"Stowe welcomed a brand-new accommodation in the spring of 2024 with the opening of Outbound Stowe. The 73-room hotel sits on nine gorgeous acres just a few minutes from the mountain and features a vintage-meets-modern mountain aesthetic. It has fewer amenities than other larger hotels in the area, but it does still sport the all-important hot tub for après-ski, and it has direct access to Stowe’s Recreation Path." - Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca is an award-winning journalist and co-founder of Be a Travel Writer, an online course for the next generation of travel journalists. We stayed here for a weekend. The location is perfect, walking distance to town and really good restaurants and a bar. They have a pool (which was too cold to use when we went), a hot tub, a great bar with amazing cocktails! There is a walking path attached to the hotel. Such a great vibe overall. The only issue we had was our first room, so they have 3 different room types: older room attached to the lobby, pavilion - newer and more modern rooms and the cabins. We originally were supposed to stay in the newer pavilion room. It was cute and clean and modern, however, paper thin walls. You could hear full conversations in other rooms. We ended up staying in the cabins - this was the highlight of the trip. They are incredible! Soundproof, clean, modern, the bed was so comfortable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the cabins!!! Our friends stayed in the older rooms attached to the lobby and they had no issue with sound. So if sound is an issue for you, I suggest the older rooms or the cabins. We would definitely stay here again. The staff are super nice and helpful as well. ☺️☺️

The resort is very clean and dog friendly. There is a walking path behind the hotel which was great for the dogs. The bed was very comfortable. Our only complaint was the TV. There is no cable. It is a smart TV so you have all of those channels. You can try to log into one of your streaming services but we had issues. We kept getting dropped. It was not the end of the world though.||||Would love to go back and stay in one of their cute cabins.

We booked a room back in July and never really checked the photos or amenities because there was limited availability near the Stowe Villages. We arrived and we're amazed at how nice the hotel and amenities were. The place has just been redone and they did an awesome job. The room was super nice and homey. The pool, hot tub, and fire pits are great. There's an awesome bar connected to the pool are. They even gave us free s'mores. It's less than a mile to the village and super close to lots of cool places to eat and drink. Well definitely be back soon! And we'll remember our bathing suits next time!

The Outbound Stowe is an amazing hotel to stay at! The rooms are very nice and new and very clean. Bathroom is spacious. Having the restaurant available was great and there are some dog friendly areas with bags and trash cans. Location is excellent. WiFi didn’t work and beware the walls are thin. We ran the fan which helped with the neighbor noise.

My fiancé and I visited Stowe for a wedding the first week of October (Beautiful time of year to visit!!). We selected Outbound as it was recommended by the Bride and Groom, it was close drive to almost everything in Stowe. ||The check-in process was super easy and we received a map of the little property along with local suggestions for exploring. They also have a perfect walking trail that leads into town. ||We did have an issue with our lock in our door, however maintenance came to the assistance. Once we realized it was not fixable, they moved our room so it was great. ||We ate at The Eastside restaurant, Jack Shawna and Maddie were great bartenders and servers. Super personal and so fun, I recommend sitting bar top when you visit so you can get to know them! ||I highly recommend the bonfire pits for free smores every evening! :)

I recently stayed at Outbound and had a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I especially want to mention Ben, who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the amenities were top-notch. Overall, I highly recommend Outbound Stowe for anyone looking for a pleasant and hassle-free stay.

Stayed at the cabins, with a great view overlooking the pond. Despite stick season it was real beautiful, the cabin was super comfy and cozy. Worked remotely from the cabin with great WiFi, Sarah, Mike and Harley made the experience seamless and ensured we had everything we needed. We also got to make smores at the outdoor bar area. Will definitely be staying again! It was nearby everything, awesome location.

Yelp
Tidy well designed room with comfy bed. They really thought of everything. Plenty of areas to hang your towels, clothes, and coats. Hot water kettle in the room, with coffee to steep, or tea. A noise machine to dull any outside noise. Nice firepit areas and hot tub. The gift shop was really well stocked with great hoodie and tote bag designs, and even s'more kits. The TV in the room was easy to figure out, and came in clear. Helpful happy staff, and hot coffee for early risers. We would definitely come again, especially because they are so close to the bike trails and walking distance to town in either direction. Well done Outbound!

Yelp
Outbound Stowe appears to be a newer hotel in Stowe from what I read online. They are motel-style, but also have little private cabins that are lined up in the back of the property. I stayed in the Double Queen bed, handicap accessible room. It was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. I found that they didn't have a lot of functional things in the room. There weren't a lot of places to hang up towels. They didn't give the usual hotel toiletries like the shower caps, cotton swabs, makeup remover wipes, etc. They did have an electric kettle in the room and a little tray where they had some tea bags, hot coco packets, and an ice bucket. I couldn't find the other amenities from the other review like the noise machine. We only went to the main building to check in and check out, but I did see the hot coffee station and the gift shop. I didn't use either of these. I did, however, enjoy the complimentary smores one night when I had a sweet tooth. They put the kits out by the restaurant on site and there were two fire pits with a few chairs. I wish they had more, smaller fire pits so it could be a more private experience. (The people sitting at the fire pit didn't seem to appreciate when we asked if we could use the fire for smores.) The fire pits are also by an inground pool and a hot tub. The pool had signage that said it was closed, but they did not cover the pool. I'm not sure if the hot tub was open and I didn't see anyone use it during my stay. The WiFi was abysmal, which really was inconvenient because my boyfriend and I did not get great cell service for the entire trip. We were really relying on WiFi when we went to different businesses to plan things and make reservations. Because WiFi was not great at the hotel, some functions of the TV were unusable. These could be growing pains for the hotel if they are a newer business in Stowe, so hopefully they continue to grow and improve because the location is great and the foundation of a great hotel is definitely there!
