This is a wonderful bed-and-breakfast. Sylvia the owner can’t do enough for you. Her staff, Madeline and Marcos are really obliging always looking to be helpful. Our room was large with a big, comfortable bed, sofa and easy chair. The ensuite bathroom was very large and well designed. The building is old built in the 1700s. Reception and breakfast area are Homely and inviting.|It is a short distance from Magdalene college , pubs, restaurants, shops and areas of interest|Sylvia prepares the breakfast which starts with a Mexican fruit salad and yoghurt that is delicious. After eating a fantastic breakfast you certainly don’t need any lunch. Sylvia is a fantastic host great to talk to has lots of ideas of where you can go. |I will definitely come back to stay here again.

This is a great base for a visit to Oxford as walking distance to all the main historic buildings/places. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, the room was spacious and the cooked breakfast was delicious. The on-site parking was a plus too. All in all a great find. Would recommend a stay.

My wife and I stayed at Coach and Horses for just 2 nights. Sylvia was a wonderful hostess, nothing we asked was too much trouble. The room was well appointed, spacious and lovely, the breakfasts were delicious and the location was good. There were some good restaurants and pubs nearby (ask Sylvia) and it was a nice stroll into town. It was quiet and relaxing. I wish we could have stayed longer.

A serendipitous discovery. I'm reluctant to write this review as I don't really want anyone else to discover this little gem.|Once a pub, now tastefully converted into an 8 room B&B, you could not ask for more. The team, headed by the ebullient Sylvia are utterly charming and helpful. As many others have commented, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and absolutely spotless. Nothing has been overlooked and attention to detail really well thought through.|As for the breakfasts: WOW, what a choice. I found it difficult to decide. I opted for Option 2. It was perfect. The table was already laid with a jug of orange juice and a dish of something I couldn't recognise. This turned out to be Sylvia's magic Mexican "granola". Quite delicious and served with yoghurt. My photo below will show the variety of items on the plate of the hot meal which followed.|I will be back 😋|PS. The rooms to the rear of the house are the quietest. I knew that my room would be facing the street so I went prepared with ear plugs. They worked 👌.

Faultless, a lovely bright and modern room. Decor is homely, with some lovely smile worthy items. Our room (room 4), was large, clean and well provisioned. Bathroom was excellent with a great shower. Bed was comfy and a great night's sleep was had by both of us.||Silvia was a brilliant host, welcoming and friendly. English breakfast was delicious and filling (at last somewhere that cooks fried eggs properly). Given Silvias heritage, i should have asked if she could make Huevos rancheros for breakfast - no matter the full English was great. Even better was the generous portion of fruit salad we got with breakfast.||We will definitely be back - thank you Silvia for making a lovely place for us to rest our heads.|

Good guesthouse. Fantastic breakfast with super fruit dish. Very friendly hosts and in great location for the city. Book the car park as it is small.

On the good side Silvia is a lovely person and helpful with information. The place looks nothing like the photo’s now as you can see the dates on them were a few years ago. Place is very cluttered and needs to be spruced up a bit. Bed was fine though the room was also cluttered Mats in room were stained and bathroom floor and bedroom floor was not cleanTowels need to be replaced as they are a bit thin. Bit like staying at a grandmas house though you have to pay top dollar.

My stay here at Oxford Coach and Horses was, sadly, only for one night. I arrived way earlier than check-in time because I was on a solo trip and coming from London. I wasn’t sure how long it would take me to get there. Sylvia welcomed me with open arms and fed me even though my breakfast wasn’t supposed to happen until the next day. I had an injury on my thumb and she took such good care of me, giving me ice, driving me to my scheduled excursion and even to the airport when it was time to leave. She wouldn’t let me carry my luggage because of my injury, and as it turned out once I arrived back in the states I was told that I had a torn ligament and I had to have surgery. She was like a guardian angel. The Oxford Coach and Horses is a lovely place to stay. The rooms are beautiful and clean. But the best part is the owner, Sylvia. You will never find a person who is more kind. I was so blessed to meet her on my travels.
