Outrigger has plenty of resorts across the islands, and this is one of their newly acquired resorts. According to some other people we spoke to, prior to the acquisition, this resort started to look a little dumpy.
To be fair, I didn't see much change, but I still really liked the resort. The acquisition had just happened maybe a month before we got there, so there's progress to be made still!
We booked our room through VRBO, so we were treated a little differently than a traditional hotel guest. We were given a different wristband (which is what you need to enter your room, kinda like a music festival). Being a VRBO guest and not a hotel guest means you don't have access to beach towels, and the free lei making class, among other things that I personally didn't find super important.
We stayed in room 2416, and I loved the view from that room. We had a direct view of the pool/beach from there, which was so nice to wake up to every morning!
On Friday, they had hula dancing classes by the pool along with some performers.
There's two restaurants onsite and an unofficial Starbucks for your coffee needs. They also have a gym and hair salon (although hours looked limited).
You do have to pay for parking, which was $30/day, but a lot of Hawaii in general charges for parking, so it's part of your budget!
Overall, a decently priced hotel located extremely close to the airport!
