ROUTE OF THE MAYAN - Traveled to Central America with Overseas Adventure Travel Company OAT and was impressed by every tour, hotel, chosen activities with locals and the excellent chosen guides. Our trip leader, Carlos Lopez, was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. This was my first time with OAT and I loved how organized and detailed the itinerary was. I highly recommend them for your travel they keep it simple, engaging and small groups of people from all over the world.

Just returned from the OAT TRIP The Wilderness Beyond, Tierra Del Fuego &The Chilean Fjords. I am a 21 time traveler with OAT. This trip so exceeded my expectations. The remoteness, grandeur & adventure with luxury. Our guide Berenice was A+ in enthusiasm, knowledge, joy, caring, patience & professionalism. (Boston still needs improvement on their end) The guides & quality for your money make up for Boston’s shortcomings. Highly recommend!!

Google
New Zealand with a pretrip to Australia was an amazing trip. First of all we had excellent guides, Grant and Christie, which made our trip so stress-free. Both countries are beautiful, both the landscape and people. Our cotravelers were interesting, kind and turned into friends. There were many highlights of the trip including the Barrier Reef, the little blue Penquins, kiwis and the beautiful mountains, waters and cities. I was surprised how easy the long airline flight was as we were all dreading it. I slept more and didn't have the same jet lag as traveling to Europe. I would definitely recommend this trip.

Review: Machu Picchu & The Sacred Valley with Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT) Our 15-day cultural adventure through Peru with Overseas Adventure Travel exceeded every expectation! From start to finish, the experience was seamless, enriching, and unforgettable. Our Trip Experience Leader, Raul Gamarra, a Cusco resident, brought Peru’s rich and diverse cultures to life. His deep knowledge of indigenous traditions, warm personality, and thoughtful support helped us fully enjoy time at altitudes exceeding 14,000 feet—and savor Peru’s incredible native cuisine. Before the trip even began, Raul reached out to learn about our individual interests and “bucket list” goals. He went above and beyond, helping us secure last-minute, hard-to-get tickets to hike Huayna Picchu, the iconic peak behind Machu Picchu. Despite its nickname, the “Stairs of Death,” our group of four found the trek moderately challenging but safe and deeply rewarding—fit hikers can reach the summit in about an hour for breathtaking views! Cheers and kudos to Raul—we’ve truly been spoiled for any future guide! As for OAT, what an outstanding travel company. Our accommodations were comfortable and beautifully appointed, our private charter buses top-notch, and our itinerary purpose-driven. Visits to indigenous communities and a local school supported by the Grand Circle Foundation gave the trip even more meaning. Along the way, we made 12 new lifelong friends and strengthened bonds with our best travel buddies. Outstanding adventure. Exceptional experience. We’ll definitely be back for more! 🌄🇵🇪

My trip with OAT called "Crossroads of the Adriatic" was a life changing experience! Our Trip Experience Leader", Mario was amazing! He was intelligent, thoughtful and extra energetic. We visited historic towns, seaside cities, and learned first hand about the conflict in Bosnia. Home visits were touching, and the visits to Croatian lakes, mountains and caves spectacular. I highly recommend this trip...but be ready to climb stairs and walk in cobblestone and slopes!

Google
From start to finish my OAT trip to Egypt was fabulous. OAT handled all pre-trip arrangements seamlessly. When I arrived Cairo a representative met me before I went through customs! He escorted me through the visa process and gave me a running commentary on the hour-long drive to the hotel. The tour itself was magical. Our guide Hussein arranged interesting side trips not on the regular schedule, handled our group with ease, and provided excellent commentary about Egypt's history. Of course we interacted with locals at a home hosted dinner and at an island where a farmer/fisherman guided us around the farmland and provided a delicious lunch at his home. When the war in the Middle East broke out, the company handled all without stressing us. I have absolutely no complaints about my Egypt experience. What a fabulous time I had!

Lucho de La C.

Google
It was a pleasant trip. From 1 to 5 I would say it was a 3. Not very many interesting sights. The food was marginally at most. Manik our team leader was very nice and accommodating. He should. Continue to try to improve his English

Google
What is not to love about traveling the world with one of the superb tour companies that seems to find the very best of the best trip experience leaders. We just completed our fifth OAT trip. Each seems to be better than the last — and the very first was exceptional. Competitive prices, top notch service, extraordinarily gifted trip leaders, and a complement of curious fellow travelers.

Yelp
Couldn't have asked for a better trip. Our team leader Breena was incredible, the group bonded immediately and the sites chosen for us to see were amazing. Hotels, food, transportation were so nice and accommodating! Best trip ever with OAT!
google avatar

Pete Z.

Yelp
1. The guide, Tom was knowledgeable, passionate and entertaining. 2. The small group immediately bonded and cared for each other. 3. The sites were wonderful even to me a city person. 4. OAT helps us give back to the countries and people we visit.

Yelp
After go with other agencies many years, decided to try OAT on the Patagonia trip. Super excellent that we already looking into another OAT trips Not only careful planned scenic attractions, home-dinner visits and local culture and toplic discussions are truly make OAT program so outstanding than other agencies. Our guide, Julio, very knowledge on nature and culture, even music and dance. Have a big heart, friendly and kind with both us and local guides and drivers. Also very detailed and full of patience. Big smiles all the time and great local stories. Their attractions arrangement also impressive, always have easy, medium and hard choices for each destination. Most important, we learned so much about patagonia and met many new friends.
google avatar

Yelp
Great scenery and a fantastic trip director! Our director is not only knowledgeable but also has impressive language skills--she speaks 5-6 different languages. She always works hard and, most importantly, cares deeply for all the seniors on the trip. Vanessa is simply the best , we love her so much ! BUT the food on the ship was very poorly prepared. They only served medium shrimp once, and it wasn't very fresh. The fish had a strong fishy smell, and the duck legs were overcooked, making them very dry and tough. The only tasty dish was the beef, but it was offered in very small portions and only a few times In 10 days cruise! Since most of the destinations on this trip were islands, we expected plenty of fresh seafood, but the ship didn't provide any. It was truly disappointing!

Herb H.

Yelp
Overall trip was excellent. Our guide, Steiny, was beyond excellent! He was knowledgeable, organized, knew and executed the daily itinerary with ease and really knew the ins and outs of his country and Greenland. He literally seemed to know and be know by people everywhere. Great that he joined us on the Greenland trip as well.

Patty O.

Yelp
Excellent itinerary and weather. We saw plenty of animals. Enjoyed the Wilderness tented camps. Transfers all executed without a hitch and on time between camps. Food was so much better than expected and wilderness and Bush Ways staff exceeded expectations. Our tour guide was the first to spot the leopard!

Bruce W.

Yelp
The trip was fast paced and gave everyone just a taste of seven countries. The crew on the ship were outstanding in taking care of everyone. Having a taste of local cuisine in each country was fun.

Yelp
My wife and I just returned from the OAT "Ultimate Africa - Botswana, Zambia & Zimbabwe Safari" trip. Having traveled to all reaches of the globe over several decades, I can honestly say that this was the trip of a lifetime! We visited 4 countries - South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana, spending most our time in tent camps deep in the bush. A couple of game drives each day (early mornings and late afternoons) allowed us to observe 50+ species of mammals and countless birds. And a hike into Victoria Falls was simply awe inspiring. This is "small group travel" with a total of 14 people exploring different cultures and landscapes with a focus on a wide range of "Learning and Discovery" and "A Day In The Life" topics. Anyone who is even a bit adventurous should seriously consider making this journey to Africa. It will truly change your life forever!

Yelp
From beginning to end I loved it all. Our tour guide made it magical. His poetic way of telling the stories held my attention. The country is underrated. OAT has a way of immersing you in the culture. The people were welcoming and I always felt safe. Everything is organized and well thought out. Enough time to spend on your own if you want and an answer to every question. Never a I don't know unless followed with but I'll find out. And did I mention the food!!!!

Beckie B.

Yelp
Great trip with OAT to N Spain and Portugal. First of all, our trip leader was fabulous. Every need was dealt with by her. She was friendly and knowledgeable. The landscape was beautiful on the Santiago de Compostela. OAT does in depth experiences like having dinner with a local family abd visiting a family farm that does horse therapy. There was plenty to experience in the cities of Bilbao and Porto too. Food and wine? Check. So much food that I'm working off the 2 pounds I gained. All in all, we find OAT tours and good value and highly recommend.
google avatar

Marian Z.

Yelp
Game viewing was amazing. Better than 3 star accommodations. Great food. Overall good value for cost of trip.

Diane D.

Yelp
This was the best group we have ever traveled with in our 11 OAT trips! The trip itself was outstanding. Our TEL, Zineb, was unfailingly enthusiastic and did all she could to make this trip memorable. From our start in Rome on to our 10 days aboard M/V Athena to the finale in Avignon, every day produced great memories and new adventures.

Yelp
I have been traveling with this company for over 10 yrs. I love the hotels as they are top of the line. The reason for the three stars is that they have really cut back on visiting the top rated venues and museums in the cities that you travel to. For example the most fabulous museum in the world is in Paris called the Louvre and the most beautiful castle in the world is the Palace of Versailles. Most tour groups visit these places. We were unable to go because our brand new untrained tour guide hadn't the knowledge before hand to make arrangements before they were sold out. All I did in Paris was take a ride down the Seine river and Shop. Not what I wanted to do as I can shop at home. This was common in every city we visited. We only visited places that were inexpensive or free.

Judith S.

Yelp
Had a superb trip to Scotland with OAT- we visited a farm and brushed highland coos (coos) learned to pipe with a stunning piper, had delightful home visits as well as touring the castles, woodlands, and Loch Lomond. We enjoyed delicious cuisine, a great group, excellent leaders and guides and charming accommodations. I loved singing karaoke in Glasgow, appreciated haggis and was fascinated by Scotland's amazing recycling and eco program.

Yelp
I was on the trip titled "Crossroads of the Adriatic: Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Slovenia Adventure" and cannot say enough how wonderful this trip was. O.A.T has "Trip Experience Leaders" and ours was beyond amazing: organization, unruffled by changes and problems (just a few) and so caring for each of us. O.A.T's trips are well curated for a mixture of fun and educational experiences including challenging topics related to the region. This was my first trip with them, it was small group (13) and it convinced hesitant me that I will definitely be traveling with them more in the future.

Yelp
the trip to France was wonderful. I learned a lot about France, French culture and history. the countryside is beautiful. I especially appreciated seeing smaller towns and cities. our guide Gwen was excellent. She is kind, caring, energetic. supportive, well versed in French history.

Yelp
Just got back from the OAT Java & Bali: Indonesia's Mystical Islands adventure. It was wonderful. Aside from stunning encounters with orangutans and Komodo dragons in the wild, we were exposed to the complexities and beauty of Indonesia. The country has six authorized religions, a participatory democracy from the local village level to the national level and caste systems. Its geography ranges from beautiful beaches to rain forests to active volcanoes. The people are delightful and OAT ensures you meet them on the neighborhoods and homes. It's a wonderful trip with western amenities and local interactions. Adi, our guide, Wass as superb a trip leader as I have ever had. It's worth trying to ensure you're on one of her trips.
google avatar

Yelp
I was a "guided trip" skeptic as I've done all my travel independently. I have to say, I was blown away by the level of cultural immersion and quantity of local experiences we were able to participate in with the OAT group. Our Trip Leader, Ciro Villavicencio, has to be the best trip leader of all time. He made the trip! Peru, the country, was pretty awesome as well!
google avatar

Laurie M.

Yelp
A tour through these countries and their very foreign languages (not just sound but alphabet and intonation) made it impossible to have done this trip on our own. The OAT experience is well organized and friendly. The sheer number of temples and places to see left us exhausted; it was great to be able to say "no I will do what I want this morning" (or anytime) which allowed us to set our own pace. The food was incredible; we tasted things we otherwise would never have dared nor thought of, and the guides were superb. On the downside, it was very noisy. We were in large cities most of the time, nearly always in our group of 16 with the guide describing, enlightening, and teaching. There was very little alone or quiet time if we wanted to experience it all. OAT staff, planning, organization, and implementation are excellent.

Bonnie S.

Yelp
Trip leader was very organized and attentive to our needs. Home visit was excellent-- well organized, responsive to our interests, and educational. Itinerary included too many shrines and temples! Learned little about modern Japan or its current government, health system, educational system, etc
google avatar

Leslie S.

Yelp
My daughter and I had a tremendous experience touring with OAT in the Balkans. Our tour leader, Adis, was top notch. He curated an expertly paced and multi-faceted immersive learning experience. Not only city tours, this trip gave us the chance to hear from people who lived through war, have dinner with residents in their homes, stay at a living history farm, make cheese and pasta, and accompany a truffle hunter and his dogs on a demonstration hunt for truffles in the forest. We visited world-renowned sites such as the medieval walled cities of Dubrovnik, Kotor, Motovun, and the smallest in the world, Hum (pop. 26), and natural wonders like Plitvice Lakes, Postojna Caverns, and Lake Bled. Don't miss the castles on Lake Bled and in Ljubljana. Adis gave talks and passed around materials when we were on the move to each next destination. The hotels were top tier and the food was spectacular.

Yelp
Great trip with a great tour company (OAT)! As very seasoned travelers who have never been part of an organized tour, our trip to Northern Italy & the Dolomites could not have been better. OAT has a fantastic small-group approach, spending time in less-touristy towns, interacting with locals regarding agriculture, cooking, culture and politics. Luca, our tour guide, is gifted in terms of his genuine engagement with each member of our group and realistically sharing his insights and love of everything Italian.

Yelp
I took a 16 day trip to India in late 2024, and it was fantastic. From the amazingly helpful, funny and knowledgeable tour guide to the well-located hotels, impressive and often centuries-old temples and practices, and extremely friendly people we met in each city, it was a wonderful trip. The interested and interesting travel companions complemented the experience. Being a traveler retired from business for several years, I'd like to offer a response to the complaints that tours are too slow for younger travelers. For sure OAT trips are not biking or hiking events; if that level of exertion is your interest, great but find a different tour. However, our guide daily addressed the availability to go beyond the hosted activities and venture out for additional experiences. In other words, we could each pace ourselves according to personal desires and needs. It was each person's choice, and the additional suggestions were equally interesting. India is a colorful, friendly country full of historic sites, conflicting issues which they address with candor, and great shopping, if one is so inclined. I look forward to a repeat visit.

Yelp
My wife and I just completed our first tour with OAT. We went on a Mayan tour covering El Salvador,Honduras, Guatemala and Belize A majority of the 16 day tour was spent in Guatemala. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and it actually exceeded our expectations. The tour leader was exceptional and the local guides were all excellent. The hotels ( with one or two that were a little adequate) were excellent as was the meals. What was really, nice about the tour is that not only did we see many ancient Mayan ruins but we also got to interact with the local population (especially in Guatemala). Bottom line is that we would highly recommend this tour and will certainly consider other OAT tours based on this experience.
google avatar

Yelp
New Zealand has absolutely beautiful landscape so be sure to visit north and south islands from fields to mountain tops. OAT has that available with knowledgeable guides and local Māori contacts.

Yelp
OTA puts Americans in GRAVE danger and risk! My other half is on the trip in Indonesia right now and is on airlines that is at risk of being shot down but as usual OTA could care less- all they care about is taking Americans $$$. When I called the hotline, they told me that their 1st concern was there travelers YEA RIGHT! OK then if they are your 1st concern is about your traveler then put everyone on ANOTHER airline and NOT have them been sent to a country that is at war for a layover - the hotline said NOTHING! You know why?? because OTA is all about the $$ - I have NEVER seen a tour company telling people on the tour to bring food for the home visit - what if those people have food allergies? There only so many cakes, cookies and candies people can handle! Also, the tour guide brings the tour to meet his parents WHAT? That is nothing but a conflict-of-interest shame on him! Also, I NEVER seen a tour company tell people to give $$ to the schools that go to - Yet another attempt to get "wealthy" American to give money - DO NOT use this place - I do not know why he likes this tour company so much - I would NEVER take a tour with these people!

Yelp
We just returned from the "ULTIMATE AFRICA: BOTSWANA ZAMBIA ZIMBABWE SAFARI." It was just EXTRAORDINARY!!! The logistics of the entire trip were superb! OAT did a marvelous job! We saw, VERY up close, every animal conceivable. The guides were just amazing! An unexpected joy was really getting exposed and immersed in the culture of these fascinating countries - the village and home dinner visits were truly moving. For many years I've been told how incredible a trip to Africa is. Well, it was ten-fold BETTER than I imagined. We also were blessed with an extraordinary trip leader, Bulisani Mathe. His knowledge, demeanor, and organizational skills were absolutely the very best. HE made the huge difference! What a life-changing, life-altering experience this was! I can't praise OAT enough.

Catherine S.

Yelp
Japan is a country with incredible historical sites. The people are respectful and unique in their lifestyles. The quiet streets, beautifully dressed people, efficient transportation systems and their unified national belief in order and efficiency offers visitors a world we wish we could emulate in America.

Yelp
Just returned from the splendid Ancient Egypt & the Nile River adventure! Great TEL (Mohamed Ali Elleithy) well paced and so informative. Everything was wonderful- the places, the people, the food, the activities-and the spectacular new GEM- even better than anticipated. And 7 nights sailing the Nile. There is so much to see, to learn to experience and I 'm still reliving the experience. Don't hesitate- GO!

Consuelo S.

Yelp
OAT never disappoint me. Each time is a road less travelled. the local guides were superb and always go out of their way in helping every one in our group. Activities planned were very culture immersive (which I think is OAT exclusive) Our lead guide , Dara, earns all the positive expletives!!!! I vote for her as the Guide of the Year

Scott R.

Yelp
OATS was a great organization to travel with! So organized from start to finish. Great communication and they provided all the information we needed to be prepared for a fun and successful trip. Zakia was our Trip Leader, and there are not enough great words to describe her! She is incredibly hard-working, passionate, knowledgeable and cares deeply about her travelers learning and discovering all that the tour has to offer. We all agreed she, and our drivers, Alex, Nixon, and Shaboni are what made this trip incredible!! I would definitely use OATS again.

Joan P.

Yelp
We traveled with OAT in June 2025 to Sicily, the Amalfi Coast, and Naples. OAT takes you to the highlights one might expect, you learn about the complex layered history of Sicily, but that's only the beginning, because you also learn about contemporary life through various home-hosted meals and conversations. Local guides are knowledgeable and excellent communicators. Pacing worked well for us. There is also plenty of time on your own to explore all destinations. This was our second trip and we are already planning our third.

Nyla K.

Yelp
If you really want to get to know the Highlands of Scotland, then you will want to visit the Orkney Islands with Overseas Adventures Travel. Combined with a couple of days in Inverness and a visit to the Isle of Skye, you will have a new appreciation for the Highlands. Add time in Edinburgh, the Lake District, Chester and a day touring Northern Wales and you will have experienced the diversity and long history of fascinating part of the United Kingdom.

Teresa M.

Yelp
I had an exceptional travel experience through OATS and it started way before I stepped in the airplane. Their pre-travel guide is well written with many helpful tips. The trip itself was highly organized. The tour guide, Cata, was very knowledgeable on all aspects of the country we visited. All the accomodations were top notch with cleanliness, delicious food and courteous staff. The Learn and Discover segments were fun, interesting and allowed me to peek into another layer of the culture. I highly recommend OATS for your next travel adventure.

James V.

Yelp
We had an exceptional tour leader Jessica Sutherland , who embodied everything it takes to be a tour leader... a great tour leader! She trusted us with her knowledge and shared her love of heritage and country that you can't receive , except from someone who shares that history . A very educational tour ...Jessica a descendant of Māori ancestry gave us so much knowledge about the Māori culture and life today and in the past. Jessica got us great tickets to see a live theatre in Auckland to see Murder on the Orient Express . We touched on so many aspects of Māori life that we had never known before , we were grateful for Jessica's patience. We really thank Jessica for giving us such a great experience . Our itinerary was very good , we enjoyed all our days activities . Lunch stops had adequate choices and home cooked meals were pretty unique ..whenu eat with a family .

Yelp
First time traveling as a single (widowed) male and this was my first time on an O.A.T. trip. Everything exceeded my expectations. Four of us went on the pre-trip excursion to the Amazon. Very well worth it and an important part of understanding the complex geography of Peru. Thirteen on us went to Cusco and on to Machu Picchu. The physical grandeur of the site is amazing but the real highlights were the insights into the rich cultural heritage by our guide, Pepe. He shared his love of Peru and make opportunities to meet "ordinary" people. By the way, Willie, our guide in the Amazon did so too. They were both GREAT. My fellow travelers help me feel included and we traveled well together. The trip will very well planned and the guides were great at pacing. I felt safe and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Annur K.

Yelp
Everything was great. I love the trip very much and will suggest to my friends and families.

Yelp
If you've ever had a yearning to experience the beauty, culture, people, food and history of Vietnam, then "Inside Vietnam" with OAT is the trip for you! Every day was filled with new experiences and multiple learning opportunities. The food is fabulous throughout the country...so fresh, so tasty and not at all heavy. The people are fabulous also. They love to share their lives with you and are anxious to learn from you as well. Our trip leader "Tom" was a true joy. He was full of enthusiasm for his country and excited to share every bit of it with us. We ate and drank our way through the country and saw parts of it very few "tourists" would ever have the chance to see. This is a fabulous trip! Sign up today!

Yelp
Overall, my experience on this Moroccan adventure was excellent. This was my third adventure with OAT and they are the ONLY travel organization that I have ever used -- and for good reason. They are unique in providing hands on cultural experiences to interact directly and informally with the local population. During this trip, we were afforded three such experiences. We had tea with a Nomadic Berber family in their isolated tent in the Sahara Desert. We dined with a modern family at their well appointed apartment in the new section of Fes. And we spent a half day with a more typical family in their home built dwelling in the countryside. That is how one can truly engage in the unique living culture of a people. But like any organization there can be positive adjustments. Three times we were exposed to handicraft demonstrations. They were educational, but we found ourselves being exploited as a captive audience in their showrooms, ending us to purchase grossly overpriceditems This was particularly the case for an apothecary and spice vendor who exhibited the the crafts of a snake oil salesman. Charging 3 and 4 times more for items one could find in a local supermarket. Shameful. Finally, while the quality of the selected hotels was above expectation - particularly the refurbished, traditional Riads, too often they were located inconveniently distant from the souks and medinas worthy of independent exploration On the whole, however, I would enthusiastically recommend them to the adventurous traveler.

Yelp
This year I will have taken 11 trips with Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT) and each and every trip has far exceeded my every expectation. Fellow OAT travelers often ask me what OAT trip has been my favorite and my honest answer is "every trip has been a favorite" There are several other travel companies to choose from but none can compare to OAT. OAT's guarantee of small groups, excellent itineraries, experienced local trip leaders, great customer service, great trip locations to choose from and great pricing is why I will only travel with OAT. If you enjoy adventure traveling, then you must experience an OAT adventure. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
These guys do it right from pre trip planning to flawless execution! Small groups, straightforward pricing, excellent choice in destinations, use of local based Trip Experience Leaders and a responsive traveler feedback loop make this company stand out. Just completed 4th trip and all have been outstanding -rich in experiences not found with touristy itineraries. I look forward to more trips and building more memories with OAT!

Yelp
i have taken 8 trips with this company- all trips have been absolutely wonderful. fantastic leaders.

Yelp
Travel With Overseas Adventure Travel at your own peril! My daughter and I went to N. Macedonia, Greece and Albania with the company. On the way home Lufthansa bumped me from the business class ticket I paid for into economy, for a difference of$1178. Even though it was covered by the travel protection plan OAT offered me a voucher for the future no refund. No thank you! Although some of the bus trips were several hours, the bus didn't have a toilet and the guide did not want to stop for restroom breaks. We were forced to rent taxis so we could stop, for a total of $650, but were told by the OAT rep that this was our "personal choice." There was a 79-year-old woman on the trip and from the beginning the guide had it in for her. Finally, he kicked her off the trip, packing her into a taxi to the airport in the middle of the night. I keep getting letters from Harriet Lewis, the company owner, with a letterhead reading "from the desk of Harriet Lewis" and no contact info. Urging me to take more trips. Did her desk send the letters? The rep told me she does not speak with clients. I am a small business owner and when someone who pays me isn't happy, believe me I talk to them.

Kathy H.

Yelp
Trip of a lifetime. We just got back from this amazing trip. Don't wait go do it. OAT is an amazing company.

Adrianne R.

Yelp
Oat or Overseas Adventure Travel is the most amazing travel group You don't just visit important places and take photos, they immerse you in the culture you really get an understanding of the culture, There usually are no single supplements so they don't penalize you for being alone or make you share a room with a stranger I have been traveling with them since 2017 and never once paid a single supplement. I never worry about anything as they take care of it all.

Our Trip Experience Leader (Toshi) was amazing!! We enjoyed many amazing moments, from meeting sumo wrestlers, geishas, and monks, to seeing Mt. Fuji in all its glory. So many beautiful shrines and temples, glorious gardens, delicious sushi, super friendly Japanese - too many wonderful memories to list. My ONLY complaint is that our return travel was epically long, and forced us to abandon an 8-hour layover at LAX to take a shuttle van to San Diego. I tried to fix this before we left to no avail. The time in Japan was wonderful. A+++ However, I recommend that you carefully manage your flight arrangements.

Yelp
The Iceland trip was fantastic. The pacing was great and the sights were amazing. Food was costly but tasty. The people are hard working and friendly.

Yelp
As a retiree of the Tourism industry, it was a real "treat" to have someone else handle all the arrangements and to just sit back and enjoy the scenery, attractions and dining selections. The quality of service and attention was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the small group experience as we got to know each other during the trip. Will definitely use OAT again.

Yelp
Our trip to Northern Italy with Overseas Adventure Travel OATS was ruined by the negative behavior of our tour guide. This was our ninth OATS trips. The previous trips were good enough to get us to travel yet again with them but it will be our last OATS trip. As soon as we got home, we called OATS to cancel our September OATS trip to Morocco. When we called OATS to cancel, the very nice OATS man pleaded with us to talk with customer service before cancelling. We agreed to wait two days but OATS customer service never called us so we cancelled, forfeiting our $500 deposit and $570 trip insurance. OATS lost two previously loyal customers by tolerating a poor tour guide and by their customer service staff not calling us to discuss our concerns.
