This private club is super casual, right on end point of Waikiki Beach near Diamond Head with a beautiful view down the entire beach. Great bar. Food an service is good, although not super fancy. You can jump right in the waves or paddle around. Excellent angle for watching the sunset.

Google
We were invited by a member to the club for drinks and food. Once we arrived were were seated at a small table for three of us, but once the server saw this, she cleaned a larger table and moved us over to that right away. We ordered a round of Mai Tais and that is the drink of choice in Hawaii. These were delicious and I had at least two more. We also ordered a few appetizers and they were all good. All this great food and drinks along with the wonderful view make this a great place to spend a night.

Google
Amazing view, best burgers and fish tacos, had a monk seal swimming in front of us today, very friendly staff, best sunsets

Went with friends (members). Good food, nice atmosphere, and amazing views of the city at night.

Google
Great place to hang out! Small beach but very nice with very friendly staff. Very delicious foods! Went there for a lunch and a dinner. 😋😋😋. Highly recommend if you can go with a member.

Beautiful setting for a wedding with apparently storied location/club. Food and music were excellent. Adjacent to beach access. Friendly staff.

Yelp
We had our SoHa Christmas party at the Outrigger Canoe Club, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The food, drinks, and service were all amazing--everything was delicious and beautifully presented. A huge shout-out to Jordan, Tiare, and Sarah for their outstanding and professional customer service. They truly went above and beyond to make sure our event ran smoothly and that everyone felt taken care of. Their positive energy and attention to detail made the night even more special. All the staff were incredible from front of house to the back The sunset view was breathtaking, the atmosphere was incredible, and the overall vibes were just perfect for a holiday celebration. Highly recommend this place for events or a memorable dining experience!

Yelp
The Outrigger is a private club. Our family has a membership so we can use the facilities, including the dining room. The meals are consistently good and the service is impeccable. I look forward to the oceanside seating and watching the sunsets with family. My granddaughter likes to play in the sand or visit the beach. Dinner, last Friday, was fabulous. Reservations are generally necessary most nights. We arrived early to take advantage of Happy Hour. We always order truffle fries to share. My daughter and I split a Bee Sting pizza. The pizza has local honey drizzled on top of pepperoni. A little decadent, indeed. My son-in-law has a poke bowl, which he engineers like a salad. The drinks keep coming. We also share zucchini fries in the name of healthy. The fries are crunchy and the zucchini melts in your mouth. We save room for dessert, which is always a treat. I had a bowl of their lilikoi ice cream, which was phenomenal. My daughter had a carrot cake loaf which takes 20 minutes to prepare and is totally shareable. We take a break from dinner to take pictures of the spectacular sunset. On Fridays, you can even watch fireworks over Honolulu from your table. Kelly, our server, was attentive, fun and provided downright fabulous aloha service. All the service folks are friendly and attentive, but I will request Kelly when possible. The Club offers workout facilities with showers. My kids have participated on the rowing team, which is a foundational activity of the Club. As for me, I like watching the canoes glide across the water. The Club offers special seasonal events. A small parking garage is available for parking. The facilities are handicapped and stroller friendly.

Yelp
Private function. Service was good and food and company was good. Highlight for me was the two seals on the beach. Arrived 3 hrs before I saw them. A 7 year old and 8 year old. Both male. They were sun bathing so not much movement. Great treat to watch.

Yelp
I was in invited to a work dinner event at the Outrigger Canoe Club. We were treated to a buffet style dinner in one of their private rooms. The menu consisted of a couple of appetizers that we got to choose from: seafood, spring rolls, goat cheese toast, edamame, and coconut shrimp. The main course consisted of salad, mediterranean cous cous salad, rolls, rice, roasted vegetables, grilled lemongrass chicken, braised short ribs, lemon caper mahi-mahi. There were also two small dessert items that were up titled chefs choice canapé duo. One was the chocolate mousse cup, and the other was a Lilikoi tart. I really enjoyed the buffet style dinner because it gave everybody the option to eat as much of the items they liked plus there were leftovers that we were able to take home. My favorite was the Mediterranean couscous salad because it paired really nicely with their celery seed dressing. The chicken was perfectly moist and flavorful, but it reminded me of a shoyu chicken. I heard the slow braised short ribs were very tender. However, I think the mahi-mahi was a little overdone. Dessert was perfect because you were able to choose which one you liked and then you can also take multiple if you liked one more than the other. The view was perfect from the private room. We had a reservation scheduled for 6 PM and we just missed the sunset in November. But I expect maybe other times of the year, you can catch the sun setting into the ocean.

Yelp
Sometimes you just need to relax and remember how lucky you are to live in Hawaii! Pau Hana Friday is so relaxing enjoying Happy Hour at Outrigger Canoe Club for some delicious local dishes along with some refreshing "pretty drinks"! Our favorite is the fresh Mahi plate! It never disappoints! Truffle fries is a must! Served hot and fresh, a favorite among our mainland friends! You can't go wrong with ordering the poke and calamari. The pizzas, salads and soups are all pretty good too! The menu offers a nice selection to please locals as well as guests visiting from out-of-town! Excellent service every-time! ! If you enjoying dinner around 8PM, sit outside to enjoy the Hilton Hotel fireworks on Friday night! Cheers!

Jennifer G.

Yelp
We never miss the opportunity to enjoy dinner on the lanai. We have reciprocal privileges through the Hilo Yacht Club and truly appreciate the opportunity to enjoy the club. The team is so kind and welcoming. The food consistent and quite enjoyable.

Suzie R.

Yelp
We had an amazing work event dinner here. The service was THE best especially whenever I wanted a soft drink...mahalo! The selection of food on the buffet was very good and I loved that they marked what was gluten free...Mahalo again! The space and accommodations were perfect for our group size and what an amazing treat to be able to check out this private club.

Isaiah M.

Yelp
Just a warning this place is expensive. I bought a poke bowl for $20 dollars, it came with 6 pieces of poke and a scoop of rice. Can get better poke from food land for 1/4 of the price.
google avatar

Carly Grace H.

Yelp
Food was moderate in taste and price. The draw is more of a private ambiance and open ocean front dinning experience. We had fun. My salmon could have used more strawberry salsa. Manager note: photos can not include other patrons of the space for privacy reasons
google avatar

Michelle J.

Yelp
Great service and beautiful sunset views. Location is practically on the beach. Appetizers were excellent. Garlic fries, calamari and coconut shrimp. Dinner options were ok.

Perry R.

Yelp
We were invited by our friends who are members. Great relaxing atmosphere. Food was great and convenient both from the "snack shack" as well as the restaurant. The beach was fun too.

Yelp
You need to be a member so I was lucky enough to be invited for a club luncheon! There was 14 of us so we had a nice long rectangular table in a private room off to the side! So breezy, airy and spacious! Who needs air conditioning when you have the cool trade wind breezes! It such a beautiful setting with just footsteps.to the beach! Amazing views with amazing staff! Our server, Josh, is very nice, friendly, and prompt! With 14 of us, he patiently took our orders correctly and efficiently! Kudos to Josh! The Menu has a variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pizza and desserts! I had the soft shell crab blt with.thin crispy French fries! I love soft shell crab so when it's on a menu, it's a Must! The soft shell crab is covered with cornmeal which is a little heavy so a little over done but I still liked it with the bacon! It was delicious, came with a dill pickle to top it off! Also, I had dessert! A coffee ice cream mud pie with nuts sprinkled around the plate! I love coffee ice cream so so delicious! The chocolate cookie crust was too hard to break off but was glad the nuts were not on or in the pie cause not a fan of nuts! Perfect luncheon with delicious foods and amazing setting! Hope to be invited back!!

Yelp
We were invited to lunch by a long time member. We arrived on time for our reservations and were promptly seated at a wonderful table with epic views. The waiter was very good and I would venture a guess that he was at our table as our butts hit the seats bringing us water. He took a drink order as we looked at the menu. Generous pours on the drinks, very good and very tasty. We ordered crunchy coconut shrimp and calamari for appetizers. Both dishes were served piping hot, each in and of its own, was delicious. For lunch I had a burger and as did one of my other colleagues, the other 2 went with Cobb salad. Everybody's food was impressive from the delivery, looking scrumptious and begging to be eaten. My burger was awesome, I love burgers and I put this one up in the 3, juicy, seasoned well, and cooked to perfection. We all loved every minute of our dining experience and would be stoked to do it again.

Yelp
Dined here many times and I've always had the same order. The Mahi Mahi and Grasshopper Pie. (with real grasshoppers - IYKYK) Staff here is simply amazing and the views of Waikiki and the Pacific Ocean never get old.
google avatar

Rebecca D.

Yelp
I was able to join my friends here for dinner on the lanai two different times. You must be a member to come here. Casual, but upscale dining with friendly staff and great food and drink selections. Both times there were local musicians setting the mood. This time we had a couple in Hawaiian dress playing and singing Hawaiian songs visiting each table. The blackened salmon salad and calamari were great. The sunset is great and especially great service from our waitress, Annisse. Great place to view the sunset.

Yelp
My brother brought us here for our mother's actual birthday dinner. We sat by the water and it was so beautiful and perfect. My brother, his girlfriend and mom ordered cocktails and they said they're very stiff and good! We started out with garlic(love garlic)edamame, fried calamari and coconut shrimp. They were so delicious, especially the garlic edamame! I'm not a big fan of edamame, but I totally dug the garlic version! For main entrees, we ordered Mahi Mahi, Caesar salad, vegan Thai curry with Tofu and couple sushi rolls. We finished off with desserts(I forgot to take pics)(Grass Hopper pie, 2 vanilla gelato). Our waitress was very friendly, kind and very attentive. I believe all the servers work together which is so wonderful. I'd say that it was very good experience and throughly enjoyed their cuisine!

Dorota S.

Yelp
Service was great. Food was delicious. The truffle fries were the best. Everything is priced well and you can't beat the ocean and in the background
google avatar

Boris S.

Yelp
The restaurant, staff, and food are amazing. I ordered the coconut shrimp and BBQ ribs. Everything is excellent! It's a private club so you must be a member or their guest to enter.
google avatar

Enrique V.

Yelp
Great place to eat. We came here for my moms birthday with some friends that are members and everything was perfect. The food was good and so are the drinks.

Johnny S.

Yelp
What a wonderful experience. The food is very good and the ambiance is inspiring. It's a beautiful place to enjoy the sunset on the beach of Waikiki. If you are looking for a sports/social club this must be on your short list of options.
google avatar

Rob B.

Yelp
The setting could not be better and service as well! A visiting guest took us as we are not members. I am not sure if the excessively spaced tables is a Covid measure but it was very private feeling. We enjoyed everything especially the sunset, right as we arrived. Ask about the Prime Rib and sV3 room for dessert!
google avatar

Joy L.

Yelp
Sometimes we walk from the Hyatt, and at times we take an Uber/Lift. Appetizers were great ( coconut shrimp, calamari, sushi rolls, and edamame). Dinner was okay, but the dragonfruit gelato was great. View--spectacular!

Russ H.

Yelp
Great place to visit for a good meal should you be in Honolulu and be a member at an affiliated club somewhere in the USA. Staff were all very kind and the food choices were varied and all were enjoyed.

Ron S.

Yelp
Their version of a mai tai is fabulous and appetizers are great. The view is amazing. Nothing but fun.

Kiera M.

Yelp
I witnessed my friend crack her head open, almost die, and then get fired from here because of it. She was on her last strike for missing work, yes, but she was hospitalized overnight with a cracked skull and a concussion. She went into work before her staples were even removed, still concussed, and with her discharge summary... yet they still fired her on the spot for being HOSPITALIZED. What an absolute joke of a management team and HR. They should be truly ashamed of themselves. Her blood is still covering the hallways in my apartment building a month later btw.
google avatar

Toma C.

Yelp
This club had a lot of out door activities and sport. Our friend is a member here and invited us to dinner. The happy hour was nice and the food was delicious beautiful views too. The coconut shrimp was very large and crispy. The fried calamari smaller pieces but devious. The spicy tuna roll was very tasty yummy yum. The mahi mahi with butter sauce airless dry but tasty. The poke bowl was okay.
google avatar

Reh L.

Yelp
Great venue, but requires a membership to dine there. Drinks were hit and miss, peach bellini was good but mai thai was a miss. Food was decent, we tried the mahi mahi plate and blackened salmon salad; the seafood was delicious as well as the sauces, and the sides were fine. The desserts were excellent! We liked the yuzu tiramisu, mud pie, and banana pudding.
google avatar

Jenny L.

Yelp
Attended my work's staff meeting here at Outrigger Canoe Club. The food, service and views were beautiful and amazing. Outdoor open air style seating and it had cool winds that day. Relaxing place with a quiet ambiance so we can get down to business. Their braised beef and panna cotta were to die for , the beef was super soft and melts in the mouth. I loved it so much I had to bring some home for dinner later that night. As for the panna cotta, it was my first time having a lychee flavored panna cotta and I loved it! Very light and refreshing. Highly recommend this place to anyone with a need for a meeting or a brunch out with family/friends . Thank you Sam for your wonderful service !

Jonn K.

Yelp
I'm very impressed. The facility is well manicured with plants and trees. The dining areas are spacious, and they open up to the view of the ocean with breezes flowing through. Service is professional, and the ambience is definitely ritzy by the casual Hawaii standards. Private parking is available. Additional amenities include a small sandy area for sunbathing, sand volleyball courts, outdoor dining area, and I'm sure I missed something else during my first visit. By far, this club, even without yachts, is very impressive.

Bertie P.

Yelp
took hella long for no reason. i asked for like so long and they didnt ever give me my food they bums fr
google avatar

Jess C.

Yelp
5 stars for a stunning ocean view and convenient access to the beach. 3 stars for a no frills basic buffet. Highlights: fresh eggs in made to order omelets. Low lights: bisquick pancakes and waffles, average fried rice, disappointing dessert station.
google avatar

VENA S.

Yelp
We had been invited by our family who frequent the Outrigger canoe club. It wa a snack bar on the beach. We had a big group that outnumbered the cooks. But all our orders were correct and so delicious! We enjoyed our brunch under a covered patio, looking at the ocean! Perfect!
google avatar

Bonnie G.

Yelp
The food is just okay here, but the view is gorgeous at this members-only fancy (for Hawaii) club. Try to get a table by the water and book a dinner around 5pm to watch the sunset.
google avatar

Russel P.

Yelp
Probably one of my favorite places to eat! Food is always a hit, drinks are delicious, and the service is always top-notch - if you have a membership or somebody you know invites you to eat here, definitely would recommend going here! You can also get a great view of the fireworks on Friday nights; any other time, you get a mighty beautiful view to enjoy your food and company with.
google avatar

Debra D.

Yelp
I went to the Outrigger on 1/2/23. For my half sisters, funeral/celebration. Auwe! Since I had jet lag the night, before. I had flown from LA to Hilo.I accidentally missed my 6 am flight, out from Hilo. I tried so hard (I am disabled), To get to the celebration, on time. I missed it by 15 minutes. The young lady at the front. Refused to let me "destress" by buying myself, lunch. I was devastated..My father surfed at the Outrigger, for years. This part Hawaiian felt such a cold heart, from this company. It certainly isn't like it use to be,back in the day!!'
google avatar

Laura P.

Yelp
This club is amazing if you are lucky enough to to have a membership or know someone who does. Hidden treasure, away from the crowds of Waikiki. Private beach where you can enjoy a delicious classic Bloody Mary.
google avatar

Ranjan P.

Yelp
Awesome beach and canoe rental, super convenient because it's located on the beach itself. There's zero driving, you don't need to rent the canoe and latch or strap it to the car, drive it to some ridiculous distance, no, this us where you rent it and literally paddle into the ocean within minutes. Beautiful sand, smooth and balmy, with volley ball nets, and beach umbrellas. It's actually more than a simple canoe rental place and it's from being rundown or a shack. It has a charming beatnik (do people even use that word anymore :-) vibe. Very sweet little operation with the type of people running out who you'd expect--laid back, friendly, chill.
google avatar

Tim E.

Yelp
Very disappointed with todays breakfast buffet. Don't be mislead by the pics shown from 2 yrs ago. There's less than half of what they used to have. No OCC mahi, chicken or hash browns. Fruit was pineapple and melon only, no berries, cereal or yogurt. Limited pastries and bread with zero desserts. $25/person. Better to just order the OCC breakfast plate for $10. Servers were pleasant. Covid and the economy has killed most establishments unfortunately. An interesting observation, they include hash browns on the OCC breakfast plate for $10 but there are none on the buffet.

Josh C.

Yelp
My grandmother is a member here and gets me a temporary membership when we are in town visiting her. The food is always wonderful and the staff are friendly and wonderful.
google avatar

Lisa J.

Yelp
This is the best members only club in Honolulu. I have so many great memories here over the years since I am good friends with families that are members here. I love coming here for dinner to watch the sunset on a Friday night!
google avatar

Rani R.

Yelp
Best place in Waikiki fir a sunset dinner. I'm not a member but was lucky enough to be invited to dinner here and they place is great. The service here is awesome. To me the staff makes the difference and they have a great staff. If someone invites you go for it
google avatar

Pui-See Y.

Yelp
This is a member only club. My friend's friend is a member and got us a week pass while we were on vacation. Gotta say pretty cool deal. You get to use all their amenities and everything is up to par. The locker room looks like Burke Williams with everything you need from shampoo to q-tips to blowdryer to probably even make up! I didn't venture all that because our hotel was just two doors down, but I'm sure it wouldn't disappoint. We did have a really nice dinner there out by the water. We were right next to the wall of water. If it was high tide, I think we would be swimming in our food! JK. But the view was just amazing, watching the sun setting, sails far in the distance, flanking palm trees, and great company. Can't ask for better times. I had the ahi entree and that was delicious, but it's not much. So if you're hungry prep yourself with an app, salad, or order extra food. Everybody else seemed to like their food, but I was just mesmerized by the sunset. The next few days we took out an outrigger canoe. Our friend was going to take us canoe surfing and THAT was amazeballs. I have never surfed before, but to canoe surf first? Coolio! It was a nice experience. If I go to Hawaii enough, I may just join!!! But I think there's some age limitations or rules. Check in on that if you're interested. =) (I wanna go back!)
google avatar

Leah E.

Yelp
This is a private club, so start looking for a member now! My review is for Sunday brunch. Brunch is literally my favorite meal of the day! There are so many great places to eat brunch on Oahu! But, none with a view like this! And the price/value shut up! Also I couldn't get over how extensive the spread was! There's no one else on the island that can even compete. Omelettes, fried rice, corned beef hash, special mahi mahi, Portuguese sausage, crepes, waffle iron. Run don't walk! I cannot wait to go back to OCC!!!!!
google avatar

John F.

Yelp
Although I am NOT a member, I really enjoy being invited to the Outrigger Canoe Club. They have a very clean multi level parking structure directly in front of their ocean view facility. I was there for a wedding years ago and most recently I was there for Charles Djou's fundraiser. They have a friendly bartender though not as generous pours as other places but the food was definitely good. We enjoyed a multi-course meal. I chose the steak and mom took the salmon. The views are beautiful. Definitely a place to go for a sunset dinner. If I were anything of a beach person it would definitely be on my list of places to join but since I'm not an outdoor person it is not really worth it for me. If you are ever invited make every effort to attend whatever event is held there. It's an amazing location!
google avatar

Shar I.

Yelp
We were fortunate to be invited for dinner. The service was attentive, the food was good & the sunset view was lovely.
google avatar

Scott L.

Yelp
My Wife's client is a longtime member and put our name in for a temporary visitor membership. Paid a small fee for a pass for a number of days and had lunch on a windy day. Excellent service and food selection is decent. However, you go here for the great view, excellent service, and the exclusivity. Majority of the folks eating here were being entertained by members or celebrating a special occasion. Large groups of society elites sitting here and there at various tables.
google avatar

Courtney O.

Yelp
I was lucky enough to enjoy happy hour at OCC with a few friends. This place is so awesome. The views are spectacular because the club is located far enough from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki down Kapiolani Park. It is a members only club so access to the beach as well as the restaurant are for members only. They have great happy hour specials with draft beers for only $3. What a steal! They also have good pupus to enjoy as well. Grateful for a chance to come here and enjoy some time with friends.

Shan C.

Yelp
Great view! Large plates! The tacos are an appetizer but don't be fooled! It's huge! The beef stew is lighter than most. Potatoes were undercooked. Salad is refreshing! Did I mention....frozen rose all day?!? Sandy toes, sunshine, blue seas and an ocean breeze!
