A great venue. Not too crowded despite being a sold out event. Quick through security. Getting into the venue was the only minor negative. Unpleasant door staff screaming instructions, instead of organising things correctly in the first place. All other staff were great, easy going, and helpful. Easy access to food and rinks and well organised too. Highly recommend venue.

I love the feeling of so many people gather for music and events like this. However I prefer smaller venues. I love seeing bands more up close and personal. Something special about it. That aside the hydro has great facilities and is pretty well placed to let you both get there and get away. There are also loads of hotel options nearby, even if you need to head into the city centre, which is only 30mins away at most (even walking) Enjoy my pics of night time Hydro DND Clyde. Along with Volbeat and Halestorm

Been to the Hydro multiple times of course as artists don't really go anywhere else in Scotland. Every time I've been it's been great. A few downsides such as doors opening late and expensive drinks. I typically only drink water and had two different experiences on the same night regarding this. First time the staff member was quick to get me canned water. I have no idea how much it was as my partner got a coke alongside it but it was over £9 I think and the 2nd time the staff member was really helpful and and suggested I just get tap water which I guess sounds dumb but I wasn't even aware you could get tap water at the place. So if you're getting water, specify which one you want because paying for water is ermm.. silly Staff have always been really helpful and attentive in harsh situations such as people fainting or needing help at first aid The organisation feels a lot better with the new security system. I was anxious about it as I've never experienced something like it before but you simply just walk through the security room, through the scanner (if you have a bag they will check that) and then queue up in front of the doors. It's a lot more fluid than before where you got scanned by a wand or patted down (if you're a man) staggering the amount of time it takes to get in. Tickets are still scanned at the doors like before but doesn't take long at all. So I'm fond of the change for sure From a past experience the speakers up the back of the venue are quite poor and I recommend avoiding purchasing that area if you care for the sound. If it's all that's left or what you can afford, completely understandable because that was my situation and in the end I was just happy to be there But great venue with great staff overall and amazing gigs

Great place, well organised so you're not having to wait in long queues to get in. Parking is close by but does have a fairly high cost, leaving the parking after a show can mean you're stuck for a while, though sometimes they have attendants that can help keep things moving better. Facilities at the hydro are decent and mostly clean. Irn Bru it's sold, so that's a good thing.

Since returning home to Glasgow I've been fortunate to see some awesome live gigs at the Hydro. Thhe Australian Pink Floyd show was up there in my top 3. Alongside Depeche Mode and the National. Such a great experience and would recommend you go see this band in action.

Husband and myself went to see Simply Red section 006 row B seats 101/102 on the 28th Sept 2025, fantastic night. Seats could be comfier but to be honest i stood most of the night once the guys came on. Alcohol wasn't actually that expensive, crisps on the other hand £2,gave that a miss. Booked up for another 2 shows next year. Great atmosphere, helpful staff.

Don't think there are any bad seats in this venue the way it is set up - been many times but this visit was for Gladiators live with the family - amazing

Great venue, handily served by the train unless you like getting stuck in the adjacent multi story car park. Food and drink is expensive in the venue, but ok to take your own. Team working were all friendly and approachable. Went to see Gladiators live and thoroughly enjoyed the show
