Outdo - Ski & Snowboard School - Zell am See

I would recommend Outdo to anyone that cares about improving their skiing skills, because it's definitely worth your money. In particular, Cameron was an amazing instructor. He made us feel comfortable on the slopes, and in only four days we were able to transition from shaky blues to comfortably doing a few blacks! Cameron was always helpful, stopping to lend a hand to fallen skiers, easy to talk to and flexible. We will definitely ask for him again if we come back to Zell am See!

Was sublime, Laurits was very patient, interesting and chatty, the company was very easy. On top of that his explanations and demonstrations were perfect and easy to follow. I went from falling on my ass every two seconds to being comfortable on both heal and toe edge and linking my turns with just two two hour sessions. The transfer from zell am see over to the areit xpress was great and the glockner was the perfect slope to learn on, the staff in the shop were incredibly friendly and funny, by far my best experience with any ski school.

We had an absolutely brilliant experience with Outdo Ski in Zell am See. To start with, we were complete idiots and went to the wrong mountain with our two kids on the first morning. Instead of just telling us where we should have been and leaving us to sort it, the team actually radioed ahead and organised transport to get us to the right place. They genuinely did not have to do that. It saved the day and took a huge amount of stress off us. Our kids are 9 and 10 and were total beginners. After just three mornings of lessons they went from never having skied before to confidently picking up the basics and actually enjoying it. The instructors were fantastic. Calm, patient, professional and most importantly they made it fun. The kids were buzzing every afternoon and couldn’t wait to go back each morning. You can tell these guys know what they’re doing. Proper organisation, great communication and instructors who are brilliant with children. We would not hesitate to recommend Outdo to anyone bringing kids to Zell am See. If you want your children to learn properly and actually love it, book with them.

Booking and communication in advance was quick and clear. My friend and I had 2 private lessons in the morning with instructor Laurits. The lessons were excellent and Laurits is a great teacher, we liked the focus on technique and the explanations a lot and he was also really friendly and supportive. Although we both have different skiing levels, he prepared great exercises that were useful for us both. We also got individual tips and tricks with the focus on establishing a good skiing foundation. Laurits MVP of our skiing holiday!!

I can honestly say that my experience at Outdo Ski & Snowboard School in Zell am See was nothing short of incredible. I was skiing alongside my cousin Jacob and my uncle Phil, and we all had such a fantastic time, thanks in no small part to our instructor Marc. Marc is, without exaggeration, the best ski instructor I have ever had. I’ve taken lessons before, but he is in a league of his own. He has this perfect balance of professionalism and fun that makes learning exciting rather than stressful. Skiing at an intermediate level, I was looking to really improve my technique, and Marc delivered beyond expectations. He broke down every turn, every movement, and every subtle adjustment in a way that was easy to understand and immediately applicable on the slopes. His feedback was always spot-on, and I could feel my confidence growing with every run. What really made Marc stand out was his personality. He is hilarious, charismatic, and genuinely cares about his students. He made every lesson feel like a mix of serious skill-building and pure enjoyment. Even my cousin Jacob, who was a bit nervous at first, felt at ease and was laughing along with Marc’s jokes while picking up new skills faster than he thought possible. My uncle Phil, who hadn’t skied in years, also felt comfortable and supported, thanks to Marc’s patience and encouragement. The ski school itself is top-tier. Their equipment is excellent, the instructors are highly skilled, and the whole atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. It’s clear that they value both safety and fun, which is such an important combination. The way Marc tailored the lesson for our small group — mixing drills for technique with fun runs that let us enjoy the beautiful mountains — showed his incredible ability to adapt to each student’s needs. I honestly can’t recommend Marc enough. He’s not just an instructor; he’s someone who makes you feel like skiing is something you’ve always been meant to do. His passion, skill, humor, and ability to connect with students is unmatched. By the end of the day, I felt like a much stronger, more confident skier, and I couldn’t stop talking about how brilliant Marc is. Outdo Ski & Snowboard School is fantastic, but Marc is the reason I’ll be coming back year after year. If you get the chance to learn from him, take it — you won’t regret it for a second.

I was a complete novice yesterday, but Sarah did a fantastic job teaching me the basics and building up my confidence. After just two days, I felt comfortable skiing on a blue slope, albeit I fell a few times, but as Sarah says falling means improving. She has an amazing mix of patience, charisma, and great instructing, which made learning fun even during the frustrating moments that come with picking up a new skill. I’d highly recommend Sarah and the Out do ski school to anyone. So worth the money!

I cannot recommend Outdo enough! All the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and instructor Victor was particularly fantastic! I was a complete adult beginner, but he explained everything very clearly and was incredibly patient! My skiing ability and confidence grew massively due to his teaching.
