Wonderful family time at Outrigger. We spent a week at the resort with kids age 7 and 5. We were made to feel so welcome by everyone working at the resort and the facilities for kids were fantastic - the kids area of the pool was exceptional and felt very safe. |Choice of restaurants were wonderful and the kids ate free! We had some fabulous meals. The adults only pool area was also a really nice escape. |The most wonderful part for us was the childcare. The kids club and the Mei Mei service were wonderful and looked after our two exceptionally well. We felt completely secure leaving them and they had so much fun meeting lots of other children and doing the activities. |Everyone was wonderful but special mention to Miriana our wonderful MeiMei whom the kids didn’t want to leave! Truly a wonderful woman. And Maria our Talai butler who learnt all our names and was so wonderful every day. And Manasa up at the sunset bar who took the time to chat and get to know us and tell us all about his life and family. |And just to mention Dengue - we were worried given the outbreak but we didn’t see a single mosquito or get a single bite - the resort have been exceptional at pest control to help with this.|We will definitely be back - Sota Tale!

I have to say that I’ve never met such a culture that is so humble and kind and more than willing to help out in any shape or form. The restaurants were beautiful. The food was amazing. I really enjoyed doing the all inclusive package. It made it also easy. You didn’t have to leave the resort at all because you had so much Variety of different food.|Everyone was so friendly the bed was comfortable. The room was comfortable. The room was very clean. There was only one day that we had an issue and they fixed it up immediately. The butler we had was funny in a very kind young man. You will not be disappointed staying here.

Lovely stay at Outrigger resort. LOVED the quiet adults only area. Excellent food all around. Previous reviews state concern about the service. Service was slow and mistakes were made. However, the Fijian people take life at a slower pace and taking time to breathe in the sea air and enjoy the moment is actually very refreshing. Yes, some drinks and meals came slowly. But we loved the authentic feel, cheerful (and sometimes loud!) BULA!! and smiles all around. The spa here is a bit pricey, but there is a local option that offers transfers- Sigatoka Garden Spa. My husband and I spent a blissful morning there. Outrigger is a great location with a short taxi ride to Sigatoka town (great for shopping for Fiji-style dresses and shirts!). There are taxis always around and the reception will arrange transport for you. Highly recommended for families or couples. This place caters for everyone!

We stayed here 2 years ago and couldn’t fault it. Plenty of staff and great pool area. It was great for kids and adults. However now they have obviously cut back on staff and the pool has been taken over by a huge jumping castle, so if you want to swim you have to go to adults only pool. I guess good for families but not a relaxing atmosphere. Will try some place else next time.

We enjoyed a lovely family holiday at the Outrigger. It was our fourth holiday to Fiji. ||We were with our young adult children so we spent time at both the adult pool when everyone was having quiet time, then also they enjoyed the more vibrant kids pool for some water volleyball, lolling about in the shallow sections and of course a water slide to enter the pool when the water was a little fresh on the toes. Once in and splashing around, the temperature was very refreshing. ||There were a lot of young families as you would expect so make sure to consider this if it would interrupt your enjoyment of your holiday. ||The Talai butler service was included in our Ocean View room. Our service was by Laotur (sorry about the spelling!) She was so lovely to chat to as she delivered our complimentary drink and canapés. Generally we had a Fiji beer and a bubbles. Our children often had a soft drink. She also took into consideration our daughter and her boyfriend’s vegetarian diet. ||A negative about the resort in general, was the lack of vegetarian and especially vegan options. There was a vegetarian menu at some restaurants but only one or two of those were vegan. Adding to this, some of these meals were very small, meaning we had to order extra sides for them as without substantial plant based protein, you get hungry pretty quickly. At the breakfast buffet, there is so much food but again, little in the way of vegan options unless you want a curry breakfast. The staff tried to help but even one of the chefs was unclear of what a vegan diet is and wasn’t sure what was in all of the food. E.g. was there dairy in the pastries?||The barista in the main restaurant had oat, soy and almond milk for iced lattes so my daughters were happy to have the oat milk option. Joe was a stand out to them, tracking down oat milk for them at our last breakfast! Barista coffee was extra. An iced latte was 9.50FJD each. ||Service at the adult pool was a slight low point. We brought our family here to spend time together and they wouldn’t put two tables together for us to sit together for a breakfast. There were some issues with being double charged as well but it was sorted out.||We loved the chance to do Coral planting. This was a free activity and took us out to a great snorkelling area. We saw a range of colourful fish and some nemo like cuties wiggling in their anemones. ||Overall the resort has a lovely Fiji feel. We enjoyed it but would still visit an island preferably. We spent two nights afterwards at Denarau Island. Not the same warm feeling.||Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and the ‘Bula’s’ from the lovely staff attending to our rooms. We appreciate all you did for us.
