OUTRIGGER Fiji Beach Resort

Everything was top notch. We had an ocean view room. It was large and beautiful with a balcony overlooking the ocean. Very comfortable with excellent service throughout the resort. Every staff member greets you, asks your name, shakes your hand. Drinks of your choice and canapes are delivered to your room every evening and a sealed bottle of water is delivered every night. Numerous restaurants, bars, activities. You never feel crowded. A beautiful setting for a fun relaxing stay.

Fantastic hotel, the staff are amazing and the new upgrades/refurbishments are gorgeous. Highly recommend. As a returnee guest to Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort, we cannot recommend the resort more highly. The staff's level of care, joy, love and enthusiasm towards guests and guest needs are unmatched. Staff show an acute attention to detail, and do their best to get to know each guest personally. Every staff member greets you with a friendly 'Bula', creating a warm, fun atmosphere. ||The free activities are good fun, the snorkelling, kayaking and paddle boarding are great at high tide. I found lots to see snorkelling, especially clusters of nemo fish. We liked the bonfire and playing musical statues as the vibes were fun and everyone got involved. ||As someone who has an allergy, the staff, especially the new chef were extremely careful about my allergy. They consistently offered to make me fresh batches of food to avoid any cross contamination, and took every precaution to ensure I was safe. I found that there were many vegetarian food options available, and particularly enjoyed the Asian themed buffet. The morning buffet was good - we liked the coffee machine options. At times the line to get into the buffet were long, but staff moved quickly to ensure this continued to flow through. ||The new shaded areas by the pool were much needed and make a big difference, and the daily chlorine readings and pool checking is fabulous. We didn't use it but the new blow up inflatable seemed to be very popular with children. ||Baravi restaurant staff were a particular stand out, and their lunch menu has lots of good options. We did wish that Sundowner still did dine-in pizza at dinner time as pizza is great from there. Sideen the exec assistant manager is fantastic, and very hospitable. He is an asset to the team and was seen on multiple occasions stepping in to help out his staff. Jack Johnson is similarly amazing, and despite being incredibly busy took time to say a friendly 'bula'. Vinaka. ||We went over for a wedding and the wedding was fabulous, and very well planned on all ends. The Bebe Spa is AMAZING and the chapel was stunning. Stayed here for a few nights in September 2024. The Kalo Kalo bar was amazing , the highlight of our Fiji trip. I still think about the beautiful views from there and the great service we received at the bar. Overall the hotel stay was okay, the rooms were a bit outdated and the butler service wasn’t worth it. The service at the other restaurants/bars wasn’t great, the food was overpriced for the quality and portions and the service was really slow and servers were not enthusiastic. The property grounds themselves are really nice but not sure if will be back until there are better food options and better service at the restaurants

Beautiful & Welcoming Outrigger Fiji is a stunning resort with a true island charm. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, friendly, and made us feel at home. The grounds are lush and beautifully kept, the pools are inviting, and the beach is gorgeous for relaxing and enjoying the view. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable with a lovely tropical feel. The whole experience feels relaxed yet special — perfect for families and anyone wanting to enjoy Fijian hospitality at its best. Truly a wonderful place to stay.

The Outrigger was a fabulous family stay for first timers due to attending my niece's wedding where we all traveled from different parts of the world to witness the special day.|Upon the arrival day with the openness  and the great service at the reception area for check in to the luggage being delivered to our room with such warmth & smiles all around.|We stayed for 3nights and purchased the half board meals and kids eat free was a very convenient way to go. The garden view rooms were top notch as we still got to see from a far the ocean line and the surrounding areas. The rooms were roomy including the bathrooms the only negative were there were no small clothes line or rack for the swimming clothing. I loved how the rooms were serviced daily and appreciated the towel service too. The buggy service was my best friend especially being on laundry duty lol The buffet breaky and dinners were very accommodating for all different types of tastes and my children voted it the best especially the dessert area. |The kids club services were very forth coming and the staff very lovely to my children & they thoroughly enjoyed their time. |The adult pool was a wonderful tiny break from the kids and the purple rain cocktails 👌 The rest of the pool area had great slides and shaded areas and toilets, eateries and even the smoke areas were close too. Highlight was the access to the beach area and the famous Outrigger swings to take pics for the memory bank.|Overall Outrigger had the atm, the local handicrafts, the shops, the souvenir, the self laundry area and the kids loved the virtual gaming too they had a ball !!|Vinaka

I could never really express how perfect this resort is on this review. We came here for our honeymoon two weeks ago, and I already feel homesick for it! The staff are the real superstars here. They were all so warm, and helpful, and make you feel like family! Accessibility was the one of the two biggest factors in choosing a hotel as I am in a wheelchair; but everything was a breeze accessibility wise. Cultural immersion was the other consideration; and this hotel had regular Fijiqn experiences! From lovo night at the buffet weekly, the cultural experiences twice weekly, kava ceremony’s, Fijian artisans… it was perfect!! And the spa, is truly the most beautiful place! 😍|I’ve never been on a real vacation before this one, and I can honestly say, outrigger Fiji was completely perfect!!!

BEWARE - of the overcharge trick that happened to us. After a family holiday my wife was at reception paying the final bill. She called me over when she was told that her credit card did not work. I said that strange so presented my card (which is a linked card with my wife’s. so same account) It went through without a problem. The day after we got home I checked my statement and noticed that both card changes went through but at different amounts. $ 422.96 & $532.37 AUD same date similar times. The closing resort account was $613.73 Fiji dollars. My attempts to call and email them have all been ignored, hence my post as a warning to others. We had paid our accommodation prior to arriving and on arrival paid for the food & beverage package. SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN PAYING YOUR ACCOUNT ON CHECKING OUT THAT THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN TO YOU. IM ALSO NOT SURE IF THIS IS WHAT THEY DO ACROSS ALL OUTRIGGER RESORTS. Tony B

We had a great week staying at the Outrigger for our family vacation. The resort facilities are wonderful and the kids (12 and 14) enjoyed the daily activities on offer particularly volleyball in the morning and the afternoons. Special thanks to Semi and his partner who ran these activities, you guys were a highlight of the kids trip. They really enjoyed the banter, laughs and friendly competition - even if Semis team won more often than not 😂|The food at the resort is tasty and fresh. We've had trips previously where we struggled to find fresh healthy choices on offer. The buffet breakfast is a great start to the day and if you love meat head to the Sundowner for dinner - lots of steak on the menu (just make sure you use a dinner voucher to pay for this one or else it will get expensive). |Our only negative experience at the outrigger was on check in - we found it very odd that as soon as we arrived we were asked to pay for our full accommodation cost plus have a bond placed on the card for incidentals- there was an issue processing the payment and it took a bit of sorting. This put a bit of tamper on the start of our holiday as its not the most welcoming or relaxing way to start our vacation. Other than that we had a wonderful holiday and look forward to returning again sometime soon. ||Nearly forgot to mention our wonderful Talai butler for the week - Maggy she is a real treasure and it was lovely to see her each afternoon, the kids very much looked forward to their daily canapes and soft drinks ||Kind regards |Sandra Hanson and Co.
