"Centrally located on Parque de los Novios, Ouzo serves the city's best Mediterranean dishes, including brick oven pizzas, seared octopus and roasted lamb with orzo. The chef and owner, Michael McMurdo, began his culinary career in New York City at the Michelin-starred Greek restaurant Anthos. On a visit to Colombia, however, he was charmed by Santa Marta and decided to make his home in the city, opening Ouzo in 2011. The result is a celebrated Greek restaurant in an unexpected corner of the Caribbean."

Last night, my partner and I visited this restaurant after reading numerous positive reviews. We made an online reservation and were promptly seated at 9:30 p.m. We decided to order all the seafood starters, and most of them were delicious. The octopus, mussels, and calamari were particularly tasty. However, I found the smoked salmon a bit underwhelming. Overall, everything was enjoyable. The service was excellent, and our hostess even came to check on us twice, which was appreciated. I’m looking forward to returning to Santa Marta and trying some of their other menu offerings.

My seafood pasta was decent, but my boyfriend’s beef was absolutely delicious—cooked to perfection, just the way he wanted. The restaurant had live music, which we really enjoyed, and the service was incredibly attentive. It made for a lovely dining experience overall.

Mixed but Promising Greek Dining Experience My recent meal at Ouzo Restaurant had its highs and lows. Some dishes impressed, while others fell slightly short. The Greek salad was fresh and well-composed, with crisp vegetables and creamy feta, but it missed the sharp, tangy punch of vinegar that would have elevated it. Similarly, the tzatziki sauce was creamy and refreshing, though a brighter touch of lemon would have given it that perfect zest. On the stronger side, the medium-rare steak was cooked flawlessly juicy, tender, and seasoned just right. The grilled shrimp also stood out, packed with smoky, garlicky flavor. Unfortunately, the surf and turf shrimp didn’t deliver the same impact; the shrimp were slightly overcooked and underseasoned, leaving the dish (shrimp) a bit bland. Despite a few misses, Ouzo shows promise with its highlights. For now, it earns a solid 3.8/5 worth a visit, especially if you stick to their standout dishes.

great spot, ate here twice..the beef tenderloin was large, cooked perfect and great price..the roasted potatoes were great and the gravy was amazing..the second night I surfed it up and it was just as good! there was a local dog that hung out on the terrace and would bark at the folks trying to hustle with singing etc..he was a good boy! gave him a taste of the meat!

Lovely patio infront of Parque de Novios. Service is friendly and fast despite being extremely busy when we were there. Pizza was good. A menu item not to my husband’s liking was addressed by the chef in a kind and respectful manner, and replaced with a fabulous braised beef dish. Highly recommend.

Quality restaurant located opposite the Parc des Amoureux. Excellent Mediterranean cuisine, very generous and hearty dishes that remain affordable. Highly recommend.

I ordered a calzone which was the special season dish and it came with a glass of wine. Very good taste. I recommend not to sit outside or next to the street since there were a lot of people asking for money so it’s better not to sit in the border.
