Mixed but Promising Greek Dining Experience
My recent meal at Ouzo Restaurant had its highs and lows. Some dishes impressed, while others fell slightly short.
The Greek salad was fresh and well-composed, with crisp vegetables and creamy feta, but it missed the sharp, tangy punch of vinegar that would have elevated it. Similarly, the tzatziki sauce was creamy and refreshing, though a brighter touch of lemon would have given it that perfect zest.
On the stronger side, the medium-rare steak was cooked flawlessly juicy, tender, and seasoned just right. The grilled shrimp also stood out, packed with smoky, garlicky flavor. Unfortunately, the surf and turf shrimp didn’t deliver the same impact; the shrimp were slightly overcooked and underseasoned, leaving the dish (shrimp) a bit bland.
Despite a few misses, Ouzo shows promise with its highlights. For now, it earns a solid 3.8/5 worth a visit, especially if you stick to their standout dishes.
