"The Ox and Stone is set in a beautiful mansion on Alexander Street. Elevated Spanish and Mexican cuisine make up the food menu with special attention given to traditional techniques, with fresh-made nixtamalized corn tortillas, for instance. The cocktail bar shines as a great complement to the cuisine and features a great selection of agave-based spirits."

Vibes were off the chart good. Service was good. They bring out the food as soon as it is ready. I wished the server had offered to pace the food out to us. We got all of our food sent out to us within 5 minutes. Which was alot. The food was good maybe 6.5/10, I don't think we would order these items again they were all "finger foods" and my hands were covered with oils and sauces. Atrocious spot for a first date!. But if that is what you are looking for it is definitely the right place for you. Drinks were good!

Not a bad place. The drinks were really good, but the food was meh in my opinion but my girlfriend enjoyed it. The food isn’t horrible I just can’t justify the prices for the flavors. They had a dj getting set up tonight (Saturday) so I’m sure it gets quite lively. The atmosphere was really loud so good for a group of friends, not the best for a date night in my opinion. All in all it was a good time just not the flavors for me.

Went yesterday for taco Tuesday did not disappoint. We are regulars here now at least once a month with a visit. Ty has been our server the last two or three times and she is lovely. We tried all the taco specials last night and each one was better than the one before, the margarita special comes to the table and the lime is lit on fire at your table. Tastes great with a show 😊

This was a DEPLORABLE culinary experience, if you can call it that. We went back to the location of our first date, hoping to repeat the experience. I have never been so disappointed. We were trapped at the top of the stairs in a table for two subject to constant drafts of wind. Nobody came to serve us. Every time we were asking the busboy or hostess to find our waitress. The food came out IMMEDIATELY. It underwent ZERO preparation. The shrimp tacos were three tiny shrimp on a tiny tortilla covered in cilantro. My seven year old could do better. The chicken enchiladas had a heavy dump of salt in them rendering them dry and so salty they were inedible. We ate the chips and the bread and spent half an hour trying to get our bill so we could escape. You couldn't pay me to go back.

Cool atmosphere and helpful staff. Nice selection of small plates to share for a group or family. Action upstairs when there are events for holidays and weekend fun.

The ambience was lovely and the service was good. Cocktails were also decent. However, I would give the food 6.5/10. We got the calamari, lamb tacos, and Carne Asada. Food came in medium sized portions to share. The tacos were not good. Meat was under seasoned and the tortillas absolutely *saturated* in oil. I had to ask for a new plate since there was so much grease. Ended up throwing away pretty much the entire the tortilla. It was disappointing as each serving comes with two tacos ($17). Whole bill with tip was around $150, which felt steep for the quality and portions we received.

Man where to start? I’ve been to Ox and Stone many times and loved it. This time was awful. Service was slow, uninterested. Took maybe 20 mins to get our drinks, and apps came out before drinks. Somehow the drinks weren’t even good. Margarita tasted like it was made with mix and it came in some weird Terra cotta pot thing. Tacos eventually came and I paid $17 for two mediocre tacos. I swear, last time I went to Ox and Stone it was 3 tacos and they were great. Paid $8.50 each for two tacos I could have made with my eyes closed. Ultimately ended up getting desert (thinking it couldn’t all be bad) and the cheesecake had to have been store bought. Bland, boring, and expensive. Very disappointed with Ox and Stone. Sold me half the experience for the full price. I’d be hard pressed to go back.
