time but midday and you can get some amazing pictures! Also shoutout to my dad for letting me take pictures on his camera!

Really stunning. You can park on Borde Hill Lane, just outside. The architecture is amazing and it's even more breathtaking in person. I hoped there would be a little stream or pond but couldn't find one.

One of the best victorian structures that I have seen. It is worth a visit just to appreciate the craftsmanship that went into the building of such a beautiful viaduct. Its was also a very unique place for a spot of lunch.

This viaduct carries trains on the London/Brighton line with trains passing every few minutes. It comprises 37 arches which when looked through gives an amazing perspective of distance. It was completed in 1842 and had restoration work done in the 1990s. It's free to visit and you can park on the roadside nearby. Wonderful engineering.

A stunning piece of architecture on the side of a busy road. I travelled here by train and managed to get lost in balcombe, but the route to the viaduct is as stunning as the bridge itself. Its a desserted olace with not a lot of visitors and you can walk some of it. Imposing structure you can see from afar, but I would recommend to go by taxi/car if you don't the way, as the route I took was confusing, had no signs, and very few signs of civilisation and I managed to end up going through a cow field.

The Ouse Valley Viaduct is absolutely stunning. Walked there from Balcombe and back. It was a really nice trail through peaceful countryside and beautiful nature. The scenery along the way was relaxing, with open fields, trees, and birdsong all around. When you reach the viaduct, it’s a breathtaking sight, so tall and elegant with its arches stretching across the valley. It’s a great spot for photos and just taking in the view. Definitely worth the walk if you enjoy nature and quiet landscapes.
