An awesome holiday, with super friendly staff. Plenty of activities for the kids to enjoy and a great pool with a slide, volleyball net and inflatable slide/ swing||Plenty of choice of restaurants and bars, buffet with different themes, grill/ pizza, asian, seafood, cocktail lounge and all of a high quality. Staff can be under the pump at times when they are at full capacity, with items being forgotten or slow, but relaxing into it and getting on fiji time, it didnt seem like as bigger stress as they would chase it up with a friendly reminder. ||The new apps/ billing system the staff used on ipads was frustrating as we were on a meal and drinks package and it wasn’t automatically deducted from our charges, so had to contest multiple incorrect charges every couple of days, which shouldnt happen at a 5 star resort and just added unnecessary conflict and stress to a relaxing holiday. The check in process was extremely long and slow and after travelling for hours on buses and planes, standing in line for 40 mins is the last thing you want to do. Alot couldve been sorted pre arrival. ||Rooms were clean, with a beautiful view of the ocean. ||Driving range and archery were good fun but fairly expensive. $50fjd for a bucket of balls and damaged clubs and 25 arrows. ||Water activities was a highlight with kayaking and snorkelling. Plenty of equipment to hire, but it is very dependent of tides, low tide is very shallow. Make sure to wear reef shoes as we saw several stone fish. ||Have been to the outrigger twice and keen to head back already.

Our first overseas holiday as a family and it could not have been better. A perfect family location with food and activities we could all enjoy together or separately. The resort was a long bus ride from the airport but it was definitely worth it. We could have easily stayed in the resort the whole time and been content with the range of activities and places to eat. |We did enjoy taking day trips to Sigatoka and on the Sigatoka river safari to the village. We also enjoyed going to the Crab Hut which was just outside the resort. |An incredibly welcoming, relaxing and fun place to stay

Me and my girlfriend went here on a short holiday after travelling around NZ, and wow we were shocked how amazing this resort is! It offers a range of amenities, restaurants and bars, pools and activities for all types of travellers, whether your a family, solo, couple or a big group this is the place to be. Me and my girlfriend couldn't fault anything about this resort and the staff are the nicest group of people we've ever met! They will go above and beyond to make your holiday amazing. Yes everything takes a little longer then usual but your on holiday in a beautiful place so me and my girlfriend always just ordered or went somewhere 10 minutes early and it was perfect! For the price and time we stayed it was so worth it and would love to come again if we ever end up back in the southern hemisphere (we are from UK)

AMAZING! I cannot rate the Outrigger highly enough. I travelled for my 40th birthday, with my 2 children (3yo & 5yo girls), and my parents. Everyone had a wonderful time. I utilised the 2 Mei Mei sessions and the girls established such a bond with their nannies. They were taught all about Fiji & their culture. For the rest of the trip they begged each day to go to kids club!||The food is wonderful. The buffet has a different theme each night, and there really is something for everyone. There are multiple restaurant options as well, including child- free. ||Staff are genuinely friendly and make an effort to learn your names. They are just wonderful people. As it was my 40th birthday, they sang to me multiple times and really made me feel special. ||The resort, while busy, never felt crowded. ||The rooms are spacious enough for families. My girls & I were in an Ocean View and it was plenty big enough for us. It was clean and well appointed. Fresh drinking water is brought to your room daily.||We brushed our teeth with the bottle water, as I'm paranoid about water bacteria, and we didn't get sick on our trip at all. ||Also, the mosquito's aren't as bad as they're made out to be. We applied repellent before going out of the room, but never actually saw a mozzie the entire time we were there, aside from going to the wildlife centre which is in a jungle setting.||There is entertainment everywhere you look at the Outrigger! Cultural displays are put on at the buffet at dinner times, singers move through the resort throughout the day, they had frog & crab racing for the kids. It's just wonderful. ||We fully intent to go back at the same time next year, and every chance we get after that!||I booked with Hoot Holidays, as their package price was the lowest and allowed me to book an all-inclusive stay for myself & my children were on a stay-play-eat-free package

My wife and I are seniors and we recently spent an enjoyable and relaxing week here. We came ten years ago , when we weren’t so senior, and the experience was consistent. Two things stick out, the magical location and the friendly and helpful staff. We spent a lot of time at the adult pool and enjoyed a continental breakfast there every morning. We also frequented the golf driving range and did a great Fijian cooking class ( shout out to chef Navneet Reddy).

Fantastic place with a lot of activities including snorkeling, kayaking, Zumba, coral planting and heaps more. They have an in hotel app to sort your logistics with. Waking to the ocean breeze and view is breath-taking! Rates are affordable for locals and tourists alike and they feed you like royalty! Gym is well equipped and the adult pool is such a nice and quiet place to relax. The porters are the best one can find and the friendliest:- I recommend "Jone" stroking all with the best humour on arrival!

This is the perfect family resort. Cheap compared to other options, a nice, shallow ocean, as well as a kids/teen club to entertain any children. Most of our trip was really good! The pool, even though it was a bit chilly as it was winter, was still full of other kids playing on the pool play structure as well as a slide, which my older kids found disappointingly slow. Still plenty big to swim around though, and the adult pool was practically empty when I went. The beach was unlike anything I've ever seen, being shockingly shallow for at least 1000ft ahead. It was great for kids, as waves break on rocks about a mile out, so all the water is really shallow. The beach was rocky, but I appreciated how it didn't feel artificial like some resort beaches. The ocean was also warmer than the pool so a very nice temperature. The craziest part of the ocean is probably that you can see fish just right there! They provide kayaking and snorkel gear to take out so you can see even more farther out. Like I said, the water is annoyingly shallow, but it was still incredible to be able to snorkel and kayak to see all the fish. The room was incredible. Not too far a walk to the pool and beach, and plenty spacious for the four of us. They also came around everyday at 5ish to give us free give free snacks and drinks, which was a really nice touch. The staff who gave to food and drink remembered my sons name which was super nice. Elaborating on the point of staff, everyone there is incredible. The resort is full of activity staff organizing volleyball games and pool activities which my kids loved. When some of my family got sick, they were there to get us whatever we needed which was just so kind. They also danced and sang at some meals which was so fun. The meals worked out fine. The food wasn't great. Breakfast was nice, but our lunch at the beachside restaurant didn't have the best food and one dinner at the poolside place took hours. But for the majority of the trip the meals worked out just fine. My only other complaint with the resort is the location. It's just so inconvenient to go anywhere. If you are planning to go on a snorkeling boat trip or anything they're happy to organize for you, but the car drive is over an hour. Overall I loved my experience at the outrigger. Aside from the location and some food, everything was great. If you're looking for a family friendly resort to spend all your time, I'd definitely recommend the outrigger.
