Outlaw’s Guest House (Port Isaac, Cornwall) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Perched above Port Isaac, Outlaw’s Guest House is as personal as hospitality gets. Nathan and Rachel Outlaw have turned this nine-room Victorian house into something well thought out and distinctly Cornish with sea views, local art, mismatched crockery, and an honesty bar for nightcaps. It’s more home than hotel, with just enough polish and plenty of heart. Guests linger over cake, trade stories over aperitifs, and wake to breakfasts that rival dinner. Warm, relaxed, and unforgettable, just like the coast itself." - Tablet Hotels

A very special place to stay and I can't recommend it highly enough. This really is a home from home, and the outstanding service is only surpassed by the quality of the breakfast. The eye for detail is exceptional, and you feel as much a member of the family as you do a guest Most importantly, Outlaw's Guest House exudes warmth and you feel comfortable the moment you walk through the door. Outlaw's Guest House is perfectly located to explore Port Isaac and other local attractions, but once you step across the threshold, you may want to stay put, order a glass of something and drink in the views, in the comfort of what will feel like home!

We stayed for one night and included a superb meal at the Nathan Outlaw Fish Kitchen. |From the very first moment when we were greeted by the wonderful Stephanie to checking out the next day, this has been a truly great experience. Restful, great service, superb food and wine and made to feel very special throughout. The Guest House is located in a prime location with great views over the North Cornwall coast and sitting outside on the terrace with a glass of Champagne, set the tone so well. Great room that was spotlessly tidy and well appointed but it was the great, personable service that made this such a special visit. ||Thank you to Nathan, Rachel and especially Stephanie.

Guest House situated directly opposite Outlaw's New Road restaurant where we were eating which was ideal. Parking limited as advised but arriving around 3.30pm we got a place - and public parking (reimbursable being a nice touch) available directly across road. Short downhill walks into Port Isaac and Port Garenne - bit more effort required on the return trip uphill. Very friendly welcome - tea/coffee and excellent cakes. Room small but very clean and with plenty of space to store clothes; nice size bathroom. Bed very comfortable. Comfortable public areas and nice terrace at front of hotel. Breakfast very good, service excellent and unobtrusive. Owners and staff very approachable. Just a nice place to stay.

Outlaws is essentially the rooms part of Nathan Outlaw’s restaurant with rooms in Port Isaac. If you are eating in one or both of his Michelin starred restaurants - which I would strongly recommend - then this is the ideal place to stay. However the standard of the Guest House qualifies it for a strong recommendation as a brilliant B & B. The rooms are not large but well equipped and comfortable, some have a lovely view over the bay. Breakfast is first class, fresh fruit and yoghurt, freshly made sweet cakes and pastries, good coffee and cooked breakfast made to order - try Nathan’s delicious take on kedgeree. In the evening after dinner come back and have a digestif from the well stocked honesty bar. Above all the staff are outstanding, you feel a guest in a private house. You are greeted with tea and cakes on the terrace, nothing is too much trouble. Steffi and all of you thanks for a great two days. We will be back.

So we have been to the Outlaws New Road a few times before and decided to stay at their guest house ( dinner and night stay package ) . Firstly I am not sure if there is a deal on this package, we still paid the full menu price and £300 a night I stay in a box room. We were in Room 3 which has a small balcony where you can enjoy the sea views. That’s the only positive feedback I can give about the guest house. The room was a box and you can’t even open your suitcases unless you put them on the bed. There is no cupboard and it’s virtually some pins and on the wall to hang your clothes. The bathroom is also minute box and if you are a high BMI individual then don’t bother coming here. The guest house has a bar and guess what if you are a champagne lover then be ready to pay £25/- a glass in the guest house. I can understand paying that in Mayfair hotels but in a box guest house … that’s a bit cheeky think. The host ladies were very good and charming and I have to say the breakfast was of a good standard and quality. The cookies and cakes were good too. I guess we will Visit the restaurant again but probably won’t stay the guest house.

Brilliant place to stay. The room was very comfortable with plenty of filtered water to hand. Kettle and Coffee making facilities available in rooms. The breakfast was really tasty with amazing product, especially the granola. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. There was homemade cakes and cookies available every day. There was ice available when we wanted it and as we stayed Sunday night there was an option to have a platter or salmon and smoked mackerel pate or a ploughman's or home made soup, A marvellous stay. I would note that if you are suffering from knee, hip issues then there are flights of stairs to contend with. If you are booking and have some of these ailments I would ask for the first floor with one flight of stairs not the top floor.

The team at outlaws guest house were all very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help, a very relaxing home from home feel. The lounge area was a great space to enjoy tea and afternoon cakes after exploring the local coastline. Bedrooms & bathrooms are a good size, with tea/coffee and water provided. Light and airy breakfast room overlooking the sea, freshly cooked to order hot breakfast along with fruit & muesli choices. Lovely touch to have cinnamon buns as a takeaway option. Perfect couple of nights would definitely recommend.

A delightful stay in the guest house with a room with balcony overlooking the bay, small and compact but the balcony really made it. Breakfast was great all freshly prepared to order , the continental was extensive and delicious. All the staff were were very helpful and friendly
