OUTRIGGER Mauritius Beach Resort

My husband and I booked the hotel.for a one night day. Due to the low season, we got a good price on AI basis, which was a nice surprise. |Check in was quick and smooth and we were in awe of our room's beachfront view. The room was lovely and spacious, with a welcoming round bathtub. Complimentary water, free toiletries and tea and coffee service were all too welcome.|But then came the cold shower! The buffet at the main restaurant was such a great deception! We were so looking forward to the Greek buffet for dinner but it was a joke of a buffet. There was hardly much variety, let alone of anything Greek. My husband and I were extremely disappointed and we made it known to the Restaurant manager, Sam. But then Sam went to such great lengths to salvage our birthday evening. He made sure we left the restaurant with a smile and we must say we have never met someone so passionate about and dedicated to his job. Thank you, Mr Sam, for making us feel like royalty. And how can we forget the practically 'pieds dans l'eau' table you set especially for us for lunch?! Just wow!! You are doing a great job out there at Outrigger!|On this note, we would also like to thank Mr Renga, who made us taste the best pina colada on the island and certainly the best pizza ourite as well. Wish could have met you before we checked out! Also, thanks to Meet, Sandra and Vick, who helped make our stay a pleasant one with their friendliness and charm.||

Such an amazing team at the bar especially Damini ..Kavi ..Jeremy at le Bleu bar. The drinks were very tasty.Thank you very much for such good services and also Nitish and Kooshal were very welcoming. We had a wonderful and memorable stay. Food was amazing with variety. Rooms clean and spacious with amazing sea views .we enjoyed every single moment. it was beyond our expectations and as family we rate this hotel 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ❤️❤️❤️

The hotel has great view and it looks really nice .. the room was really clean and we appreciate all the amenities that the hotel has provided however the cocktails and food were a dealbreaker for us .. This was the worst buffet ever ! The dinner and lunch buffet did not have much options! Even the cocktails were not tasty at Mercado! The service at the bar was really poor ! We had to wait over 30mins to have our cocktails.. we only enjoyed the breakfast but the dinner and lunch need to improved! ||The tv in the room as well was broken. ||Definitely my first and last time at Outrigger!

I recently stayed at OUTRIGGER Mauritius Beach Resort (second stay) and had an unforgettable experience. I booked a beachfront room and honestly, the view took my breath away every single morning. The room was spacious, beautifully maintained, and had every amenity I could possibly need for a truly comfortable and relaxing stay.||One of the highlights is The Plantation Club. It’s such a peaceful and elegant spot — the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease and can just slow down and enjoy the moment.||A big part of what made it so special was the hospitality of Mr. Dinson. He was simply remarkable — warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making guests feel cared for. He consistently went the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect. Honestly, he’s the heart of La Plantation restaurant and an example of what premium service should feel like.||I wholeheartedly recommend OUTRIGGER Mauritius Beach Resort, and if you get the chance to meet Mr. Dinson, you’ll know exactly why I’m writing this with such appreciation :) .

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Excellent Stay with a Few Caveats We stayed at Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort for five nights, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. We were a group of six and booked a beachfront family room, which was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The rooms are well-maintained, and the views of the turquoise-green Indian Ocean were truly breathtaking — just as Mauritius is often described: pristine and serene. The swimming pools are beautifully maintained, and the staff is extremely courteous and welcoming. We had opted for the Modified American Plan (breakfast and dinner), and the quality of food was excellent, especially for those who enjoy multi-cuisine options. However, there are a few areas where improvements could be made: • If you are vegetarian and Indian, or not used to an international or multi-cuisine palette, you might find the variety in breakfast and dinner limited. My wife, my friend’s wife, and even my son found it a bit difficult to find suitable options. • The hotel tends to get overcrowded, and staff appears overworked. For example, during breakfast, once cutlery is placed on tables, it’s rarely replenished for the next guests, and popular food items like croissants, green olives, and fruits aren’t always refilled once exhausted. This made the breakfast buffet feel a bit like a first come, first serve setup. Despite these minor issues, our overall stay was excellent, and the natural beauty of the location more than made up for the shortcomings. I’d happily give it 5 stars, but I hope the hotel takes note of these points to make the experience even better in the future. Highly recommended — especially for families and beach lovers!

Beautiful hotel, but our stay was made truly amazing by the manager at the plantation club, Dinson. He was so warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, I have never experienced such amazing hospitality, and my whole family were blown away by the service from him and his team, he’s an incredible asset to outrigger Mauritius. Would highly recommend booking a club suite just to have access to the plantation club, the experience is absolute luxury! Special shout out to Muzammill East Break at the edge water restaurant too, great service and brilliant hospitality, made our evening meals a very special experience.

Our recent winter stay at this resort was generally positive. The price was fantastic, and it's great that they offer family rooms, which are quite spacious. We were very impressed with the warm and courteous welcome from the reception and spa staff. However, the service at the restaurants and bar was not up to the same standard. ​A major highlight was the food—there was a wide variety of excellent dishes to choose from. The resort's layout is also very convenient, with all key facilities like the pool, kids' club, and restaurants located close to each other, which we appreciated. ​The main area for improvement is room maintenance. While the rooms are a good size, many of the handles and knobs felt loose and were almost breaking. We hope these issues are addressed because we would love to come back for another visit.

The resort offers a perfect balance of relaxation and adventure, making it ideal for couples, families, or solo travelers. OUTRIGGER Mauritius is a hidden gem, and we can’t wait to return for another magical stay in paradise.
