We stayed 7 nights at Outrigger, and unfortunately this resort does not meet 5-star standards. The only positives were the cool room during hot weather and the adults-only pool, which was the highlight of our stay. The rest of the experience was disappointing. The kids’ pool was dirty and poorly maintained, and my child became sick after using it, which was extremely concerning. The buffet breakfast area is not air-conditioned, making mornings very uncomfortable in hot weather. The furniture is old and dated, and hygiene standards were poor. Food service had no supervision — serving tongs were dropped and reused, and food was left exposed in a hot, non-air-conditioned area. Room service was unreliable. We ordered breakfast in the room and it arrived with burnt toast and missing items. Although it was corrected, it took over 30 minutes. In general, every request required multiple follow-ups via text or trips to reception, and often I simply gave up. For a resort claiming to be 5-star, the lack of basic amenities was unacceptable. There were no spare towels at the pools, including the adults-only pool. We waited two hours for towels and received only one, which is not reasonable. The beach is rocky and unusable, not suitable for swimming or walking. Bebe Spa: We were offered a complimentary meditation session as resort guests, which was very poorly delivered. The staff member read from a script, yawned during the session, and there was no background music. The experience felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. In our group of eight people, two became sick with gastro/belly bug and required a doctor visit. Overall, this stay was extremely disappointing and far below what is expected from a 5-star resort. We would not recommend this resort, especially for families.

Very beautiful and big resort with it's own private beach. Staff are very friendly. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The programs of activities are different everyday and many are free. A wildlife park and a golf driving range are on the other side of the main resort. There are open to public and no discount for hotel guests. You won't get bored even stay for a few days.

We had the best family holiday at Outrigger Fiji. The staff were absolutely fantastic. So friendly and accomodating, special mention to Suzy in the adult pool bar and Ele at the Beachfront Sundowner restaurant. They both went above and beyond to make our stay the best!! The hotel had the best facilities for a family with teenagers and the activities staff were brilliant with the kids, always entertaining them and making sure they had fun! The hotel actually exceeded our expectations. The rooms were cleaned daily and were a very high standard. The food in the restaurants were very tasty and had a great selection. We would go back in a heartbeat! Thanks to all the staff for our fantastic stay!! See you next time!! Vinaka 🙏🏻

Location was great for us. Nice and relaxing. We have a ocean view, the butler with drinks and canopies was a great touch, felt luxurious. Room could of done with a lick of paint. Service was amazing, spent a lot of time at the adult only area. Restaurants amazing you won't go hungry. Spa was amazing we did a sunburn treatment worked the magic. Staff go out of there way to make the trip amazing. Tipping is compulsory but I did because of the service

I had booked a 5‑night stay at OUTRIGGER Fiji Beach Resort for my family of five, spending CAD 2,659.45 for what we hoped would be a special holiday getaway. Instead, it turned into one of the most stressful and disheartening travel experiences we’ve ever had. On the very day we were supposed to fly to Fiji, our itinerary was unexpectedly changed, making it impossible for us to reach the island. Between the chaos, the emotional toll on our three children, and the enormous cost of trying to adjust flights, we reached out to the resort hoping for even a shred of understanding or flexibility. What we received instead was a cold, robotic response: “Our cancellation policy is no refund.” No empathy. No willingness to discuss options. No acknowledgment of the circumstances. Just the same dismissive line repeated over and over. For a resort that markets itself as family‑friendly and welcoming, the complete lack of compassion was shocking. During the holiday season—when you’d expect they can show some flexibility—we were met with indifference. It’s incredibly disappointing to know that a place we were excited to visit showed absolutely no care for guests facing genuine, unavoidable hardship. This experience has left such a bad taste that I’m not sure we’ll ever make it to Fiji in the future. A little understanding would have gone a long way, but instead we were left out thousands of dollars and with three heartbroken kids. I hope the resort rethinks how it treats families in difficult situations, because no one deserves to be dismissed the way we were.

We had a wonderful stay at Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort. The adults-only pool, called Vahavu , was fantastic—quiet and well-maintained, perfect for relaxation. The grounds were very well kept with beautiful traditional bures, and a special compliment goes to the staff around the pool for their friendliness and service. (Nanise, Susie, Samone and John) The bar up the hill, named Kalokalo , is a hidden gem and easily reachable by a pleasant 8-minute walk or by the golf cart shuttle for those who prefer. The sensational steaks were enjoyed down by the sea at the Sundowner Bar and Grill, which was a highlight of the dining experience. Unfortunately, the all-inclusive package is not truly all-inclusive. Drinks are only served between 11 AM and 9 PM, and the food selection is limited. There is also a strong push for upsells— for example, coffee at the buffet restaurant outside from the self catering machines from the coffee shop costs extra, which was not clearly communicated upfront. Even coconut drinks offered by the very friendly staff had additional charges without prior notice. We would describe the package as “much inclusive” rather than fully all-inclusive. Additionally, the beach and ocean were not as impressive as hoped, and communication with check-in staff and the app could be challenging at times. Overall, it was a lovely stay with great facilities and staff, but it is important to be aware of the limitations of the all-inclusive offering.

Honestly, The Outrigger is a magnificent establishment! It feels more like a large village than a hotel, given how vast the grounds are. The pools are superb, and simply walking out the back takes you straight to the beach. The gardens and grounds are immaculate and serene.|The buffet food is beautiful and classy, with themes that change regularly. The other restaurants are also world-class, especially the one overlooking the beach. Entertainment at the restaurants, provided by both staff and professional music performers was thoroughly enjoyable.|The staff were extraordinary; their work ethic, service, and uplifting demeanour were truly amazing. Congratulations to everyone involved in turning family holidays into magical memories.||Suggestions for ultimate perfection:|- Teen daughters found the pull out sofa bed mattress a bit hard|- Pillows of different firmness would be nice, or at least medium firmness (they all seemed soft and flat)|- issue a fob or add to room key the fact you are on an all inclusive package, so don’t have to say every time you eat/drink.||Will be back to this heavenly place.

Expect highest level of service at any time for your entire stay. We arrived in the evening and had a warm meet and greet. Managed on time for buffet dinner. We've been having a half board program, which lets us have free breakfasts and dinners and for kids also free lunch. This let us having a choice of where we want to have breakfast/ dinners, our favourites have been buffet restaurant and Sundowner bar (with their great steakes and entree-s). The room was quite comfy (we lived in 315 which got ocean views, recommended ♥️). It also allowed us free daily wines/kids drinks. As mentioned staff has been amazing throughout our stay. We stayed with 1.5 and 8 yo kids, and the little one got most attention 😀 , people genuinely are into kids and to ensure highest level of guests satisfaction. Pool and beach are very clean - have been regularly cleaned. The swimming equipment is free of charge, which made the whole experience smooth. There are lots of other activities, we played tennis and were regular in the gym. The hotel is also invested in eco. They plant new corals and made it like an educational programme for guests. And thanks for all the entertainment programs that run every day with of course thinging! Hoping to have our farewell song too during the breakfast in 2 days :)) Big thanks to all staff, from small to top, you are doing the right thing!
