Out of Africa Town Lodge

I’m writing this review from their beautiful pool area :) We absolutely love this place. The pool area is super beautiful and clean. The hotel is in a good location and quiet - but the most amazing thing is the staff here. I think it’s a family owned place and they are so caring and giving us lots of tips making sure everything is more than perfect. The breakfast buffet was big and super delicious. Thank you for the perfect ending of this beautiful Namibia trip to the whole team.

Our last night in Namibia - we wanted to not spend on the roof of our car - so we made reservations for this place that is great. As there was no running water the whole evening we stayed there, the staff was very accommodating and helped with bottled water.

This is the perfect place to stay, when you travel in groups. Great breakfast. Big swimming pool with a lot of plants, perfect for taking photos. Staff even greeted the grumpy morning people with smiles.

We recently hosted our end-of-year party at Out of Africa, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a very unpleasant experience. While the food and drinks were top-notch, the service left much to be desired. The staff were rude and unwelcoming, and when it came to closing time, they made no effort to inform us that the venue was closing. Instead, they simply took our drinks outside, and while we were still seated, they turned off the lights without any warning. To make matters worse, they didn't even pack all of our leftover food in the takeaways. The lack of communication and poor customer service really overshadowed what could have been a great event. Out of Africa needs to make significant improvements in their customer service to match the quality of their food and drinks. Thank you Mr. Leon for contacting me regarding my review. It is never our intention to make anyone look bad, instead, we should embrace positive criticism. My apologies for omitting the fact that we were late, though it was communicated over the phone. I will definitely return to dine at Out of Africa, as, as I mentioned, the food is top tier.

We had a great overnight stay here. Loved the courtyard and the room was quite spacious and well designed. The food at the restaurant is fantastic for both dinner and breakfast. The staff are lovely and friendly. We absolutely recommend staying here if you’re breaking up a drive between Etosha and Windhoek. You’ll be very comfortable.

This lodge is ideally located and easy to find. The place is gorgeous and offers different types of rooms and decor. Staff is very helpful and nice. Breakfast offered great choices for all tastes and was great . Excellent quality /price ratio. It was a pleasure staying in this lodge.

My family and I were in Otjiwarongo on holiday at Mt Etjo game reserve. After our time there, we stayed 3 nights at Out of Africa Town Lodge. We’ve stayed here 2 other times and loved it every time. The owners are fantastic, very friendly, engage our kids and are generally just really good people. The atmosphere here is also really great. Lots of green space, a great pool and the food is fantastic. Whether ordering from the menu or going for the buffet, you cannot go wrong. Also, don’t miss the village cafe in town, also run and owned by the same couple. Good no bake cheesecake there. The rooms are very comfortable and well done. As a family of six, we never feel cramped and the owners and staff go out of their way to make sure all is well. I 100% recommend any family’s to stay here. Location is great as it’s just off the corner of the southernmost roundabout as you head south to windhoek. Nothing is far from here and it’s off the main road.

This was a convenient place to stay the night while passing through Windhoek. The room was very comfortable, and the food at both dinner and breakfast was outstanding. The proprietors and staff were friendly and attentive.
