Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort

Truly 4.5 out of 5 - I would stay here again for sure. If you want to be in the middle of all the action w/ direct access to Waikiki beach, and nightlife, this is an excellent place. If you want quiet to just hear the ocean w/ the door open, then this won't fit.😂 We had a wonderful time. Direct access to two restaurants, and the strip had loads of shopping from Rolex and Fendi to ABC convenience stores (every corner nearly) and local vendors. Oh and food and drink everywhere. Our first room had some minor unfinished maintenance, but they quickly got us an equivalent room. We had an ocean view room, which had a great view, but if you want a completely unimpeded view of the ocean, then pick an ocean front room (for more $$ of course). The room itself was comfortable and nicely decorated, but not luxurious - definitely paying for the location and view, which again were great. Hotel cleaning staff were very attentive and always asked if we needed anything when they saw us. The concierge was excellent and coordinated all our tours wonderfully, and were very accommodating. Front desk staff were very helpful, as were the valet. The only downside was maintenance, and minor construction happened to be occurring during the day at the hotel next door, so leaving the door open for the ocean breeze during the day would sometimes be too noisy. We arrived the night of 1/5 and left early 1/11/2025.

This hotel is not a resort. It is a city hotel on a beach. We were there for the holiday week and while we found the staff wonderful we would not return. The beach and pool area were extremely crowded to the point it was not relaxing at all to sit there. The rooms are large and clean but definitely dated. The lobby is okay but you need to take an escalator up from the street level making it feel less special. It is a good location if you are looking to be in the heart of Honolulu. We found it too much for us. It was very loud and super busy all the time. May be in a different week we would have had a more laid back experience. I think we would have preferred to stay out of the City next time. It really depends upon what your priorities are.

Love the balcony view. Lots of shopping. The ocean is beautiful. The elevator system can take a long time even with 3 elevators. The rooms are good size and contain lots of storage space. Could use a coffee table in front of the couch. The restaurants have good food. We had food vouchers for one meal a day. Well worth it.

You’d hope for better service and honesty with a hotel. Upon check-in, no amenities were shared with us. Everything from how to use the elevator, to understanding how the beach chairs and the pool chairs work were not given. The manager, Crystal is a doll, but everything else seems a bit underrated if you don’t run into any other staff. The towel guys were also amazing! It would’ve also been nice to know about the construction in the hotel next-door.

Great overall hotel with a few cons and many pros: Pros: - amazing location, right on the beach and in the middle of the popular tourist street, with lots of shops and restaurants all with 5 minutes walking. - good clean facilities, towel service for beach/pool use. - great breakfast options (we had breakfast included in our stay). Dukes has buffet and hula has good dishes. - has veggie food options - has valet parking (sounds expensive but considering multiple in-out available and cost cheaper or equal to other options around) - rooms are good sized, family of 4 could sleep and stay in comfort. Cons: - not a lot of hotel amenities like hot tub, though we did not miss it due to beach on our footsteps

I really enjoyed my staff and would definitely come again. They have two restaurants that serve great food. Duke's and hula grill. Love the banana pancakes at hula grill. Enjoyed both the breakfast and lunch buffet too. The rooms were clean and the staff was awesome. The location is right on the beach and the main strip.the have daily activities and you can book activities with them. Many shops and a little mini market inside. Would highly recommend.

This is the best place to stay. Great location with many restaurants. Easy to rent umbrella’s and chairs. The shopping is good. Beach fabulous, sunset wonderful! Many activities to choose. Everyone is helpful. The employees greet you warmly.

The whole stay was excellent. Room size, bedding, housekeeping, dukes, beach access. There is nothing bad about it. Step up from the Hyatt from previous stay. Excellent A++++🌸🌺 really need not to say much more trip advisor is making me fill in two hundred words.
