OWN VILLA

This place is incredible! The design is very special and the owners have decorated it in an unique way. The staff and owners are very friendly and attentive. We were treated very well during our stay. The beds are super comfy and there's loads of great details in the room and bathroom. It feels like a paradise in a middle of a small jungle. This is because the super well kept gardens surround all the villas. The food was also delicious. We had great breakfasts by the pool. This was the highlight of Bali for us!

We had an incredible stay at Own Villa in Bali. The level of cleanliness was remarkable and the villa's structure seamlessly blends modern luxury with traditional Balinese charm. The breakfast was delicious. We suggest lounging by the pool, sipping a cocktail. Pietro and his staff were very kind and helpful for all our needs and to suggest places and experiences to us every day to better enjoy the holiday. We can't wait to return to this slice of paradise in the future.

Normally I don’t write review but “Own Villa” deserves that. The place is so authentic, so magic, so chic and I disconnected from the rest of the world from the day1, as I stepped in. I slept in a beautiful room in every single detail. The staff has been amazing and helpful and I couldn’t believe also the food so high quality. I have travelled a lot around the world and I have to say that Own villa is one of my top 3!!!!

OWN VILLA is an amazing place! I loved every moment of my stay! If you’re looking for a unique villa, then book this one. Everything is about details here and the staff is very helpful. The food is nothing special but they offer floating breakfast which is nice. I’d definitely go back here!

An incredible and memorable stay in a truly authentic Balinese setting with such warm hospitality! Our very 'Own' Heaven! This was a 1-night birthday stay and all touches from the Own Villa team were so thoughtful; from a birthday tiramisu at dinner to a floating breakfast the following morning. The villa itself was so beautifully designed with eco-conscious touches throughout, the bed was very comfortable. The dinner was probably the best Italian food we have had in Asia, the pasta and seafood were so fresh. Though it needs to be pre-ordered, it was not an issue for us at all, you are able to order snacks throughout the day. At the heart of our amazing stay was the staff: Ayu, Erline, Widya, Mira, and Kadek. It takes another level of guest service to identify a guest's needs before the guest even asks; at every turn we had a member of the team on-hand, with a big smile. The Own Villa management should be so proud and applauded for their training and for recruiting wonderful staff. If you want to experience an authentic and luxury experience in Bali, you don't need to look anywhere else! Thank you Own Villa.

Own Villa is an absolutely amazing place to stay! This place will blow your mind. The design and decoration are unique and every detail is just perfect. It really feels like you are in nature, even though you are at the heart of busy Canggu. The staff made it the best experience ever. So friendly and helpful, fulfilling every wish. See you soon :)

Okay so, firstly, the staff are wonderful. They try so hard and are incredibly friendly and helpful. This is the first somewhat negative review I’ve posted in 3 weeks in Bali and I wish I didn’t have to but I think it’s important that others know what they’re getting. So it’s beautiful. No question. If you want pics for Insta then super. However 1. The aircon is awful. If you expect a cool room at night, don’t. They wouldn’t even provide a fan as they said it wasn’t needed.. 2. The food. Don’t even bother trying it. It’s the worst I’ve had in Bali. 3. The Wi-Fi is on and off every 2 mins. Don’t expect to warmth Netflix or have any level of decent connection. 4. The fridge was warm. Don’t expect really cold drinks. Yes, we turned it as high as it went but still wasn’t great. 5. Location. You MUST have a scooter or don’t bother. 25+ to the beach by car and no decent restaurants close by. 6. They lock the place up from 6pm and didn’t tell us how to get in. We waited 15 minutes at 9pm trying to call them. Turns out there’s a hidden bell in the foliage but don’t expect to be able to access your villa easily after hours. 7. I don’t mind dogs. I have dogs but if you’re not keen on three dogs lying around the pool or visiting your table and villa for food then don’t book here. They’re sweet dogs but it would be nice to have known before booking. 8. The price. 80% too high for this property. 9. Two hours notice needed for the food. Why this is the case I don’t know given that it’s likely frozen anyway. 10. Expect it to take more than 24 hours to get your washing back. The staff are great. The place looks amazing but beyond that, there are plenty of better places. It’s the most disappointing part of our stay so far. It seems to me as if the owners are foreign who built an amazing place and then forgot about it to be honest. It really could have been amazing if a bit more effort went into it. Eggs Benedict in burned French breadstick with dodgy roast vegetables? There aren’t any close restaurants so be prepared to travel to get decent food rather than relaxing in the villa in the evening. And it’s 2022, at least get some decent Wi-Fi!! Should have been one star but it’s pretty and the staff were absolutely lovely.

Loved every minute at this place - the design is really special, open and comfortable (we both loved the open-air bathrooms, and thought how well we felt sleeping in this kind of environment). The location is SUPER, being only a few minutes scooter ride from the Canggu area of the island, the beach, and lots of cool spots. Lastly, the staff were amazing...including the owners who took so much time to give us the most personal and considered recommendations I think I've ever received from a hotel. Thanks all for the wonderful stay - we'll be back ASAP!
