Really fascinating museum! Free, no registration needed. About 20% in English. There's a lot of good dioramas and artifacts, not just text. Goes from the maritime silk road, to Qing era emigration, development of overseas "chinatowns," and the key role of overseas Chinese, especially in SEA.
Floors 1-2 are the immigration / overseas Chinese exhibitions. Floor 2 also has a taxidermied animal gallery(???). Floor 3 Is Tan Kah Kee's fantastic antiquities collection.
I personally loved it. I had a short layover so only visited for an hour, but you could spend several hours reading (with translator) and looking at all interesting artifacts.
