Oh my goodness. How many times I passed this place after fishing the St. Marks and never once stopped in. I have heard good things so my wife and I made a go of it and it was WELL worth it! My wife had the Smoked Mullet and I had the Shrimp Wrapped in Bacon. We also split some hush puppies and some Smoked Mullet Dip and everything was absolutely delicious. The establishment is definitely a locals hangout and the beer is nice and cold. Looking for someone different to eat, check out Ouzts’ Too. You won’t be disappointed!!!

Google
This place is an old time Florida restaurant with oysters, seafood and many other menu items. The atmosphere is great if you like old time Florida. The inside is really unique and cool to look at. I've never been disappointed with the food or the service and will go back as often as I can.

Google
This place is a hidden gem! The Bloody Mary’s were amazing & the food was DELICIOUS! We ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp & appetizer sampler with cheese sticks, poppers, mushrooms and fried green beans. Everything was so tasty but my favorite were the fried green beans. They were so fresh and coated to perfection with batter. We loved every bite and will definitely be back next time we visit! You have to try this place, if you pass by trust me you are missing out!

Google
Got there five minutes before opening, they still had not flipped the place since Saturday night before. Fried shrimp and oysters were amaaaaaaaaazing. A righteous Arnie Palmer to boot. Definitely great Olde Florida Local Color.

Google
Great place! Small town feels on the coast. Have employees who can do it all, front or back and as a previous restaurant manager that is always a plus! We did get our orders mixed up a tad but with three kids and three adults I’m not complaining at all 🤷‍♀️🤣❤️

Google
It’s so hard to find proper old Florida restaurants these days. Most cater to tourists with expensive and mediocre food. Not this place. Pull up and you will find a patio full of chairs that have outlasted their useful life. Walk in the door and you will see dollars plastered everywhere. It’s grimy, the bathroom reeks of sulphur, and the bartender openly discusses his issues with his probation officer. But this is what makes this place great. It has a lived in feel, serves fresh food (even the coleslaw), and the service is exceptional provided you’re not looking to be catered to constantly like a 5 year old even though you’re 50. The food did not fall off a Sysco truck into the frier here. I have no idea where they source from, but the fried fish is ridiculously good. Same for the shrimp and oysters. Chef Mike definitely does not work here. It’s the definition of a hole in the wall, and does not disappoint if you’re willing to give it a shot. If you want a fancier setting and mediocre food, head to Saint Marks.

Google
We sat outside and brought our dog. Grungy place, casual, very friendly people. Delicious fish sandwich! Loved the crinkle fries with Lawrys salt. Mullet dip yummy! Sunday live music- band Alley Cats were awesome... Great choices in songs and very personable to the crowd. Many people brought their own chairs as seating is limited. Lots of beer in buckets sold or mini fireball bottles made the crowd a happy one.

Google
It is a very atmospheric spot on the rural road. Gathered locals are making this place even more authentic. It is very Floridian. No attentive service and cleanliness — what would you expect from a rural location in Florida, huh? But their oysters are a gourmet heaven. That beats everything that are very typical for places like this. They are the freshest oysters I have tried by far, better than in the VA, MD, and DC areas.

Yelp
We tried Outz Too on a whim and the food and service was amazing. We had an adorable waitress named Corey (sp?) and she provided great service. We ate bacon wrapped shrimp and smoked mullet and all our food was exceptional. Be sure to order the smoked mullet dip appetizer, you will not be disappointed. While the building doesn't look like much from the outside, you will be surprised when you get inside, it was clean and believe me the food more than makes up for the lack of fancy!! The prices were very reasonable; our family had a great time!!

Yelp
Gem in Crawfordville !!! Doesn't look like much on the outside but we had amazing food!!! Great service, our waiter was so sweet and friendly, loved the atmosphere and they have live music weekends at night. Hours Wed- Sun 12:00 pm to close! Come try them out!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
I hadn't been there in over a year and the waitress was so sweet and I was there with a big group-she refilled our drinks while we waited a long time for the food. The Philly cheese sandwiches were good but there was only about 2 tablespoons of filling in them. The Cole slaw tasted sour. Even the water tasted like sewer water! My grouper sandwich was some kind of dark brown freezer burned fried something inedible hard thing with mayo, a paper thin lettuce leaf and small slice of tomato. The toasted bun was good lol I used to really like this local place but the food was so different this time. The music and the onion rings were great - don't order the creepy grouper.

Yelp
We were looking forward to trying this tucked away restaurant, as we were staying in the campground across the bridge. We went over on Saturday, May 6th, 2023, at around 745 pm, and we were told they had closed early . We asked about the following night and were assured they would be open with live music. However, we walked over and as soon as we opened the door we were told that they had closed early because it was slow. We were disappointed but what can you do. As we were leaving 4 or 5 other cars were pulling in so they were also turned away.

Yelp
Five of us stopped at Ouzts Too for lunch. The place is not look great from the road but their homemade freshly prepared food makes up for everything. My wife had the heathen fish sandwich with Cole slaw and I had the oyster basket with fries. Those oysters were the best fried oysters that I have had in years. The fries and the hush puppies were very good also. Very friendly staff and excellent service.

Yelp
Ms Dorothy aims to please and always sees to it that you have amazing music to enjoy your lazy Sunday. So grab some oysters and a beer for a relaxing afternoon

Yelp
Great food at a fair price. Just an old school Florida Cracker restaurant. The fried shrimp basket is very good.

Karin B.

Yelp
Service was great! Raw oysters were tasty. The Bloody Mary was delish. The fried food, not so much. I'd go back for the oysters and the cocktails!

Yelp
In an area known for its oysters, this place stands out with incredibly fresh and delicious oysters. We've gone for late lunch and live music the last 2 Sunday's. It's a funky biker bar vibe, extremely friendly group and good rock music. We've tried the raw oysters, blackened grouper sandwich and blackened grouper plate, hooter brown ale from our local oyster city brewery and that's it so far. All fresh and tasty. Cannot give it 5 stars because there is no table service at all. You have to get up and stand on line to order your food and all drink refills. They do run the food out to you. Tables and chairs are grungy and I suspect they are fostering the "funky Florida tiki bar" vibe, but I've gotten to be a germaphobe in the last few years and I'd trade a little of the local authenticity for clean tables and chairs.

Yelp
We went on a Wednesday evening. VERY few people there. It is dirty inside. The service was horrible. ALL of our orders were wrong. It took OVER AN HOUR to get our food. One plus, the raw oysters were good. THAT IS IT. The beer was warm. Never refilled my water. Whatever they fried their food in was OLD OLD grease. I ordered a shrimp and oyster basket GRILLED. The shrimp were like rubber totally overdone and cold. And they fried my oysters. WTH. The excuse they gave was...."come back tomorrow, that's when the food truck comes..." no, I will NOT be coming back. Very frustrating to say the least. The one star is so that I can give a review. If I could make it a half star, I would.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, great service and old school ambiance ! The burger is awesome ! I'd definitely stop by here again. Old school Florida !

Leif M.

Yelp
Man, the place to go. Historic vibes kicking back near the river next to what used to be a wooden road to Tallahassee. Smoked mullet rules. Oysters ain't bad either. Do it.
google avatar

Dave M.

Yelp
I generally don't leave bad reviews, but I feel like I need to in this case. The first time I went to this restaurant a few months ago I ordered the same thing I ordered yesterday, fried shrimp basket and fries. The first time I ate the food it was pretty good, but yesterday was a totally different story. The shrimp was so overcooked it was almost inedible (Read: Super Crunchy) the person I went with, and was driving back to Tallahassee with, when we started to eat it said that he was going to feed his order to his chickens. The fries were just terribly soggy, and to pay $15 apiece for those meals is just ridiculous to get that poor quality of food. I won't be going back.

Yelp
Me and my sweetheart went out to that there St. Marks Lighthouse, n' on the way out of the preserve we was fixin' for some good supper. The missus spotted this lil' joint n' decided we would settle in for some food here. Walkin' in, the first thing I noticed was the good ole' signs of America- we had seen bout' 4 rebel flags n' enough trucks out front to haul the building itself! We were seated jus' about right away, at the booth right near the door. The menu's came out on some printer paper, which indicated to me and the missus that the food was about to be delicious. We placed our drink orders immediately, and they came out quick, I appreciated that. By this time, my stomach was rumblin' sum'n awful. I was *craving* sum oy'ster, so I got me bout' $10 worth. They done came out with all the fixin's- some Tabasco, that Marinara sauce n' most importantly, horseradish strong enough to put the hair back on my head. The oy'sters also came out with a bucket o' saltines, great value for that. The missus ordered some hushpuppies n' some tater' salad, both of which were dog-gone, downright, delicious. As a red-blooded American, the one thing that made me a bit disgruntled about that there location was all the defaced money on the walls. I mean, there was bout' a thousand bucks worth o' bills on the walls n' ceilin's! Overall, I'd have to give this spot bout' a 4 out of 5. If you're a real American, you'd better appreciate this spot. Liberals! Stay out! This here is for the real Merican's!

Yelp
Outz Too was a wonderful little restaurant right by St Marks Wildlife e Refuge. The oysters were fresh and delishes. We shared a platter with grilled shrimp and fish plus fried oysters, french fries, and hush puppies! Yum! The owner, Dorothy, came out to say hello Our server, Laura kept our glasses and bellies full! Great service and great food! The chef suggest d that we use the "Ho" sauce on everything, and we loved it! There were dollar bills hanging all over the bar and walls. They have Wednesday night specials and live music on the weekends. We will definitely return if in the area again!

Yelp
OMG. It's good. Period. Food is fresh, seasoned well, beer is cold and service is great.

Mandi M.

Yelp
I was terrified of all of the Confederate flags. Couldn't wait to get out. Only had a Coors Light. Might have good food but I won't be trying to find out.

Yelp
If you're looking for a "diners, drive-in's and dives" This meets the dive category. All in a good way. This is a place where a biker might stop for a bite to eat, and anyone else looking for a good burger, ribs, or seafood for that matter.. The food was excellent and well as the live music that performed on their outdoor stage. I had oyster stew, which was full of oysters and seasoned well. They onions were on the heavy side and not cooked down enough. They must have run out and the cook was hasty in his preparation of a new batch. The special wee re ribs, which were smoked to perfection and very tasty. High marks on the ribs.. All in all a great time.. check this place out.

Yelp
I was out with a group for a combo birthday / anniversary gathering and this was the location of choice. Being that I'm not a beer drinker or "barfly" this is what I consider a roadside biker bar. The beverage selection is limited to beer, a wine or tap water. They do serve food which was mostly fried (and a little greasy). The service was good and very friendly but I'm not heading back unless it's for others in the group.

Yelp
We tried to eat here but the place smelled so badly of garbage and urine that we couldn't stand to be inside for more than a few minutes. The front door was wide open with no screen and the insects were having a field day flying in and out. There were two overflowing trash cans right between the parking area and the front door - we had to walk by them to go inside. Look at their photo of the place, you'll see the cans! We've eaten in a number of local places in this area and and really enjoyed them - the food at those places has been outstanding and we aren't bothered by simple, unpretentious settings. This restaurant, however, was unbearable for the reasons stated above. I take no joy in writing a review like this, but I have to be honest.

Katherine R.

Yelp
I recently had lunch there with my daughter and granddaughter. I hadn't been in many years. But I was still very pleased. Food was very very good. And portions were very generous. They get a AA+ from me
google avatar

Leah B.

Yelp
It's an oyster place with bands on the weekend. We try to catch it when in the area. Last week the oysters were large but did not have a lot of flavor. That's August oysters sometimes. Staff great. Band was fun.

Augie D.

Yelp
Stayed in St. Marks this summer and went here for dinner. Highly recommend. Super friendly staff and food was excellent.

Yelp
Worst customer service and excuses for a restaurant. We like to support Mom-Pop places and chose this place. If you're a regular and have all day to wait then you're good. But waiting for OVER an hour and being told they have an itty bitty grill and 2 fryers...and oh so this is your first time here so you don't know how we work.... if you want people to come back then make some changes. Short staffed and there were at least 5 employees walking in and around and every one of them came and told us they were short staffed and that they have an itty bitty grill. 10% discount didn't make up for the loss of our travel time. So if you have NOTHING better to do then stop by. If you want to eat in a timely manner with people who care about customer service...keep driving.

Katie F.

Yelp
Loved it. As authentic and local as you can get. Go for that but stay for the food. Seafood is fresh, locally sourced. Started with a dozen shucked oysters, having had a nice chat with the guy who handled that chore. (A guy brave enough to wear a Bama cap within spitting distance of FSU). Best grouper sandwiches ever followed Decor inside is cool dive. Outside is, well, just a dive but we enjoyed it as dog friendly
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Best fish sandwich and hush puppies ever. Thoroughly enjoyed the fried fish on Texas toast and the gigantic home-made hush puppies. Everything is home made here and super fresh. My husband got the smoked mullet and he said it was fantastic too. Interesting, eclectic atmosphere and friendly, personal service. Great experience. Glad we stumbled on this place while visiting here.

Yelp
My dad and I exhausted all of the places in Tally for oysters, so we made the drive out to Ouzts Too on a Friday night (it was my dad's first trip). The night could not have gone better. The staff were very polite and entertaining and they had a good crowd of people doing karaoke. The food was amazing. The raw oysters were the best we have ever had and had GREAT flavor. My dad got the oyster stew which he said was the best he's ever had. Good amount of butter, cream, FILLED with oysters, and some onion. I got the fried oyster and fried shrimp platter with baked beans instead of fries. The fried oysters were nothing short of phenomenal. The fried shrimp were ok, but definitely not the best I'd ever had. I'd stick to oysters and fish here. Cheap, cold beer also...which is always a plus

Yelp
I'll preface my review by saying that the food here is spectacular (more on that in a second); however my conscious just won't allow me to leave higher than a 3-star review to a place that decorates the ceiling with confederate flags no matter how good the food is. I'll get off my soap box in a second. I get it: it's the south, southern pride etc. but my expectations for folks no matter where they're from are too high, and I believe too strongly in the potential for human evolution and progress to breeze over the fact that it's 2017 and it's unacceptable to keep subscribing to these super antiquated and problematic excuses and displays. That said the food here is delicious. After a super gorgeous and blustery hike at St. Marks my pregnancy hunger was veracious. I (and most of the people in my group of 10) ordered the shrimp Po Boy (mine with onion rings please!), but there was gumbo, shrimp with cajun rice, oysters and other delightful lunch items. Everyone was ecstatic. While I was barred from the oyster platter because pregnancy is the worst they looked phenomenal and the bakers dozen was slurped up by folks in record time. The Po Boy was awesome: definitely a Floridian take on the nawlins classic with breaded and fried gulf shrimpies, tartar sauce, diced tomatoes and lettuce. I smothered it in catsup and probably would have enjoyed it even more had I not inhaled it in 4 bites. The onion rings were exquisite and only improved by a dunking in their ho sauce which sounds vulgar but is divine (think creamy horseradish). The service was super friendly with all the southern charm in the world and while it took a while for our food to come we did have a ginormous party and were able to munch on some pretty awesome chips and salsa in the meantime.

Yelp
So there is this hole in the wall, backwoods biker type bar which serves cold beer and good grub with live outdoor music. It's called Ouzts Too. It is definitely out of the way, located at Hwy 98 and the St Marks river bridge. If you are offended by rebel flags, NASCAR, Waylon Jennings, or generally anything Southern this is not the place for you. Both patrons and staff are friendly and laid back. It is a great motorcycle stop along the panhandle part of Hwy 98. They have a lovely toilet bowl garden out back. Be careful crossing Hwy 98 if you park across the road...

Linda E.

Yelp
Great dive! Terrific service. Fresh oysters that have been farmed and are shucked where you see. The best smoked mullet you've ever eaten. Gumbo & oyster stew made by the owner and are delicious. Beer is always cold. No pretense here. Bands on Sunday afternoons. You'll meet lawyers, doctors, plumbers, motorcyclists, etc. On Wednesday they have a 4.00 meal with a dollar draft.
google avatar

Michelle O.

Yelp
Fun place! Awesome service! Friendly friendly accommodating folks!!! Food was delicious! The smoked mullet is yummy!!!
google avatar

Jamie V.

Yelp
My absolute favorite spot. The oysters are fresh and shucked right there and the mullet dip is to die for . The best part of all is the staff. I have felt like family since the first time I walked in. I highly recommend this place
google avatar

Sandy R.

Yelp
Bacon wrapped shrimp was delish along with the blackened shrimp! We arrived in time to hear the band play for about 45 min and it was packed but everyone was friendly and we still managed to find a seat and enjoy the music. Would come back next time we are visiting the area.
google avatar

Shannon P.

Yelp
Oysters were awesome. Band was playing outside. Must have been a busy weekend. They were out of a lot of the fresh food.

Linda T.

Yelp
We had 14 in our party and the service was very friendly and fast plus no rushing. Hamburgers were awesome. Fried shrimp and fried oyster baskets were plentiful; enough to take home. Don't forget to try the fried fish basket too. Yummy! You get a great meal for a great price!
google avatar

Julia R.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise to find this little gem! The best, freshest oysters I have ever eaten! I ordered the combo basket with grouper and oysters, and both were excellent! Delicious slaw also!! Definitely will be taking my husband back down to this place!!
google avatar

Stormtrooper H.

Yelp
This place is a hole in the wall/biker bar (literally), so if that's not your thing then don't go here. That said, everyone was really nice to us and the food is some of the best we'd had in the area. Everything was fresh and tasted great, not to mention that the mullet dip was unbelievably good! The bad on Sunday was worth staying for, and we drove the 45 minutes each way on Tuesday to have lunch there a 2nd time.
google avatar

Saimir O.

Yelp
A real Salt Life experience! Tons of bikers outside, a loud band, cool location on The Forgotten Coast and terrible service! I had the blackened fish and it was good. Nothing fancy, straight up blue collar plate. Had to ask for my tea to get refilled because obviously service is not a requirement to be employed here. You may not want to go here, if you're uncomfortable in situations where a man loudly smacks a woman in the ass (who may or may not have been his wife) and even louder says "hey baby!!". You also may not want to go here if you don't like hordes of slightly drunk, tall, skinny men that are missing a few teeth and are loudly communicating/yelling/laughing with other men with similar features that have Rebel flag bandanas on. Another situation may be something like, you walk in and have absolutely no idea where to order or if someone will ever come to take your order and no one acknowledges you and you go up to the bar and the bartenders don't care that you're there; if this makes you uncomfortable you may not want to go here either. But these are the reasons you should go there. People have stapled, glued or spit-stuck dollar bills all over this bar! Some have simple names on them while some have existential questions written on them, and I hope some have philosophical quotes; I damn sure didn't read them all. Mine simply said "With Love! From Albania" What will yours say?! Go there, relax and enjoy this slightly out-of-norm, uncomfortably weird, excellent experience, write something on a dollar bill, spit on the back of it and stick it to a wall. You could also just use tape but spit is probably a better glue considering the environment. And get there early, they've sold out of oysters each and every single day even though they've increased their orders weekly. Maybe this is a 5* restaurant after all.
google avatar

Yelp
A few years ago I ate at Ouzt's and I had the fried mullet and swore I wouldnt go back. It was very greasy and just not good. However, friends kept saying they loved the place so my husband, daughter-in-law and I stopped by again today. My oyster po boy was very good. The oysters were cooked perfectly. I ordered it with tartar sauce which was a bit heavy on the mayo. But still good. My husband got a hamburger and it was average at best. He also got the potato salad which was also heavy on the mayo. However, the main problem today was the service. We ordered relatively soon after being seated but didn't get our food for over an hour later. No one came to our table to check on us or give us an explanation as to the delay. When we finally did get to ask about our order we were told it was ready. Still didnt get it for about 5 to 10 min later. Won't be back.
google avatar

Bob S.

Yelp
Stopped here on my way to a beach weekend, had a dozen oysters and a beer. It was good. Stopped on the way BACK from the weekend, and had a dozen oysters, and a large smoked mullet, and iced tea. It was good. Place doesn't look like much from the outside (or the inside either, come to think of it) but it's clean, the staff is pleasant, and will talk with you if you like. A couple of tables inside, and lots of bar stools. Large seating area (picnic tables) outside, with netting to keep the bugs down. Right at the St. Marks River bridge on US98, west bank. Don't be afraid. Go.
google avatar

Yelp
Super disappointing. I'm not sure if I caught this place on a bad day, but I really don't recommend eating here. The service was extraordinary slow and not at all friendly. (The server seemed totally engrossed in her own fatigue, which she expressed verbally repeatedly, to the point of not being effective at any of the basics - water service, taking orders etc. She was so tired and overwhelmed that she even had customers write their own orders on her order pad while she attended to other tasks... and the restaurant was hardly busy.) The food was even slower than the service. (I ordered oysters - raw and steamed - and a salad, which took an hour to serve.) And the food quality didn't make up for the slow service. (The raw oysters had some shell fragments in them, and when I asked about when my steamed oysters would be ready the server told me she just had to 'get them out of the microwave'.) I was also irritated that some folks who ordered after me got their orders (of oysters) before me. And the bar (where I sat to eat) was of questionable cleanliness.
google avatar

Becky C.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch as we passed through town. Had 1/2 dozen raw oysters and abbot. Good simple food and friendly people from the patrons to the servers! They even brought our dog a hush puppy to snack on! It's a very casual laid back atmosphere. Reasonable prices. In door and outdoor seating. Dog friendly!
google avatar

Annette W.

Yelp
Really fun place! If you rode by and saw all the motorcycles and beards you might be afraid to stop, lol! BUT was taken there with some friends and it is an awesome place and really nice people. What is amazing is the diversity of the crowd ... men/women from young to into their eighties, from bikers to doctors! Extremely well behaved and courteous crowd! I've never seen anything like it before! Absolutely not a bad or dangerous place, lol ... live band, good food, and amazing fun even just watching people, lol. Great opportunity to enjoy life (as a friend put it) "Outside the Box" LOL
google avatar

Gavin W.

Yelp
All the food is over salted. Confederate flags everywhere. Kind of scary. "Gourmet" grilled cheese is American cheese on bread. Nothing gourmet. Went for alliteration over substance. Pass over if you can.
google avatar

Tom W.

Yelp
I don't like to eat a chain reasurants when I travel. This is a small quaint oyster bar. I had a dozen raw oysters, a bowl of very good gumbo and some smoked Mullet. This is a small no thrills place with no candle lights. Good food, beer and football on the TV.
google avatar

Katie S.

Yelp
Found this oyster shack on the way back from alligator point and we loved it! It had a very fun and unique and fun atmosphere. We all ordered raw oysters so of course they were good. Our waitress recommended us getting the oyster shooter shot and it was interesting to say the least, but a must have!

Rhonda S.

Yelp
OMG! Eating at Ouzts Too the lady is bringing out one plate at time. Oh if you are not eating the special tonight forget about even being waited on. They are spinning wheels. The service is not just bad but sad. On Wednesday nights they have the special. You can't get anyone to wait on if you don't order the special.
google avatar

Ray H.

Yelp
You will be surprised by the food served in this dive bar. Very tasty! Best raw oysters around hands down. Service has always been good with a smile. Ps. Bring a dollar with you to put in their wall
google avatar

Rhonda F.

Yelp
We love to dine at unusual places, local hang outs and this place did not disappoint! Food was excellent and a reasonable price. The decorations will keep you busy while you wait for your meal. As we explored the "the lost coast of Florida" this fit our goal of revisiting Florida as it was many years ago. From the toilet bowl flower garden in the back of the restaurant to the $1 bills on the walls and flags on the ceiling. We are not offended by confederate flags...it is after all a part of our history. We can only hope that we have learned from that regrettable period in Americans history. A marine flag is also displayed.
