OUTRIGGER Phi Phi Island Resort

Attention: Be aware that the resort is a construction zone right now (January 2026) and the beach is full of dirt, trash and pollution from industrial boats delivering construction material. We can't understand the newest 5 star evaluation from this week. The resort surely isn't open. Be aware if you want to book a stay there.

Outrigger Phi Phi Island Resort is located on Laem Tong Beach. The sand is soft, the water is clean. The garden is clean, but old. 30 minutes on the boat, tired. Breakfast is good, lunch is good and dinner is cheap. The staff is cheerful, but the pool bar is late. It is possible to snorkel, but things are more expensive. There is peace, but it would be better to do something new. Perfect for those who want a vacation.

We had a wonderful stay at Zeavola resort. We booked an ocean front bungalow, 2 steps away from the lovely beach. The bungalow itself was very comfortable: spacious, good bed, large flatscreen tv with netflix, very good wifi,… really great! The breakfast was top as well! Good pool as an alternative to the beach in case you prefer that (not us). |I’m a bit surprised by the negative comments, so let me be add the following. |First of all, tractors on the beach are used to pickup travellers from the boats and get them back on. This happens like 4 a 5 times a day and didnt one second bother us. And of course we needed it ourselves as well. |Secondly, the (very large) beach is not private, as there are 2 or 3 other resorts. But not one single moment, I had the impression that it was crowded, on the contrary. There are also 3 local restaurants and a few mini-markets, which is actually a good thing because you can eat out. |And last but not least, security. Not one single moment, we had the impression that there were strangers hanging out, everything was very peaceful.|Overall, we had a great stay. Staff was super friendly, and the whole resort well maintained. We would love to be back!!

The best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I stayed here over Christmas for four nights and they were the best nights of our entire trip. The resort spared no expense for a fantastic Christmas party with live entertainment and fantastic food. I also booked a private candlelit dinner here and probably had the best three course meal I’ve ever had. The staff were exceptional, they cleaned our rooms every day, leaving little gifts for us which really showed the value of paying for this resort. I would recommend this resort to anybody visiting Thailand, I will certainly be heading back there as soon as I can!

This was an emotional trip back to Zeavola this April as we (my husband and i) knew it was the last time we would be staying there before the Hotel is closing for good.|This was our 14th time staying here, and like every other time before, we loved every second of our stay..... The resort, the beach, the scenery and staying amongst the nature in beautiful Koh Phi Phi with the incredible weather. We who'll hold these memories forever! We've been coming here for 17 years, every year ( minus Covid), and it's our home away from home!|It was wonderful to be a part of the final chapter and see our extended Zeavola Family (the staff) before the new chapter begins in November when the Hotel reopens with a new identity under the 'Outrigger Chain of Hotels. We are worried that they may not realise the uniqueness, the stunning beach and the fact that this hotel is like no other, in Thailand, and is so special set amongst the jungle and on that pristine, stunning beach. |A special callout on this trip to Nico ( food & bev team) who is a wonderful , professional and engaging young man - who really looks after the guests and goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and special and he always looks after us), Laila for her huge efforts to serve and smile, Poh - Baby Frog (you make us laugh) and Chef Satya (for his amazing food).|Keeping this brief, Zeavola is our perfect place on earth (we were married here and we have a "love tree" which we visit every year and our family & friends all look forward to hearing about our visits and photos of our tree every year), and we truly hope the new custodians of OutRigger do not change the hotel, the beach and the style of barefoot luxury too much. We planted a love tree many years ago and hope that our tree gets the opportunity to live on and grown high and strong with Outrigger. |Thankyou to all the Zeavola staff pay and present who become our friends. We will await to see what becomes of the hotel in Oct/Nov, and hope that the neighbour's blue tractor will stop driving past everyone relaxing on the beach and disrupting what is one of the most relaxing, pristine and beautiful beaches in Thailand! |We hope to return.....

This place was an amazing stay and is quite a gem - if you enjoy nature, it is a unique experience. The place is beautiful, clean and quiet. I also would like to highlight the kindness and professionalism of the staff, they’re very efficient and lovely. Ms Nok and Mr Bomb at the reception were very helpful and even arranged our transfer to the next hotel and island directly with them, while also booking the tickets for us on the boat. Aeom in the restaurant was also very helpful and kind. We booked the diving as well with them and Becca was great. My husband was really happy to see a leopard shark. Overall we would definitely recommend this place and we would go back - but do make your own diligence before going, it is not a resort similar to the other ones around as it is really focused on nature and the beauty of the surroundings.

Great place, quality 5*, very friendly, great service, lovely gardens, great beach, feels like paradise, food is good quality, drinks are good value. Guests are mostly European/Brits couples/families/groups but no young groups - it's a quiet place. Possible downsides - no sunset (but we did have a blood moon rise), pool is in the garden without view of beach (but beach is calm shallow warm great swimming), the beachfront rooms could have a better aspect - but both the village rooms and garden rooms are great. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing time at Zeavola in Dec 2019 and returned for another unforgettable family trip in Dec 2024. The stunning location with its pristine beach and lush greenery was loved by everyone, offering the perfect backdrop for relaxation and adventure. The resort staff made my mom's birthday incredibly special with a surprise celebration, adding a personal touch that we greatly appreciated. Dining at Zeavola was a highlight of our stay. Chef Satya and his team crafted amazing dishes that were both delicious and beautifully presented, while the service was impeccable—warm and attentive. Overall, Zeavola Resort provided us with a perfect blend of luxury and comfort, creating cherished family memories. We can't wait to visit again!
