Outlaw's Guest House

We stayed at the guest house for the weekend deal with a meal at the Fish Kitchen, a meal at New Road and a meal at Nathan's supper club. Staying in the guest house was more like being a guest in someone's home. The welcome was warm. Our room (we were in room 5) was on the small side but very comfortable and well appointed. There is tea/coffee though the coffee was on the strong side for me. The bathroom was very well fitted out and extremely clean. It's a short downhill walk to the Fish Kitchen (it's quite steep back) and literally over the road from the New Road restaurant. The supper club was in the guest house so the location is superb. There is a cosy lounge which looks out over the sea where afternoon tea & cake are served (think Ski Chalet) with a bar (which is a honesty bar late in the evening) There is a small car park which has a steep entrance and limited spaces but the public car park is just over the road. It all adds up to great value for a premium service.

This was our second stay at Outlaw’s Guest House. We stayed for two nights on a Winter Foodie Getaway back in February and we returned last week when attending one of Nathan’s Seafood Obsession experiences. When we arrived at the Guest House we were met like we were old friends by Stephanie. The atmosphere at the Guest House is always warm and welcoming. Tea and cake on arrival is invariably both welcome and delicious. Our room was very clean and comfortable with some lovely touches. In the morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast - once again I had the Kedgeree, which is the best I have ever had, anywhere! Although this is a review of the Guest House and not the restaurants, I feel I must comment on the Seafood Obsession experience. It was a truly outstanding experience that will live long in the memory. Having the opportunity to see Nathan work up close and to interact with him throughout the evening was a true privilege.

Stayed one night after participating in Nathan's (Outlaw) Supper Club. ||Great warm welcome from the staff. The room was spacious and well decorated, with a large ensuite shower room. We were lucky enough to have a separate lounge area as well - not that we really used it. Large fluffy towels and nice toiletries too. The bed on the soft-side to what we are normally used to - but it didn't detract from a good nights sleep. ||Tea, coffee and cake offered on arrival which was good. ||The breakfast is cooked to order, the Kedgeree was excellent. ||Normal gripe from the wife that there was no where to sit and dry her hair and do her make-up. It is amazing how many hotels/guest houses don't think about the ladies drying their hair and doing their make-up.

As you arrive you are greeted as though you are family, they are so pleased to meet you. After the necessary checking in and dropping your bags in your room you are invited to join them for refreshments, which included a supurbly light lemon drizzle cake.|We visited Outlaws Guest House to experience Nathan Outlaws Grub Club at his guest house, a night of excellent fish cookery. They also offer two/three night packages which include dinner in Nathan's restaurant across the road and his fish restaurant a 15 minute stroll down to the centre of Port Isaac - a trip I plan to do very soon!!|The rooms are spacious, a lounge, bedroom and bathroom, all tastefully decorated. The bed was a little on the soft side for us, but it gave us a good night's sleep so no further complaints there. Towels in the bathroom lovely and fluffy and large, toiletries are lovely too. There is an area with a mirror, but no chair for us ladies to apply our makeup and dry our hair in comfort, this is my only complaint.|Breakfast was excellent, a good choice of cereals, fruits and yogurt, jams and buns, but the cooked breakfast was the star, we had Nathan's Kedgeree, almost more haddock than rice, it was delightful, other choices were a cornish fry up, scrambled eggs with smoked trout and porridge, other guests had these all looked tasty.| If you want somewhere special to stay in North Cornwall I would suggest this Bed and Breakfast.

An absolutely beautiful place! Bliss! The guest house is lovely, it smells nice, it's clean and well maintained and the sea views are gorgeous, we could see the sea from our bed! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, but also left us in peace. We got the 'Winter Foodie Getaway' which included breakfast, tea and cake in the afternoon and a dinner in each of Outlaw's restaurants. Honestly, my only complaint is that I don't have a larger stomach, or two maybe! Everything was fantastic! The food, the drinks, the service, I can't fault anything. The village is very cute and in the wintertime it's a very quiet. We went for a walk along the cliffs to Port Quinn, I would very much recommend this (though it's not the easiest walk I've ever done, but maybe that's because we went in the pouring rain hehe).

This was our 10th visit! We absolutely love coming here. The welcome, the staff (especially Steffie) all wonderful. The guesthouse is superb with great attention to detail. We were booked in for the usual 2 nights but decided to go a day early , for Nathan's supper club meal with was fabulous! |We are in the process of booking again, for February 2026 for my birthday. |Very many thanks to all xxx

Starting with the positives, Steph is the world’s best hostess and adds immeasurably to the experience of Outlaw’s Guest House. The location is obviously stunning, with the front facing rooms having wonderful views. However…they are far too expensive. The rooms themselves are not special, they are ‘fine’ for a Guest House. Our room was modest, quite small and no bath, but with a wonderful view. For this, in December, we paid £450 a night (I think it’s around £650 in the summer). Other famous-name nearby competitors charge far less for better rooms, that offer the broader service of a hotel, and also have great views. It’s a real turn off and a shame because the idea of a simple quest house giving easy access to the two outstanding Outlaw restaurants is such a good one.

Second time at the guest house and had a wonderful stay. Were made to feel really welcome. Rooms were very clean with quality toiletries in the bathroom. Really loved the fact that we could top up water, teas coffees etc without any faff. Already discussing when we can go back.
