Outlaw's Roost

We went and tried the Outlaws Roost upon a recommendation from the boat inspector at bullfrog lake Powell. So we took our boats to the boat decontamination center in Hanksville and left them with a driver and went over here and ate. The burritos were delicious nice fresh flavors with great sauces. The tacos were also very tasty. The service was fast and friendly. I would come back here again on the way home from Powell. If you are in the mood for something different than a burger fries and shake. Go to the outlaws roost.

I made a chicken burrito that was absolutely perfect. Their corn relish and Jackamole sauce are must-try toppings, and the sour cream was the perfect finishing touch. Every bite was bursting with flavor! 🏪 Charming Local Spot 🏪 This is such a cute, one-of-a-kind store with a unique atmosphere. The location next to an equally unique gas station adds to its charm and makes it a fun little destination. 💰 Worth Every Penny 💰 My burrito came out to $14.86 after tax - just a couple dollars more than Chipotle, but significantly better tasting! It's definitely worth the slight premium to support a local business rather than a big chain. 🤗 Passionate Staff 🤗 All the staff were incredibly passionate about their food and eager to help. People would regularly stop by my table to check if everything was tasting alright - that level of customer service really enhanced the whole experience. ❤️ Verdict: Absolutely Delicious! ❤️ Overall, this place is a 10 out of 10! I would absolutely recommend this fun little spot to anyone looking for an amazing burrito experience that beats the chains by a mile. Can't wait to return and try more of their menu!

After a long day of driving, we stayed in Hanksville for the night and tried Outlaw's Roost, delicious!!! the staff was incredibly friendly and fun to talk with, restaurant was very clean but the food was delicious! My husband went back and got another burrito later at night because of how good it was. The food was fresh and flavorful!

What a gem! Margaritas are perfect (they have the only liquor license in town also), food is freshly prepared using nothing frozen and it’s such a cozy atmosphere! Staff is very welcoming and friendly and even split our rice bowl for us without us asking. The pineapple salsa and chipotle cream were our favorite toppings! Be sure to stop here if you’re in the area!!

We’ve been on the road for months and spent about a week in Hanksville, and this is by far one of the best restaurants we’ve come across! We actually stopped here multiple times, and the margs, chips and salsa, tacos, and all other food we tried was delicious. We told them the protein and let them build out the tacos, and the pork with pineapple salsa and whatever else they put on it was phenomenal. Sitting on the patio also gives you amazing views looking out. Even if you’re just passing through the area, stop here to eat, it’s well worth the time!

This is a must.. PULL-OVER AND STOP. Fresh ingredients, no frozen food here. The owners cook and serve, and it shows! I wish I had a larger appetite so I could try everything on the menu. The margaritas are PERFECT. Like everything, made fresh! Clean and spacious, perfect for a visit by yourself or with a family. Thank you for the great meal!

This is the healthiest option in town, it was fresh and you could make it your own. The rice bowl was great, I’d ask for the pineapple mango salsa on the side. It was good but too sweet of a flavor for the rice bowl (personal preference). Overall, staff was friendly and attentive! I’d come again :)

We found this place in our travels and had to make a stop. The food was absolutely top notch and fresh, the staff was super friendly and we enjoyed the churros too 😋 You should definitely make this a stop if you're hungry and want super fresh food.

Great place! Had the salad with pork. Next time I'll have a rice bowl, and plan to eat it with the homemade chips. All of the drizzles are really good. We traveled from Moab where we didn't find any good places to eat.

It's not a burrito being served, it is a wrap -- a wrap unfortunately with very little flavor. Quite disappointing. This is not a Mexican restaurant. Service and ambiance is fine. Margarita was ok.

Decided to check this place out because I wanted something a bit healthier in meals. I purchased the burrito and bowl. For the bowl I had decided on chicken, pinto beans, Monterrey cheese, mild salsa, lettuce, jalapeños and it comes w rice. The burrito has the same but with black beans. Well, I couldn't resist taking a bite out of the burrito. Wow...I it was delicious. Coming from Texas, I'm pretty picky about salsas and stuff, but both items were delicious. The ladies were nice and when checking out, the lady even said my name which gave the service a more personal touch. Would definitely return.

So quick and delicious! Got the burrito with chicken, black beans, feta, pineapple mango salsa, corn, lettuce, fresh jalapeno, chipotle cream, and *jacamole* Cannot recommend enough! Chips were warm and seasoned. Workers were super nice and helpful. Hit the spot after a long day of hiking!

After a long day of hiking we were happy to find this spot with make your own burrito bowls and margaritas. Everything tasted fresh and home made. It wasn't authentic Mexican, but fresh, quality ingredients. My bowl was perfect and margarita tasted great. They had indoor and outdoor seating and friendly service.

The country-style Chipotle in the middle of Hanksville! Friendly service, owner used to ride a motorcycle professionally with trophies displayed. Clean, good food, and good people.

We were on a road trip visiting 5 National Parks and this was PERFECT! The ingredients were so fresh and delicious. We also each got an iced coffee which was amazing! The owners were very nice, super cute inside eating area as well. :-)

Tacos, burritos, and bowls! I love the build your own option, you get to choose a type of tortilla, meat, beans, 4 toppings, and 2 drizzles. Variety of appetizers and drinks available. Their chips were crunchy and the salsa was fresh. Great place to chill before your Airbnb check in time. Quick and excellent service, very friendly and welcoming. Plenty of seating available for big and small groups. Came back twice and I would say the chipotle cream is the best drizzle, it stood out the most in flavor.

Oh boy, this place is great! In other larger cities it would be called Fresh Mex. Delicious rice bowls and wraps. Everything is made from scratch, large portions, reasonable prices, friendly staff, great drinks. Can't wait to return.

Fantastic food selection, especially for the conditions--in the middle of nowhere, side of the road. "Select your own bits" for salads, tacos, etc. with really well prepared, fresh ingredients. Unique sauces are homemade. Clean, comfortable inside and on the patio. Friendly staff, and the owner herself has a great attitude!

Food: Mediocre at best, unless you think a yellow cheese quesadilla is Mexican food. Service: extremely pushy and impatient Ambiance: pleasant but unmemorable.

Outstanding margaritas. Great burritos. Terrific local knowledge from the wonderful owners and staff. Get a margarita, some of the great food and sit on the porch to take in the boats wending their way to Lake Powell and the views of the Henry mountains.

Excellent high quality food. The owners are friendly, helpful and made the experience for us. This was the best part of our visit and that's saying a lot because this was a fun little trip.

Really liked this place, and am already craving another rice bowl, but sadly, I'm home now 250 miles away. Out of our party of five, four had burritos and all really liked what/how they ordered. The burritos were kind of Cafe Rio style with beans and rice and different toppings all rolled inside, but then served just wrapped in a paper. I had a rice bowl (pork, black beans, assorted toppings, and best of all, the jacamole (green) drizzle. Delicious. The folks running the place were super friendly, and all in all, a great find in the middle of nowhere. $90 for five of us including soft drinks.

What a gem located far out from the city. Stopped by for food before camping at moonscape overlook. Service was so friendly and sweet. Ordering was super easy, and food came out fast. The place is super clean and a lot of natural light coming in. I didn't get a proper picture of my rice bowl with the drizzles (sauces) but I got Jacamole & Mexican Goddess. You need to try both! What an elevated experience. Absolutely recommend to everyone who passes by in the area!

Stopped in on the way back from Capital Reef to Blanding,Ut. Food was good and fresh. Although we wished the were hotter in temperature. They were like warm to cold. Flavors were good. We also had a margarita which was refreshing. Very friendly staff.

Great food! Owner took our order and was extremely nice and accommodating. We were made up of vegan/vegetarians and they had options. Portions are generous, I took half of mine to go. I did not expect such great food/service from such a small place. Corn relish and margaritas were amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant. Fast and delicious service!

Great tacos and fast! Healthy food on the go. Stay and eat it inside, they are a bit juicy to take in the car. Meats are all good, the Chipotle cream drizzle was my favorite. Third time visiting on my way home from Lake Powell. Way better than Stan's! There is a reason they are rated 4.9 stars. Should be a solid 5.0!

Loved this restaurant! We were in the area for two days and came here both days. The owner is kind and personable. She gave us recommendations for hikes in the area too. The food was fresh and delicious. There are beer options from local Utah breweries which is cool for us tourists! There is indoor and outdoor seating with bar top along the inside windows. There are couches and regular tables to make for a relaxed environment. Would definitely come back!

This place is simple WOW!! I had a chicken burrito with all the fixing and it was simple delicious. Wife had the pork rice bowl and she said it was yummy. Make sure you try the Mexican goddess drizzle! Workers were awesome and very accommodating. Great atmosphere. You can sit indoor or on the porch if you want to take in the view. If I am ever in this part of Utah again I am definitely stopping here!! Thanks Outlaw's Roost!

Stopped in here during a road trip and was staying closer to Cathedral Valley so wasn't a bad drive. The burritos were excellent. Was on the high side but was out kind in middle of nowhere.

Stopped here after a day of hiking at Goblin Valley. I got a burrito where you choose your tortilla (flour or spinach) protein, rice/beans, 4 mix ins, and 2 sauces. I chose flour tortilla, shredded pork, pinto beans, cheese, lettuce, corn salsa, mild salsa, a sour cream and a green goddess drizzle. With a little drizzle of hot sauce at the table it was perfect! The tortilla was nice and thin and the pork was flavorful. Overall it was great and everything tasted very fresh.

Greetings Yelpers and welcome to another review of food, this one in Utah. As anyone who reads my reviews knows, I am always searching for the Best Tacos in America. I found this restaurant by accident when J made a wrong turn on my way to Bryce Canyon and found myself heading to Arches. This mistake turned out to be in our favor as we stopped to look at the map and across the street was Outlaws! Knowing Bryce was 3.5 hrs back and Arches was only 2 hrs forward we stopped to eat and were pleasantly surprised. This establishment is off the beaten path, but is clean, roomy and has a nice porch to eat outside. Came inside and was helped quickly, it was post lunch time, but many tables outside were taken and more filling up inside. Ordered 3 Tacos, Chicken, Pork, and Beef had a choice of topping and sauce. All 3 meats were tender and juicy as if just cooked and served, they did not appear to be reheated. These tacos were so good, I have them in a tie with my top Taco choice of all time down in Miami. The other 3 in my party all raved about their Taco's and Burritos. The folks behind the counter were friendly and helpful and we let them know how much we all enjoyed their food. I would have bagged Arches, had dinner, enjoyed the live music a few blocks away and stayed at the Motel across the street unfortunately they didn't allow pets. Hope this place sticks around, they are at a cross road and on the way to Lake Powell so they should get some traffic. This place is to far for a Taco run for me, about 3 hrs, but will make it a point if in the area again stop in.

Super friendly people and fantastic food. You get a ton of options to build a rice bowl, a burrito, or a taco. I don't think you can go wrong with choices, but the Mexican Goddess sauce was outstanding. Wherever you're coming from in this part of Utah, this is worth the drive. Three of us had just finished hiking for the day and left here full and happy.

What a fantastic addition to this crossroads. We were warmly greeted by the lovely owner and built burritos from the extensive list of fresh ingredient options, right down to homemade drizzles. Everything was expertly prepared and incredibly tasty. A healthy, hearty meal washed down with a cold beer and an excellent value, too. Fuel for your desert adventures. Not only were we welcomed, but we were checked on to make sure we liked our food (and could barely answer, eagerly nodding as we inhaled it), but we were also genuinely thanked for our business. That is how you do it, folks, right? Talk about feeling appreciated as well as satisfied. Simple stuff but builds loyalty. I wish nothing but success for you. This will certainly be our standard stop when heading to the San Rafael Swell and the Reef from now on!

Went canyoneering with a friend who lives in the area and when it comes to food, he just couldn't wait for the "tacos." Turned out this is where those tacos are sold and they didn't disappoint. Got a margarita on the side and it's a good meal after a long day. Clean place and friendly staff! Highly recommended.

We are travelling through Utah and visiting Goblin Valley. Stopped for gas and they recommended this place. Their specialty appears to be a build-a-burrito. The burrito I built was amazing. All the ingredients are fresh and taste amazing. The restaurant has a Southwestern flair. There are about six tables outside with a great view. The prices are quite good. My wife highly recommends the margarita.

We are so glad we stopped by for dinner on our way to Moab. We loved the Pineapple Mango topping and the Jacomole + Mexican Goddess drizzles! The food came out so quickly, and the service was very welcoming. Great food with a relaxed atmosphere.

These folks have figured out how to run a restaurant in a land of either many tourists or remote traffic. The food is fresh and fast and the owners are friendly and helpful. Happy we found it!
